  1. I guess we’ve seen different studies. Face coverings prevent particles when speaking or coughing though it may not be 100%, it is more effective than doing nothing at all. Same thing with washing hands and sanitizing objects such as our phones. This is what they do in Asia and they have been more successful but obviously, they have more experience. Stay safe!
  2. I agree. I’m against the lockdown now that we’ve had enough time to build supplies and prepare hospitals. We as a city will be opening up slowly on the 19th.
  3. So if I understand correctly, Americans are responsible enough to make the right decisions with regards to their health and safety and covid 19 but these same Americans can’t figure out how to properly wear a mask?
  4. I don’t buy that you’re not being sarcastic.
  5. If you’re breathing into a mask or a scarf, how do you transmit the virus assuming you don’t touch your mask and touch an object?
  6. Then why is breaking 911 saying it based on a clip that doesn’t say it?
  7. Trudeau has not gotten involved in the management of this virus, it has been at the provincial level and it is recommended but not mandated. Why the sarcasm? You hide just as the lefties with multiple profiles and troll when I haven’t been disrespectful or trolled. I am not billsstime or Gary or tibs.
  8. Incorrect. A mask blocks you from possibly transmitting the virus when speaking with someone. Does it protect you? Probably not.
  9. Is there scientific evidence that me wearing a burka prevents me from transmitting my germs to you?
  10. Thanks for the reality check. The masks are again, to reduce the chance of a covid carrier who may not know it transmit it to someone else. Obviously washing your hands and covering your mouth are fantastic ways of doing this. Not sure what the problem is. What’s the slippery slope? Mandating people to wear a mask when walking into my business is to protect myself and other customers.
  11. Yes I’m not quite sure why everyone is against wearing masks.
  12. The video doesn’t say that. My mother made masks out of old clothes since she used to be a tailor. Once you’re done for the day, you throw it in the sink with some soap and you could rewear it. Of course those masks don’t help you as much as prevent you from spreading the virus to others which is what we should all be doing.
  13. 0.4. Our health minister says we have roughly 250,000 cases (based on the serology tests from other areas) and there are approximately 1300 deaths so that must be the death rate.
  14. Some of these governors really don’t want to be re-elected.
  15. I live in the downtown area of Montreal. Normally a Saturday night would be lively but it’s been death for 7 weeks.
  16. Wow that’s batshit insane.
  17. Pretty sure that bill is still ordering hookers by the truckload to help him get through this:
  18. Sugar coat what? You’re gloating because people are unemployed. Do you realize that this has happened everywhere in the world in the same manner?
  19. According to the article, before covid that area was booming. Sounds like an extremely poor, if not the poorest area. @Chef Jim thoughts ?
  20. Thanks for posting something completely new.
  21. Isn't Colorado run by a Democrat? We're opening up next week here. Pretty sure Quebec isn't run by a Republican.
  22. I thought he was pretty good last year.
  23. You should probably purell your hands when touching the mask. Even if you end up touching your mask with your contaminated hands by accident, you won't be spreading the virus through your breath. My mom is making masks from old clothes.
