  1. I see what you're doing here. You're trying to play your cute coy nieve games with us. Since you keep asking the same questions, why don't you tell us what you think? We've been clear in our positions

What I think is immaterial. I asked a simple question "Why does the Black Lives Matter group cause such a hissy fit on this board?"

I was hoping to get some factual answers. Instead I got unproven and largely unprovable accusations against the group. "They're Racist." "They're Exclusionary!" "I like the All Lives Matter slogan better!" "They have a secret Racist Agenda!" "You'd know this if you weren't following an idiot twitter account in lockstep!"

Those are some very compelling factual arguments. :wallbash:

BLM excludes non-blacks until such time that their agenda is fulfilled. See their website.

    So what is their agenda?

  2.

i will do this if you agree.

i will come to meet you at a location between us in which there is a black lives matter event being held. both you and i will stand up and make a speech about black lives matter and include that not only do black lives matter, but asian lives matter. that hispanic lives matter. that inuit lives matter. and that of course, white lives matter. and insist that everyone start cheering "we all matter"

during this speech i will stand behind you in order to not get shot.

honestly, do you think this would fly?

It's not an answer to the question I asked but I'm game if you are. The key is the tone used in the presentation of the subject matter, the idea that all lives matter equally I doubt that they'd be shooting if I wasn't accusing them of being exactly what they're fighting against, people who only believe that certain lives (manly defined by skin color) matter.

Thanks, but that's not a rant. Its the obvious truth as plain as the sunrise for anyone to see who is willing to logically look at a situation with a brain and not follow idiot group think on Twitter.

So I'll ask again, how do you know all of that? How many of their rallies have you attended? How many of their leaders have you personally interacted with? Or are you judging from afar? Perhaps following the smart group think on twitter?

    1. ALM is a common response to BLM.

    2. They exclude everyone who isn't black

    3. See #2.

    4. By not living alone on an atoll.

    1. So it's not a group, it's a slogan? How original...

    2. How do you know this?

    3. See #2

    4. So I'll ask you the same questions I asked the Kool-Aid Guy, how do you know all of that? How many of their rallies have you attended? How many of their leaders have you personally interacted with? Or are you judging from afar? Perhaps following the smart group think on twitter?

  3. You still would not under stand.

Seriously, the Black Lives Matter people are saying it to the exclusion of other people. They resent Alllivesmatter

I think I know why the Black Lives Matter group was formed. Why was the All Lives Matter group Formed?

Because in practice they're very exclusionary.

    Who do they exclude?

    Because they're racist?

    How are they racist?

They are backed and organized by race baiting militant regressive idealogy who only care about black people that are killed by white people or white Hispanic people. Its nothing more than political tool using people.

The thousands of black on Black murders don't matter, they don't count and are ignored. It doesn't further their agenda.

Nice rant, but how do you know all of this?

  4.

The problem with that is China would lose as much as we would should America fall. China and the US are definitely sparring behind the scenes, from the cyberwar that's ongoing to the build up in the South China Sea. But China doesn't want a full scale war with America, it'd be a disaster for them -- not only militarily (for now) but economically.

Any ideas what that was? I remember a bit about this incident, mainly Putin being "on vacation", but nothing else.

Best guess is a weapons test gone bad. The Russians cut the Torpedo Room (forward-most hull section) off of the ship using a diamond encrusted wire rope before allowing the rest of the sub to be refloated and hauled into port.

    Suffocation. Possibly hypothermia.

A particularly slow and horrible way to die.

I meant what was the secret Putin / Russia sacrificed the sailors for as alluded to in RI's post.

The weapon system they were testing.

  5.

It depends. If it's like Thresher or Scorpion, it's supposedly quick: when the sub passes crush depth and implodes, the pressure supposedly ignites the air in the sub instantaneously and kills everyone immediately. If, on the other hand, it's like the Kursk, it's a long, cold, lingering death.

In this case, probably the latter. And it's probably one of their dinky little special ops coastal subs. (NK's Submarine Force has been accurately described as "70 rusted out submersible rowboats.")

In reference to the bolded part, where did you hear that little pearl of wisdom? Even Dan Clancy couldn't sell that one.

In the thankfully rare times when an American Submarine sank Past Crush depth and imploded the crew was killed in seconds by the combination of drowning and sea pressure (44.4 PSI per each 100 ft of depth). The Submarine's atmosphere cannot ignite, explode, or whatever due to increased pressure.

The crew of the Kursk experienced an entirely different type of death, slow suffocation as their atmosphere went bad. The Russian Government sacrificed those men to a horrible fate in order to keep secret the true reason that Submarine sank.

  6. If it wasn't for the fact that Hogan was kept on the roster when everybody's favorite binky, Da'Rick Rodgers, was cut a large number of the Hogan Haters would be singing a different tune.

That statement in no way implies that I believe Hogan is worth the $$$ the Cheatriots threw at him.

But I do believe that a certain group of posters are still butt-hurt over the decision to keep Hogan and scrap Da'Rick Rodgers and that that group will forever downplay Hogan's contributions to the Bills Offense.

  7. I really don't understand all of the whining and teeth gnashing about the defense. If you take a look at the four losses it's obvious that with the notable exception of the Cheatriots game the offensive deficiencies were the major problem in those losses.

Against the Jags the offense put us in a huge hole that we couldn't quite climb out of despite a valiant effort.

Against the G-Men and the Bengals the offense, for various reasons, just didn't get the job done.

I know everyone was expecting the defense to be one of the best in the league but the season isn't over yet.

  8. I hate to admit but New England just might be the best football franchise ever. I can't think of team that has been this dominant for this long as them. I now they cheated but you still have to make the plays on the field and that they have done. 6 Superbowl appearances 4 wins, division champs almost every year for 15 yrs against a league built on parity is unprecedented .

I should have said the Brady years but have any of those teams won as much as the Pats over a 15 yr period, I think not.

I'm not that young I was around for Steelers, 9ers and Cowboys and they are better than them

The Cleveland Browns from 1946 to 1960 went 143-37-6 for a winning % of 79.4 and won 7 Championships in 9 playoff appearances. Your OP simply says Football Franchise it doesn't specify NFL Football so by YOUR original premise the AAFC years count. I have no doubt you'll claim that you meant NFL but it's too late now.

The Packers won 5 Championships in 7 years (including the first two Super Bowls)

The Steelers won 4 Super Bowls in 6 years

The Cowboys (and the Cheats) won 3 Super Bowls in 4 years

The 49ers won 5 Super Bowls in 14 years never losing a Super Bowl during that time.

The Cheats have won 4 Super Bowls (and lost 2 Super Bowls) in 15 years.

The Cheats are in the discussion for best ever but it's nowhere near as definitive as you claim.

I know you're a young'un but you should really look at the records of the 50's Browns, the 60's Packers, the 70's Steelers, the 80's San Fran 49'ers, and the 90's Cowboys before claiming that the Cheats are the "OMG Best Ever."

None of those teams needed to bend and twist the rules to dominate the NFL. They just went out and kicked azz.

And before you start spouting the Brady nonsense, look up Otto Graham, Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw, Montana/Young, and Aikman's accomplishments and remember those guys did it in an era when QB's didn't wear dresses and receivers could be defended against all over the field.

  10. were discussing a legal situation here, you act like those nits have no bearing on the outcome of the case and are just a distraction when its actually the core of what the judge is reviewing. it may be minutia in your moral judgement of brady but in evaluating the NFLs discipline system, roger goodell, and the final outcome of the case the decisions made regarding the "minutia" could be very important.

i feel like you completely side stepped my point that it would have been really easy for the NFL to send a letter to the goon squad and say "hey could you show up and talk to us" instead of simply chalking it up as "the nflpa didnt want them to speak so we are counting them as supporting our side" without even asking if they would come. you can pick at whether it would be goodell or pash that should send the letter, or that the nflpa didnt invite them.... but isnt it easier to just be able to say "yea the nfl probably shouldve done that" instead of going full on "firechan in support of johnny manziel" in how you discuss this? admitting that the nfl wasnt perfect isnt conceding that the whole thing was a sham.

Isn't the real question; Did the NFL have the authority to call the "Goon Squad" as witnesses? Or was it a case of that being entirely the NFLPA's decision?

  11. You invariably come on here and say stupid schit about other people, thus bringing on the name calling. Do you get some sort of pleasure by causing everyone to see that you are an asswhole or is it that you just like the abuse? Or is this one of the times that Mistress Jade is out of town?

As usual 3rdrate you've got everything upside down, inside out, and backwards. I read this forum for laughs and occasionally I interject a comment which completely derails an inane narrative.

That's when the name calling starts. It's a normal and expected PPP tactic. The Obama/Democrats/Liberals BAD, Bad, bad, and oh by the way, BAD! narrative espoused by the majority of posters here as the only valid and/or allowed political opinion is both naive and narrow-minded and when someone interjects an idea that doesn't fit the preconceived group-think circle jerk train of thought, that poster is attacked, derided, and belittled in an effort to either drive him away from this forum or force him to accept the group think as valid.

This forum is similar to an elementary school playground. The select group of "Cool Kids" attempt to control the narrative and quickly gang up on anyone who doesn't adhere to their naive philosophy. It makes this forum amazingly funny to read but boring to participate in.

I'll drive by again later and shoot holes in another silly 3rd grade narrative.

  12. You are such a miserable little assmudgeon that I find it hard to believe that you have ever had a civil conversation with anybody, let alone here. I bet your dog doesn't even like you.

Wow, I guess you got up on the wrong side of the trash heap today. What happened, did the mean wino down the alley steal your last piece of dry cardboard?

Check my earlier posts, you'll notice - if you get someone to read them to you - that as usual I wasn't the one that started the name-calling. But I guess it's your turn to have a go at me, so...

  13.

I understand that the concept of parallelization is above your pay grade, which is why simply calling you a (*^*&%^$^#works better.

Way to prove my point, Magoo.

Yeah you're just sayin'. Just sayin' you have no idea what we're talking about.

Yeah, like you do. Nice to see that your brain off while typing interlock is fully functional.

    Of course he doesn't, he's a dipshit.

    And proud of it.

Both? Then what did you mean by your "Greg who?" post?

Yes. And I meant exactly what I said. Common Chef it's only two words, you can figure it out if you try real hard.

    lol, idiot.

Also, I guess John Oliver's show can't be compared to Stewart's because usually HBO shows movies

Do you have any idea what you're talking about?

    No. Fox News is funnier.

    Okay, you got me there.

  14. The only thing you own, is the (*^*&%^$^#label.

    It's called drawing parallels, dipshit

Why yes, yes it is, which is why, intentionally or not, by virtue of your inane arguments you are saying that Fox News is functionally equal to the Comedy Channel.

It's either that or you're simply incapable of intelligent debate at any intelectual level above 2nd grade.

Which come to think of it, makes your screen name into an even more laughable oxy-moron than anyone realized.

  15.

When trying to stave off the (*^*&%^$^#label, posts like that one aren't going to help you very much.

Who's trying to stave off the (*^*&%^$^#label? Anyone with a functioning brain is considered to be a (*^*&%^$^#by the majority of PPP regulars.

What? Is Ice Road Truckers (History Channel) not a reality tv show just because it doesn't appear on TruTV (which specializes in reality tv)?

Greg Gutfeld actually does host a comedic propaganda show on Fox News. His show and Stewart's show are the same besides which side they're advocating for.

Are you really making that comparison? Really?

    Greg Who?

  16.

I guess this proves one thing.

    That you are a dipshit.

    Yeah, I'm a Dipshit. I'm the (*^*&%^$^#that owns you.

Thanks for the annual drive by affirmation that you're still an idiot.

No one is equating Fox News to Comedy Central. The discussion is about one show on Comedy Central, not the network. Tosh 2.0 also discusses current news events on his show on Comedy Central. Yet, he's not called into private meetings at the White House to discuss policy & strategy. I wonder why?

The majority of the arguments being thrown around seem to boil down to the idea that John Stewart is the left equivalent to all the talking heads (combined) who regularly appear on Fox News Opinion shows. That is only possible if the two networks (one a News network and the other a Comedy network) are functionally equal.

So the real question is; if the Daily Show is a political opinion outlet for the left does that make the Fox News opinion shows into comedy programing for the right?
