  1. Buck and Aikman are the most relieved guys in the stadium that they won’t have to say “congratulations to the young Cleveland kicker who just won the game in his first NFL start!” “Right you are Joe, I think a game like this will give this young kicker a great confidence boost and I’m sure we’ll be seeing him again, even if we never hear his name”
  2. There should be a photoshop with “k*ckers” Yeah he will annoy the hell out of me if the Browns in 25-24. Although in Cleveland they’ll be saying “that’s my kicker!”
  3. It’s kind of funny how much Buck and Aikman are avoiding referring to the Cleveland kicker. Like tap dancing in a minefield 🤣
  4. That’s a nice one; Balvenie price point is tough to justify most times. Have become a fan of Glenfiddich 15 year solera. Just picked up a Kirkland 24 year expression. Might get into it if the Bills get to the AFC Championship again.
  5. That’s Europe for you. The American Christmas wartime tradition involves crossing frozen rivers in the dark to slit the enemy’s throats.
  6. I mean, it's not like the Butcher Cover or something, but would fetch 20-40 bucks now.
  7. Interesting album title. Paired with content, no way I don’t draw the connection to a great example of late 90’s pop/psych One other thing came to mind, from that era where some bands weren't really bands, just a producer and studio musicians. This one was Gary Usher who watched Brian Wilson in action and stole some ideas (and maybe some master tapes?). Glen Campbell and Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys touring ensemble and LA Wrecking Crew helps with the heavy lifting.
  8. Ah that's a derp. I suppose i forgot to drop a holiday tune so, owing to the obscure ex-Beatles songs jag...
  9. Buck Dharma is criminally underrated as a guitar god. But they did get to hang out with Patti Smyth (Allen Lanier more so than the rest) while she was in full Gilda Radner SNL mode.
  10. I’m positive I’ve heard this. Holy crap. But probably not since 1979 at Home Of The Hits and only because they were letting Mark Freeland pick the tunes or something like that. I can only think of one other track with Leatherette in the name.
  11. There was that Helmet vid up there, and their thing was prolonging the silences makes the noise noisier. Which naturally (??) led me to think of posting another track from London Calling with a similar pastiche. Odd you reference that very album a few posts on. and thinking about the album, they did a Vince Taylor cover but my favorite version of the song was this careening, barely held-together slopfest by Rory Storm and it’s absolutely glorious.
  12. sure I’ll jump in with some obscure John (Lennon, not Baldry)
  13. I didn’t see them call a timeout or see any ref acknowledge one before the snap
  14. A call like that at a critical moment makes you wonder
  15. Throwing into Triple coverage was a good read, Kurt?
  16. Hahahaha Brady Belichicks his tablet
  17. So who had “Brady penaltying his way to a comeback win” as their prediction? Edit: whoops. Brady with the pick and tries to pick a fight with the Saints coaches? B word
  18. Bodorquez with a DoG and then a shank punt. Clutch
  19. Too many ex-Panthers for the Panthers to overcome.
  20. I'll drop the flag, you make the tea.
  21. One the plus side, at least McDermott can't use a timeout on defense now.
  22. Don't discount finding an underutilized asset in FA like Boone was this year.
  23. That run is everything good and everything bad about Singletary. Great jump-cut, can't get to the edge.
  24. Obada vs John Miller proves that ex-Panthers >>> ex-Bills.
