  1. Dan Reeves liking Buffalo option In this WIVB article the possibility of Dan Reeves reaching out to Chan Gailey is a very intriguing option. http://www.wivb.com/dpp/sports/bills...s-coach-search The Bills wound up with Gailey, who's got extensive experience in the NFL. He started in the NFL in Denver in 1985 under Dan Reeves, who grew up in Gailey's hometown of Americus, Georgia and coached him in little league baseball. News 4 Sports spoke with Dan Reeves Wednesday, and asked for his opinion on Chan Gailey. "Chan's gonna be sound. He's fundamentally sound, he's gonna do things that make them able to compete week in and week out. He's gonna be very well prepared. But I think also Chan is also on the cutting edge. He's gonna be one of those innovative guys who come up with things." Reeves, who coached in four Super Bowls and played in two others, has not coached since he was fired by the Atlanta Falcons after the 2003 season. But he would not rule out coming to Buffalo to work on Gailey's staff. "He hasn't reached out to me," Reeves said, "but I coached him in Little League and he might give me a chance. He might come back and try to see if I could help him out." We asked if Reeves would be open to working with Gailey in Buffalo. "I tell you, if I could help Chan Gailey out, I would certainly be interested in that."
  2. Quote: REPORTER: How interested were you in coaching in Buffalo? MARTY: Well, I wasn't certain, quite frankly, that I was interested in coaching, but Buddy Nix has been an associate of mine for a number of years. And Buddy in my opinion is one of the best personnel people I've ever been around. So, with that in mind, we had some discussions, but to suggest that I was ever a candidate would not be accurate... My discussions about it were really driven by the fact that I have such a high regard for Buddy Nix. REPORTER: Did Buddy reach out to you? MARTY: No. Buddy and I, having been together in San Diego for an extended period of time, are good friends, and, you know, we had some discussions about (my son) Brian Schottenheimer, and all. But, there was never a point in time that this was something that I was absolutely excited about doing, to be candid with you. Schottenheimer breifly discussed the report that Wilson was not interested in him. We asked him if it was true. "Not in my sense of it. No, I don't think so," Schottenheimer said. REPORTER: Were you disappointed at all that there didn't seem to be a massive level of interest from the Bills in bringing you in? MARTY: No, because I never considered myself a candidate. No, I didn't have any disappointment at all, because I was never a candidate in my view... My discussions, as they unfolded, were very preliminary and never got beyond that point. There was never any point in time in my opinion that I was committed to doing. Schottenheimer said that he was never certain he wanted to return to coaching. http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story...73757&catid=37
  3. can he be worse than Jauron, Williams, Mularkey? or worse than our OC? atleast he has a resume of success with offenses which i could not say about the OC in the last 5 years...
  4. "Don't fret Bills fans, Chan Gailey's resume speaks for itself"-Mike Florio http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/arti...aks-for-itself
  5. "I thought that he got a raw deal when Todd Haley fired him right before the beginning of the season. I'm guessing that the'r opposing philosophies clashed, and Todd wanted to run the offense the way he wanted to run it, so he fired Chan. With that said, Gailey was an awesome OC for the Chiefs last year, during the Herm regime. He made Tyler Thigpen look like a star QB, which he wasn't obviously. The guy knew we had a bunch of crap, and was still able to make it work. He changed our offense into a weird pistol offense, but we started doubling our offensive production, so the dude knows his crap. If you guys can get a good D coordinator, I think your offense will be good. I liked Chan a lot." What exactly is a pistol offense?
  6. Keep this date in your calendars. This was heard on a radio station and as part of a certain Thurman Thomas weekly show, that the Buffalo Bills have big time news on 1/15/2010 that will impress the fans and be shocking. Thurman would not go into the news on the radio, but I am guessing that perhaps this is tied to Coach Sal's report of Cowher being interested in the Bills. Maybe this is the date that they are targeting as the signing and turning around of the Buffalo Bills Franchise or the Ownership status and a heir taking over and keeping the team in buffalo.
  7. As per Rotoworld.com Bills signed QB Brian Brohm off the Packers' practice squad. Brohm is unlikely to make a difference in Buffalo, but he's a worthwhile late-season pickup with the Bills going nowhere. The 2008 second-round pick lacked confidence throughout his 1 1/2-year stay in Green Bay. He has NFL-caliber tools, but probably needs a miracle-working position coach to fix his mindset. Brohm will finish out 2009 as Buffalo's No. 4 quarterback. Is he worth mentioning and possible backup QB next year?
  8. Quote: as it was discussed this morning on J.T. the Brick’s radio show that there are rumors in Buffalo that Mike Holmgren could receive total control of the Bills if he decided to take over the Bills. http://hardknoxsports.com/nfl/buffal...olmgren-bills/ He is not my top pick but how can it not be an upgrade over Skeletor. Holmgren has proved he could win, which is another bonus
  9. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/7/30/...ses-clark-judge Could this Kid be the LT by the 4 or 5 game point? I think so and moving Walker to the right side would make our line much much stronger
  10. http://eod.liquidviewer.com/wgr-od/w...26_seltzer.wma a smart player with lack of run stopping but solid pass rusher
  11. As per realgm.com for 5 years...another suitor for Willis falls through
  12. Rotoworld reporting that the BILLS are possible suitors for Steinbach i fhe doesn't sign with the BENGALS. He would be a great acquisition. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...NFL&id=2516
  13. NO we would go to Pittsburgh or Detroit to watch games. BUFFALO thrives of CANADIAN fans which fill half the stadium. SO AGAIN without us, you would have no team and therefore the city of BUffalo would be nothing but a boring HOLE.
  14. WITHOUT the Toronto or canadian fans, your team would have dissapeared from Buffalo a long time ago. YOU should be thanking us not dissing us.
  15. DB James Bethea DE Josh Cooper WR Chris Denney OL Aaron Gibson QB Kliff Kingsbury S Rob Lee WR Martin Nance K Nick Setta OL Dylan McFarland was waived-injured.
  16. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2002/profiles/royal_robert.htm With this scouting report he sounds very solid and possibly we have a diamond in the rough...
  17. Matt Schoebel signs with the EAGLES and Will Shields resigns with KC..
  18. I GUESS we will see if my source is ACCURATE...again i don't know if he will sign but he was spotted in town.
  19. A friend of mine who works at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport who is a huge BILLS fan called me and informed me that Pickett has arrived and is being accompanied by MODRAK..... I am hoping for an announcement in the next few hours.. TAKE CARE!!!
