that's TV gold.

unreal that nobody was killed. Lotto odds to escape that accident with their lives.

I'd probably pick Forrest but I'm surprised no mention of Apollo 13 yet. I love that movie but actually think Ed Harris was the best actor in that film.

I was waiting outside of the bathroom waiting for my wife to finish cleaning and leave. I find out listening to the other parents talking about the incident....it was that girls birthday. On her birthday, she slid down a slide of ****.
So.... your son provided her, and her family, with a story that will last that girl's lifetime. That's truly 'the gift that keeps on giving.'
I have four kids so I'm fairly immune to any story like this. I've experienced some variation of most. The good thing is that most people with a child will be the ones that understand the best. All you can do is what you did....clean that crap up and move on. Hope the rest of your weekend is a bit more uneventful.

Question: do team doctors actually clear people who are taking anticoagulant medications (blood thinners) or clot busters (TPA I assum you mean?) to play contact sports like football?
That seems like a stunningly bad idea to me
Pretty much no chance anyone is cleared to play football while on anticoagulants. Even NBA player Chris Bosh was denied clearance given use of anticoagulants.
On 5/12/2018 at 2:44 PM, PirateHookerMD said:Thats not necessarily true. Lots of people go on blood thinners for 6 months and then come off, assuming you can find the underlying cause for the initial event. A young otherwise healthy guy was likely trauma vs. hypercoag state. If he's got a hypercoaguable state that could be a problem if he needs lifelong anticoag.
This pretty much sums it up. I'll echo that.

1. He's our best player
2. He has not lost a step
3. He's still under contract
4. After Spiller I don't see the Bills ever drafting a RB early.
.....NOT going to happen!
I don't post much anymore...no time. However, I felt a comment was deserved here. Well said...and so very true.

Exactly. I was in last year of med school and remember the joy of being able to get 'local' articles via DandC....though I was hours away (that new fancy internet thing was cool). I found the twobillsdrive site and officially joined a few years later.

Screamin' out their words
To a world full of people
Just livin' to be heard
Future generations
Ridin' on the highways that we built

As a parent of a child with significant disabilities, I have a little extra 'love' for people like him. As was noted above, his time with this child is not a photo op. He walks with walk with his sister. From afar, he seems like a wonderful human being. Nothing but respect and well wishes.
It sounds as if his greatest achievements have been, and will always be, off the football field. Considering he's one of the athletes that surpasses the lottery odds and makes it to the professional level... that's no small compliment.

You get your B word ass back in the kitchen, and make me some pie!
First response in thread and absolutely hilarious.
Well done.

Rice. Came to play every practice, every down, and every game of his life.
I've always said he was the greatest football player I've ever watched. So, suffice it to say, I'll take him at WR. He broke records like Gretzky....there are no contemporaries for those guys.
