1. OH drivers test - 100%

    GMAC drivers test - 100%

This can't be right. After residing in Ohio for 5 years, its quite obvious Ohio doesn't give drivers test, rather their DMV is nothing more than a glorified picture booths that spit out licenses to every yokel with $25.

  2. I always thought it would end with either Dr. Melphi killing Tony or Tony being driven out of the life (i.e. one of his kids getting killed), and the finale would be him getting ending his mobster career with a rampage.

  3. The call that has me up in arms is the no call when the Patriot player broke through the line on an obvious spike and pushed down Rivers. That and the personal foul call against the Chargers for a San Diego player trying to get the dirty patriots of his teammate.

The refs might as well wear Patriots uniforms. When Schottenheimer wants to call a TO, no one is near him, when Bellicheck wants to call one, the Refs are standing next to him waiting. This isn't anything new.

  4. It's difficult to comprehend a place worse then Toledo, Ohio. Traffic wise I'm sure many places exist. But what place actually has a merging lane for the merging lane before you merge onto the freeway? We also have 5 MPH reduced speed on about 75% of the roads and freeways (compared to Michigan). Old people and the ghetto children turn that into about a 15mph reduction. Marijuana turns that into about a 20mph reduction because everybody in this city is high.

Am I approaching complete insanity yet?

Living in Livonia I'm suprised you didn't mention the summer of fun that was to be had in your area with contruction on I-696 and on M14.

  5. yeah, they just cancelled Lucky Louie. My favorite show is Deadwood. The Sheild is great stuff.

Lucky Louie had its moments, it just seemed a bit forced. It was basically a cookie cutter sitcom with profanities. Though, Patton Oswald's joke at the kids party was hilarious(why did the chicken cross the basketball court? he heard the ref was blowing fouls).

    Best shows on TV:

    The Office

    Arrested Development (sniff)

  6. C.  It is far easier to find a job (or better) job when you are employed, rather than finding a job when unemployed.  The stress and pressure are factors different.  Get the degree!

BTW, isn't Google moving part of its headquarters to MI?

    750845

To Ann Arbor, MI, to be exact. Ann Arbor is a small city thats growing, but the greater Detroit area is dying a slow painful death.

As far as my degree goes, I could finish it within a year if i went back to the school i did the 5 years at, probably 2 years away anywhere else.

FWIW, the school i went to= anal retentive christian school, no booze, no gambling, and no fun in general. I'm pretty sure my failure at this place is directly related to the killing of one of my major food groups, booze.

  7. For all you people who have been around awhile:

I currently hate my job. Its phone tech support in a call center, supporting recycling yards and software which is not used anywhere else outside of this company. It pays well for me, I have no college degree (i went to school for engineering for 5 years and never graduated), no certifications, but have 4 years tech support experience under my belt. Its basically a dead end job with no real room for upward mobility. I live in Ann Arbor MI and have really no reason to stay in this area, except for one good friend who lives 30 minutes away. In case you haven't been paying attention, the greater Detroit area is going downhill fast. I'm 24 years old and would like to get a degree eventually. I may have an oppurtunity to work for a company who was named "best IT company to work for " (Quicken Loans), but its in Livonia, MI, basically keeping me in the same area which is going to the crapper quick.

    Should I

    A) Pursue a better job with my current experience in the same area

    B) Pursue a better job with my current experience in a better area/growing market?

    C) Keep my current job, get some certifications/a degree, then go after an even better job in a better market?

  8. Your turn 3bet in the AT hand is pretty bad against a passive player.

The other stuff is standard - I destroy 3/6 but can't even run mediocre @5/10 to save my life.  See my BBV post on the board that shall remain nameless

    735256

The A8s hand you me? The BB was a LAG if i remember right. The passive player called 2 bets cold and THEN capped me after i 3 bet.

  9. A classic bad beat was the one Aaron Kanter dealt Raymer at last years WSOP.  Raymer went all in on KK on the flop and Kanter called with 3 hearts.  Kanter caught runner runner heart for a flush.  Talk about a suckout!

    735214

It was on the turn after Kanter check raised him and Raymer came over the top for all his chips. I don't remember the counts, but it was a call that Kanter shouldn't have made.

  10. It blows mostly because he played his hand so terribly....if you call he's way behind and drawing to 2 outs or in this case runner runner....if you fold he was way ahead and had you drawing to 2 outs.....gotta love 1/2 donkeys.

    735138

Oh the stories I have for everyone.

The WORST bad beat i've ever put on a guy was playing 5/10 Limit.

Very loose player limps in front of me, I raise to isolate him with A8s. One blind calls.

Flop comes 58T. Checked to me, i bet, two callers. Turn is another 8. Checked to me, I bet, BB check -raises, loose limper calls, I 3 bet, BB folds, suddenly loose limper caps me. He's a passive player, so I figure he AT least has an 8, maybe even a boat. Or he's just a dumbass (you'll find this alot with Online. Not seeing a player face to face encourages some of the dumbest crap you'll ever see). River is the last 8. He bets, i raise, he calls.

Tables T T. I either had to catch running aces or 8s to beat him. Of course, he raises his TT preflop... I never see the flop.

    Some hands from yesterday:

Hand #1. Shorthanded table. One horrible player limps, SB completes, i check in the BB with Q4s. Flop comes Q4A. I lead out with it, horrible donkey raises, SB folds, I reraise. Donkey calls. Turns a K. I bet, he calls. Rivers a T. I bet, he raises, i call. Donkey shows quite possibly the worst played J5 of all time.

Hand #2. Folded to me in the CO (the seat right before the button, the cutoff), i raise with KK. SB folds, BB calls (a good player). Flop comes Q33. I bet, he instacheckraises. Poker lesson time. I'm rather sure he doesn't have a 3. I have position. And I'm playing a limit game. Rather than pop him here for 3 bets, he's going to lead into me again on the turn when the bet size doubles. Turn is a blank card. He leads into me. He bets, I raise, he calls. River, of course, is a Q. I'm 80% sure I'm beat, but I make the a call here (there's 9 big bets in the pot, so I only need to be right 11% of the time for this call to be right). Hurrah 2 outers.

For those of you who have never dumped a grand or so in one night thanks to an endless string of these damn things, let me tell you, its not fun.

  11. good. this city has done enough damage to itself, it doesn't need a casino to help.

    735073

Ding. I'm all for Casinos in Atlantic City, Vegas, and on various indian casinos. But when does a struggling city need a regressive tax on the poor and a to choke the life out of the remaining small buisnesses.
