  1. a late round draft choice beats out marques Sullivan for a roster spot? It doesn't say much for Sully.

And Kelsay is shown on the bills depth chart as the starting LDE? I certainly didn't think Kelsay did anything to dislodge Denney... and I didn't think Denney played poorly enough to lose his starting job.

  2. I'm also SHOCKED that Dorenbos is still on the team. And Simonton was cut...!

Actually, I'm not. I noticed Tasker and Levy were saying, during the telecast of the Lions game, that because of the injury situation, keeping a a guy that just long snaps might not be possible. The two of them sounded for sure like they thought Neufeld, because he could play TE, longsnap, and play H-back/FB would take Dorenbos' roster spot. Immediately, I said to myself Bullstevestojan!!! Dorenbos is an excellent LS and worthy of a roster spot... Neufeld is strictly backup... and if he were to become injured, you've got no-one. So, I never thought Dorenbos was in danger of losing his job.

Now, the Simonton thing is interesting... I thought for sure that Both Simonton and Shaud Williams would make the team... and Burns would be the odd man out. I also thought Shelton would be cut in favor of Lawton.... and I still think Lawton will come off the practice squad at some point this season and perhaps make Shelton expendable. I still don't know why Burns is still on the roster... I can't see any measurable or appreciable contribution this guy makes. Someone must see something.

  3. Let's assume the Bills don't go to the post season party... and finish, say 7-9.

Purely hypothetical... because the Bills could go 11-5 or 5-11. I tend to think they'll be closer to 5-11 than 11-5... but that's beside the point.

    So, we're assumin 7-9 here...

When Donahoe and Mularkey sit down with Ralph at his Florida mansion in January, what do you think will be, or, should be the outcome of that meeting?

How does this team move forward?

  4. Get a lawyer now and consult with him. You're in deep doo-doo if you've had your license for only a year and are under 25. If you get points for speeding, not only does it move you a little closer to suspension, but you will take a huge hit on your insurance cost over the next 3 years... perhaps as much as $500 per year.

An attoney will try to plea it down in lieu of you taking a safe driving course... or fight it by summining training records of the cop, calibration records of the radar gun, etc, etc. and dragging it out til it ultimately gets dismissed... in the end you may end up paying the lawyer $1500, but you avaoid the points on your license and increaded insurance fees. You have to weigh what is better for you.

  5. John... speak with an attorney... it might cost $75 for just a chat but you'll have clarity. Now, as I understand it, the completion date is in the contract and the contract is the instrument that spells out the terms and conditions of the construction. If the terms and agreements have been broken by either party then there are grounds for legal action.

You can also contact the Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, as well as contacting your State attorney General's office and file an official complaint.

good luck... it sounds like your on better legal footing than the pool contractor is.

  6. Right.... Bledsoe leads a 90 yd. opening drive against a banged up and lowly Lions defense in a meaningless preseason game and you think that this is going to be the rule rather than the exception?

Don't be fooled. At best, again, AT BEST, you could perhaps see the bledsoe of two years ago for the first 6 or seven games... until other teams figure out how they're protecting him and how the Bills offense works. All bledsoe has to do is hand the ball to TH and that would suffice.... but NO, he will revert back to himself and won't resist audibling on a 3rd and 2 and attempt a pass and get sacked instead of doing the right thing.

Drew is Drew... a very nice fellow, but no longer an NFL starting QB. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble. I know, sometimes the truth hurts... but together we'll get through it. We'll go through another dismal season... 7-9, maybe 8-8 with Drew under center... but next year with Drew either gone or carrying a clipboard we will rise to the top with JP.

  7. Fine, then the war in Iraq was justified because they have WMD.

    Ludicrous statement, no?

    CW

Dude... I don't know why you needed to go there, but the "on the record facts" are that pi$$ poor intelligence by several country's intelligence gathering. WMD alone was not the reason the US is in Iraq... obviously, several other countries were condeming Iraq for repeatedly violating the terms of the gulf war cease fire and the WMD inspections. Sanctions didn't work becausae pussies like Russia, France, and Germany all broke them under the table. To add to that Iraq's open sponsorship to the Palistinians terror ventures as well as their indirect alliance with Al queda. I'm pretty sure it was better to pre-empt a rogue state like Iraq before they handed off WMD stuff to al queda an d some of the others. There were some WMD's found... ilegal missiles, etc, but you write theose off for some reasons... just because we didn't find 2 tons of anthrax and 6 tons of enriched uranium doesn't make the missles any less of an offense. And what makes you think that WMD's were not moved into Syria or Iran in cars, carts, trucks, or in suitcases? would you bet your child's life on it that it didn't happen?

So back to the pipebomb thingy.... why would you say it is "ludicrous"? The kid is being charged with posession of WMD. Are you a lawyer? Do you think the prosecuting attorney is devoid of intelligence? Do you think he'd charge the kid with WMD because he though it was a goos idea?

Now, don't forget to give me your definition of WMD... How many lives have to be taken or threatened for a pipebomb to be considered a WMD?. Is there another reason for somone to possess a pipebomb other than to cause mass destruction? Hello?

  8. the only "CONSTANTS" in terms of the 1st team these first 3 preseason games have been...

    Bledsoe

    Campbell

    Teague

    Moulds

The other seven positions have had at least one different starter each game. So, if you're going to point fingers, you have to point at one (or all) of the above. I know whre I'd start, but you already know... so 'nuff' said.

  9. fezmid... whatever the law defines a WMD as, is a WMD... whether you, or anyone else likes it or not. How do you define what a WMD is? I'm pretty sure that if one of those pipe bombs went off during school hours it would cause mass destruction... glass, metal, electric, human life, injuries, structural damage. If a pipe bomb can't be considered a WMD, then I'd hate like hell to see a real one. It may not be on par with anthax, or a dirty bomb, but how mayn lives have to be taken for a pipebomb to be considered a WMD?

It's no different than some of the drug laws.... in Oregon you can possess up to an ounce of grass and you're not breaking the law. If you carry an ounce of grass in NYS it could be a felony.

So this kid with 15 pipe bombs deserves to be punished to the max... I don't care how old he is. Apparently, he has no conception of right and wrong. A person like that is extremely dangerous and I couldn't care less if they locked him up for life.

  10. So you're prepared to go into the season with Zolman as our starter?

Aside from Zolman having more mobility and better pocket presence, what's the difference in performance? I honestly don't think Zolman will cause the Bills record to be any worse than with Bledsoe at the controls.

At least Zolman led the offense to a TD.... Bledsoe hasn't done that yet.

  11. Guys,

THe NE Patriots, winner of the SB last year had much more significant

injuries and cuts to their starters before the season began and they did

    just fine.

This is the time the coaching staff gets its act together and schemes a

game with the players they have. If the coaching staff adjusts their

game plan to the personnel they have they will do fine. I have high

hopes on MM & his staff to just do that and move on.

True... but, I'm pretty damn sure... no, make that positive, the the Bills have no where near the coaching staff the PATs have. I mean, comparing a guy like Mularkey and his staff to that of a two time superbowl winning HC and staff just doesn't cut it. And Belicheck won two SBs as a DC as well...

You can cover a lot of ugly with a QB that has manueverability and a love for handing it off to the RB. Drew ain't got neither nor. Drew just doesn't have the temperment/mentality to manage a game.

  12. RJV... I've got news for you. I am the biggest "dump drew" chump on this board... only to be out down by spiked lemonade.

Let me tell you... I've watched all 3 preseason games... and there is nothing that impresses me about drew... at all. Here's a Qb that can go 25 for 25 for over 300 yards and his offense not score a single point. If you like that sort of thing... I can understand why you're impressed.

Let me remind everyone... just in case you may not know... Our Drew Bledsoe led offense is 0 touchdowns on 6 trips in the redzone. What's more scary... in what amounts to about 5 quarters of play, on a standard ffrom beyond the 50 yard line drive starts, Drew has only gotten this team in the redzone twice... the other times were drive starts inside opposition territory either via specail teams play or turnovers created by the defense.

If Travis Brown is out for a while, Milloy now gone, and drew has to QB this team... we're looking at perhaps 4 wins... when these injuries start coming, they keep coming... and it looks like it's our year for the injury bug... if we were to get one more injury along the front four on defense, we may as well pi$$ on the fire and call in the dogs... the hunt is over.

And lastly... about the offensive line... yes, it's banged up, but if this line had a QB that had just a little mobility or even a quicker mind and a little quicker to set up, it would give the o line tremendous help... there is no o line in existence that can protect drew... it's just too damn much to ask.

  13. This is more of an indictment on Donahoe that it is anyone else. Donahoe had to know what was going on, but still let Williams finish the season as HC. This is Donahoe's 4th year... and for Wilson to justify keeing this phony, the bills are going to need to make some serious noise this season. I don't see that happening... and if it doesn't, I think Donahoe ought to do the right thing and resign... don't force Ralph to fire his ass and have to eat a year of his salary while he does his BS analysis for his buddies at espn. Donahoe needs to be thrown in O'reilly's "no spin zone" and confronted with his performance as the Bills GM over tha past 3 plus years.

  14. Let's assume JP is out the full 12 weeks. That would, conservatively, put him back at full practice around November 15th. That means there are still 7 games left. And depending on the Bills record/situation going into the last 3 weeks, JP could get in some playing time.

If they put him on IR, he can't practice with the team at all. If they leave him active, at lest he can be in on all of the meetings, film sessions and working out to some extent.

Also, Zolman is destined for the practice squad... so why not waive him anyway, put him on the practice squad and go with Bledsoe, Travis, and Losman on the roster. This way, at least if Bledsoe or Brown went down, they could pull Zolman from the practice squad because no other team is going to sign him to their active roster.

So I say don't put JP on the IR...
