Sep 24 Mark Craig, of the Star Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings RB Mewelde Moore is not a big fan of his former college teammate at Tulane, Buffalo Bills QB J.P. Losman. "I just didn't like the way he played ball the last two years at Tulane," Moore said. "You are what you are. He's a great player, and he'll be a great player once he plays total team ball and sells out for the team and not for himself." Moore indicated that Losman's selfishness affected Tulane's effectiveness as a team. "I wish the best to him. I just don't have any interest in playing with him," added Moore.

    Sour Grapes or Katrina fallout?

WTF? Who caaares? A no name taking shots at a former college team mate who is starting at QB in the NFL. Was he selfish or was he just sick of running for his life behind his crappy O-line in Tulane?

  2. Little out a thread here, but is anybaody ponying up for Center Ice? I was all set to, but they pissed me off when they didn't lower the price at all. I mean ticket prices at most arens have been lowered, they are worried about the effect the strike will have fan interest, and then they do not lower the price one centilla from where it was pre lockout?

I will admit that I have no idea the costs involved from a D* or cable standpoint, but my gut tells me there was some chop in there for the NHL, even if was only $5 per subsriber. Christ, at least give us that $5.00

Its 32.50/4 payments (or something like that) right now instead of 39.99/4 payments (regular cost). HOCKEY'S BACK!!!

  3. I looked over @ sfbabb.org (San Francisco Bay Area Bills Backers) and noticed they had a spot not that far away.  I'm just wondering if those types of setups are open to anyone coming down, or do you have to be "in".  Going to be up there just saturday to sunday and was looking for somewhere to peek in and check out the game and have some beers before heading to the airport.

I bet its much easier to find a Pats bar, aka Brady Lover's Bar, in San Francisco then a Bills bar....just a guess though....

  4. In an effort to simplify the playbook, the Bills took all play action passes in Sunday's game against Tampa. "We really felt as if JP was thinking too much about play action passing, so we just took it out of the playbook. We have no problem with letting JP take chances, throw into triple coverage, or running out of the endzone. As long as he's not confused" Commented Bills Coach Mike Mularkey.

  5. P.P.S.  As I said before, Cowboys fans are feeling a lot better about their QB's play tonight than most of us felt about JP's play yesterday.  I was expecting JP to step up rather than lay the egg that he did.  I just hope that he can get it back on track next week and be able to complete some passes when the Falcons' D is crowding the box to stop Willis.

If Drew was in for QB, Buffalo would have done WORSE sunday. At least 5 sacks and 2 INTs. Teams can confuse JP, and guess what, he's gonna grow out of that. But the book is clear on Bledsoe, let him zero in on one target and make him make poor throws. Its been that way for the last 6 years. As Bills fans, even after this last performace, we can say that "JP will be fine". Find me the Cowboys fans that'll say that about Drew, and well, let me laugh at them.

  6. #1. Only 13 touches for Willis. Huh?? He averaged a little under 3 YPC, which isn't bad against a tough defense. Buffalo needs to be a POWER running team. even if they play 8 in the box

#2. No big plays by either special teams, Defense, or Offense. One big play early in this game changes the entire 2nd half.

#3. No pass rush. Griese was rarely rushed. 1 sack in the 1st quarter?

    #4. 3rd down conversions. 7-28 so far this season. 7-28!! 25%

#5. Ball control. Buffalo lost the ball control war,

  7. That being said, I think Buffalo's offense does have a HUGE test here. And I think its gonna be a close game. That being said, no one on the Bucs offense scares me. Houston has a much better offense than the Bucs, and they couldn't move the ball. The Bucs have a QB that is prone to bad throws against a turnover machine secondary, a RB who had 71 yards against a bad rush defense until he broke a long one laaate in the 4th quarter, and a #1 receiver who hasn't had more than 1000 yards in 7 years. If Buffalo can keep Clayton from being a big factor in this game, I think 14 points will be enough to seal the deal. As long as Buffalo plays a good, steady ball control style game, I see no reason why Buffalo will lose this game. IMHO, if Buffalo loses this game, it'll be Buffalo beating themselves (i.e. JP making bad throws against a good d)

  8. I thought we were playing the Buccaneers?

BTW, if we lose to the Bucs I think momentum comes to a screaching halt and they'll stand a good chance of losing to the Falcons. They're a better team than us right now. Atlanta's a proven established team, we aren't.

They had what, 11 wins in the NFC last year? They played a good game last night, and Buffalo certainly isn't going to overlook them. If Buffalo can force vick to throw the ball, they aren't going to overwhelm the Buffalo D. That being said, lets take care of Tampa first.

  9. In two words: Who Cares?

I don't give a damn what the national media thinks about Buffalo. Unless we start 5-0, the media won't give buffalo any attention until we play NE, and then it'll be mostly 'brady always torches buffalo's d'. Buffalo was impressive in victory yesterday, and should be trying to work on their red zone production and figure out how to move the ball against a stout tampa D and how to quiet an efficent Tampa running attack.

  10. #1. Losman came out firing. By my estimation he made one mistake and two bad throws (overthrows), but I think both of those were in the redzone and he probably was a little to hopped up.

#2. McGahee looked good in limited touches. I would really like to see Buffalo run more and grind out a win. But I like the fact that they can pass if need to.

#3. The Defense. They absolutley dominated that game. The only drive that got down the field was on two questionable calls, and when you look at pictures it looks like Carr was OOB on the play.

There were two things that I didn't like, and both of them were OFF the field. First was the dirtbag two rows up who cheered when #24 for the Texans was down with an injury. He definatly appeared to be a 'trailer trash' dweller. Second were the !@#$s who decided in the 3rd quarter down the row from me to light up a cigarette. If you can't wait till between quarters to smoke, don't come to the games. Also, I love the bills and their fans, but my friend, a Texans fan,

Sorry I couldn't make it to the tailgate, I forgot to print up directions to Hammer's lot and I don't know the area all that well. Next year!

  11. I have NFL Sunday ticket. I will gladly share the beauty of every bills game (sans this week, as I am GOING to the game :doh::doh: , and next week, as I am in a wedding ). That being said, I will gladly open my apartment to fellow bills fans who want to watch the game. I only ask that you contact me before the game and let me know how many are coming, respect my belongings, and don't trash the place. Drop me a PM if you are interested!

  12. It must be great to be a New England Patriot knowing that the refs will always give you an extra first down or save a touchdown with some horrendous flag out of nowhere.  How many penalties were on Oakland in the second half?  How many of them looked like total made up BS?

All Assante Samuels has to do is give 'em the "what did I do?" look and the PI flag goes on Moss.

My personal favorite was Harrison trying to remove the head of a Raiders kick returner....and the Raiders getting called for holding. Then later, a Raider puts the EXACT same tackle on a NE Player....15 yard penalty. That being said, the most encouraging sign I saw was the NE Attitude. The 'we are better than you' junk that you just didn't see from the Pats the last few seasons. I think success has finally gone to the Pats heads this year, and they will miss the playoffs because of it.

Man's legs broken in garbage truck

    By William A. Weathers

    Cincinnati Enquirer staff writer

OVER-THE-RHINE – A 47-year-old West End man had his legs broken early this morning when he was crushed with trash inside a garbage truck.

Darryl Bennett, of the 900 block of West Ninth Street, had apparently been inside a large trash container when it was emptied into the garbage truck.

The incident occurred about 1:50 a.m. in the rear parking lot of the Bracken Village apartments in the 1300 block of Walnut Street, police said.

“I was watching TV. I heard someone hollering,” said Janice White, who lives nearby. “I heard a man my hollering, ‘My leg is broke.’’’

When White looked outside her window, she saw a man crawling up through the trash in the back of the garbage truck.

“He (the truck driver) was getting ready to dump another load,” White said.

Police said the driver for CSI Waste Services of Greater Cincinnati had arrived to empty trash containers at the apartment parking lot. The driver had emptied the first one in the rear of the truck and the trash had been automatically compacted.

As the driver was preparing to empty a second container, police said, he heard someone yelling “Turn it off.” The driver got out of the truck and found a man crawling on top of the truck, and called 911.

When officers arrived they found Bennett, who was apparently intoxicated, suffering from leg injuries. He was taken to University Hospital, where he was in fair condition this morning.

If I had to chose between passing out in Ohio and a garbage container, it'd be a toss up. That being said, passing out in a garbage container IN ohio, i'd just kill myself. Unless of course, the borders to Ohio were closed and they only thing they were letting out were garbage containers....then i'd be oscar the grouch and live in the damn thing.

  14. Filling the stadium if it was in Buffalo would be hard enough. Most fans have NFL games planned months in advance. It would be hard to get the fans to drive up. What they should do is the NFL should get together with the airlines and provide a reduced rate airfare/hotel for all N.O. Saints ticket holders who have since been relocated to all the home games that are now away. Perhaps even a chartered plan or two from major relocation areas.
