  1. Hey DeeRay why do you even bother posting then if the season is over.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!!!

What out... you just said you think the Bills will probably lose Sunday. You used your knowledge as a football fan to decipher facts and came up with a reasonable conclusion. However, since that conclusion wasn't the Bills winning, according to Kota, you can't be a true fan! Man, us fans are dropping like flies.

What team should we be fans of then? I think Cleveland is a good choice. Man, I wish i was still a Bills fan.

I know, I know... I shouldn't have mentioned those things about "Oh and four"... but, good buddies, I'm only the messenger... please, don't shoot me because the news is bad. If you do that, then you've just eliminated the potential for me to deliver good news to you at some point in time down the road.

  2. Possible 0-2??? I'd change that to highly probable.

Raiduhs put up 3 tds on Pitt, in Pitt. Jags... which have one of the poorest offenses in the league marched down the field on the Bills defense, on the road and in crunch time. So, perhaps the Bills "D" ain't what it's cracked up to be.

The combination of a bad QB which "hancuffs" the offense plus, what appears to be a suspect defense, is gonna do in the Bills in this week... and likely the two following games.

    Oh and two?

Me thinks we're looking more like Oh and four. And if that happens (losing 2 conference games plus two divisional games?). Game Over... piss on the fire and call in the dogs, the hunt is over

  3. schoebel gets sacks mostly on hustle... no team is scared of him... I've never known him to command a double team...

Kelsay... i don't know... but if you held a gun to my head, my take is ... I see Kelsay and Schoebel are close to the same thing... just play on opposite ends. I don't know of too many white DEs (and I'm not being racist here), but the good ones seem to be African-American

But the bottom line is... no way would I consider these two guys as a top 5 tandem. At best I'd grade them average. The Bills get no consistent sacks from either of these guys. I gauge an upper tier DE on the play of guys like Jason Taylor, Mike Strahan, Gregg Ellis, Dwight Freeney, Jevon Kearse... These guys are at the top of the scouting chart and usually the first thing brought up when their opposition game plans. No way either Schobel and Kelsay can be considered in that company... at least not yet. I think Sean Moran is comparable.

  4. why would it matter? Sometimes we complicate things way too much. What it comes down to is can the Bills boys in the trenches beat Oaklands Boys in the trenches on both sides of the line. The team that wins the battle at the line of scrimmage wins 85% of the time... the only other real variables are field position, special teams play and turnovers.

So if we break this game down to Oakland's O-line versus the Bills D-Line, I come up with advantage Oakland. And Bills O-Line vs. Oakland's D-line, I say advantage Oakland because of Sapp and Big Ted... two all pros vs. no all pros on the Bills Oline.

  5. Are you kidding me? Look your kid in the eye and tell him to be a man. So what if the teachers yell at the class. Tell him he should be bigger than that... to pay attention and just do what's expected. Oh my god.... let's be sure our children are totally comfortable all the time. God forbid they experience "tension" and "stress". Today's children are becoming a bunch of pussies and whimps... and mostly because of their kitty a$$ parents.

Is he really a rough and tough kid like you say? or is that just your perception and your myth? If he really is the rough and tough, then he should show it in situations like this.

A 30 year veteran teacher probably means that the teacher is in their early to mid fifties and grew up in a time when everything was earned, not hanned to you and a time when the parents were WWII era parents. So that teacher has probably had with the silver spoon fed, video game, tv watching, lazy, unmotivated, fat, medicated to the max kids of this generation... and rightfully so.

Call me insensitive and and idiot. I don't give a stevestojan. I'm right.

  6. This has got to be a 1st prize winner in the stupidest post ever sweepstakes.

If Brady wasn't there to get them in position to kick a FG Vinitieri wouldn't have the opportunity....blah, blah, blah. And if the queen a had balls she'd be king.

Pats just have better coaching and better players.... period. Our beloved Bills are recycling their trash at a way above market price for slugs... (Bledsoe/Milloy)

Folks have just got to give the Pats their due. With all of the injuries to frontline players they had to overcome last year to win the SB, I know my hat's off to them... even though I despise that team.

  7. At the very least, I would expect to see a parade of kickers visiting and being worked out by the bills in the coming (week). Lindell was never challenged this preseason.... and Mike Schafer...had no business even being signed to a FA contract. That guy flat out sucks... even the most die hard SU fan will tell you that. So, this tells me Donahoe was completely satisfied with Lindell. Donahoe talks a good line about competition for jobs when it serves his purpose well... ie. Bledsoe/Losman and Henry/McGahee... but what about Lindell? Where's Lindell's accountablity and competition? And while we're at it, Tom... where is your competition coming from... Modrak? How about bringing in someone that can take your job... preferably as soon as today.

  8. 1) Our #2 ranked defense is a myth. When the game was on the line they allowed a 75+ yard drive in their own house against a one of the NFL's poorest offenses. No pass raush to speak of... unless they blitzed DBs/backers. Jerry gray was a loser when he was an Oiler and he's still a loser. We need a proven and experienced DC.

    2) Bledsoe is not a difference maker... at least for the Bills. He is a difference maker for the opposition. Josh Reed could play QB and be just as ineffective. Show Bledsoe the door now and put the cap money savings to good use by getting a pass rusher (a real difference maker) and some decent O-lineman.

    3) This team has already dug itself a deep hole. When they lose next week against the Raiders they will be 0-2 going into the bye, then they will get dumped by the Pats and be 0-3.

    4) Forget the playoffs. 8-8 if you are an optimist, 4-12 if you're a pessimest, and 6-10 if you're a realist.

    5) We're all suckers... Believing that Donahoe is going to put together a winning team... he's just as much a myth as the defense and Bledsoe.

  9. Well, let me ask you this... would you put Dave Kingman in as your leadoff hitter?

You can't make a singles hitter out of someone that always swings for the fence.

Bledsoe might be OK for the first few games... but at some point he'll revert back to his old self. He'll take sacks and throw ints in the redzone... that's just his nature... after 11 seasons, mentally, he's an old dog... and they typically can't master new tricks.

  10. I can't believe you're asking this question. I thought you knew a little something about football. Am I right?

Toomer? Who's goin to throw to him? Faulk? Bad wheels and aging... not your Daddy's Marshall Faulk.

On the other hand... T Henry... going into his prime with a coach that supposedly wants to play smash mouth FB.... And Chad Johnson... with a QB better than he had las year? Again... what the hell is the question?

  11. So why is everyone's shorts in a knot? Whay Sully printed is a fairly accurate portrayal of Donahoe's "watch" as Bills GM in terms of his "on field" success.

I got news for you... Donahoe's mission was never to make this franchise a winner. Ralph clearly sees the WNY economic implosionand Donahoe's marching orders from Ralph were to... first "prepare this team for market" and then try to win games. He's done that job very well. He's sold the fans on the Bledsoe myth, hired cheap coaches so the new owner will look at it as a plus that he doesn't lose a ton of $$$ in firing the coaches, and kept the salary cap very manageable.

I'm sorry, Ralph, in his twighlight years, is more concerened at "righting" things financially than winning football games... he looks at it that he had his chance in the early 90's and things didn't work out, but it was a great ride... and now he must prepare this house for sale. I must say, the Bills are an attractive commodity for someone looking to buy in to the NFL... and the lease deal has enough wiggle room for a new owner in a good spot able to leverage relocation vs. a new lease deal. Remember... franchises that are on a winning run tend not to sell as well as those that are winning... The winning ones have a higher price tag and higher overhead.

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble going into a new season. I apologize if I offended anyone. I suppose you can call me "SullyII"

  12. Jason Gildon LB Oklahoma

    Keith McKenzie DE Ball State

    Ken Simonton RB Oregon State

    Jonathan Smith WR Georgia Tech

    Dominique Stevenson LB Tennessee

If these guys got cut who in the hell MADE the team???

    19896[/snapback]

Jay... what have any of these guys done for you lately? I was actually hoping Bledsoe was gonna get cut... but, in reality, I knew that Donahoe ain't that smart.
