Fairly certain the army of doctors that examined and cleared Hamlin are in a better place to look out for his best interest than fans are. Hamlin's also an adult capable of making his own decisions.

People's hearts may be in the right place, but they shouldn't mistake what makes them personally feel more comfortable -- not having to see a player on the field who reminds them of the danger of the game of football -- with what's best for the player.

You’re right of course. The fact that he also sucks at football fuels that general sentiment. I’d be shocked if he’s on the final roster this season.

The only way that Beane really looks smart here is if Worthy, Pesrsall, Legette, and Coleman are all equally good. Even if Coleman is the only good one, it was dumb to let 5 additional picks take place before the Bills took him.

Not sure about all this, buddy. Veach took Hardman instead of Metcalf and Sky Moore instead of Pickens. He traded down in the latter too. No one says he looks dumb with those moves.

Bills have speed guys on the roster so Coleman fits what they want to do. If the speedsters don’t work out I believe they’ll address it next offseason.

…if this was already mentioned I apologize.  Rumor is that the Pats*** were targeting either Coleman or Legette and had a deal “construct” in place with Buffalo before Beane dealt with Carolina instead, therefore taking away both of the Pats*** targets.  They then moved back further from #34.

    I love it.

Is this because the Pats are such a dangerous team so Beane didn’t want to give them more weapons?

They drafted one guy with all those picks. You tell me! 😉

Going into the draft, did you think we were one 2nd round WR + some 1 year FA signings away from being all set?

I think they'll be ok, but they're still behind where they were in past years.

Coleman is not a speedster but will probably be a good pro so it’s a solid pick. The team is counting on one of the speed guys on the roster to emerge. If that doesn’t happen this season they’ll address it next offseason is my guess.

Your "truth" has been coming into this forum, from day one, pretty obviously trolling. It's pretty easy to tell Bills fans(even the ones who have concerns/complain a lot) vs fans of other teams that come in here to troll.

I see you’re unable to pivot from this juvenile direction so I’ll let you be. I must say I am extremely flattered that you’ve noticed me ‘from day one’. Wow.

    Have a great day!

And you aren't really a Bills fan, but most likely a Chiefs fan or some other team, posing as a Bills fan over here. It's been obvious since day 1.

This again? In your world all Bills fans must think they’re the best always. Guess when you hear things you don’t like you lash out.

I have to disagree Mr. Walnuts. The Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl with a bunch of hockey pucks playing receiver. Kelce even had a bit of a down year. They beat the 49ers, who are loaded at receiver. They also defeated the Ravens who have two very good receivers and a solid TE. The Ravens lost because they tried to out pass the Chiefs instead of just being the best rushing team in the AFC. The Bills, seeing KC’s success are emulating the approach. What team with a twenty five million dollar receiver has won it all? The answer is none. A variety of targets schemed in the right way, with a good running attack is enough when JA17 is Quarterback. Hell I can’t wait to see our younger jumped up defense fly around. These are some exciting times mates!

Bills had a group of receivers that included Diggs and Davis. I’d say that’s better than hockey pucks. We’ve been to the AFCCG once just to get blown out. Now they’re gone and replaced with unproven talents but it’s enough now?

Kincaid and Coleman need to develop into top pass catchers. Also need one of the fast receivers on the roster to consistently stretch the field to clear out the middle. I don’t believe the Bills can win a superbowl without major contributors from the wr position. It’s not the same situation as KC.

Cmon man..... The team started to find cohesiveness in the second half of the season. Josh. Shakir and Kincaid.  .... There's more focus and continuity growing with out (although I loved him like everybody) Diggs distraction. .......   Now the staff just get to put the puzzle pieces on the field without a super ego say WTF? ..... I hope I'm right. ..... It's got to make things a bit easier for the coaches and Josh to focus on what should be done rather than who should do it. .... This is true.

I agree with all of this. I just think we need more proven receivers.

Can't help but wonder if Josh will be more efficient without Diggs demanding targets. Just dropping back and reading what's available. .... Nobody questioning who's the boss on the field. ........ If Josh is as good as I think he is, he'll flourish doing what he sees in Brady's offense.

And if he doesn’t and the offense stalls it’s because ‘no receivers’.

You think Diggs or Hill could put up top 10 stats wit ha guy like say Zack Wilson or Mac Jones at QB?  Think there'd be a pretty big drop off.

That’s not what I said. If a receiver can consistently get open but the qb can’t get them the ball it doesn’t mean the receiver is bad. Think Zack Wilson with Garrett Wilson. With a marginal qb those open opportunities would be completed. Think Dhop with Hopkins or Kyler Murray.

What you said about all Allen needed was Diggs to get open and he’d get him the ball is just competent qb work is my point. Elite QBs would elevate a receiver. I.E. throw his guy open. Or make an accurate throw even if he’s cover where only the receiver has a chance at it. Those things make marginal receivers seem elite while the former make marginal QBs seem elite. That was the distinction I was making.

Again not saying Allen doesn’t do that. I was just making a distinction from your receivers getting open comment because it’s the offseason and I’m bored.

I think have a top QB like Allen can make a WR who isn't considered top 10 look like he's all Pro.  For those reasons I'm not as worried about the WR group as many here.

Recall what supposedly told Diggs when he first got here, just get open and catch the ball, I don't care about anything else.  Can see that being the case this year again too.  Now admittedly with a rookie , the knowing how to get open at the NFL level can be a bit tougher than he may think, may take some time whomever it was.

Not that I don’t agree but isn’t a receiver that can consistently ‘get open’ be top 10 regardless of who the qb is?

I'll keep repeating this point until it sinks in - The Chiefs offense was shut out in the 2nd half of the AFCCG and the 1st half of the Super Bowl. This is not something for the Bills to aspire to. We don't have the defensive coaching or personnel to turn that kind of offensive production into a Super Bowl win.

Yet they won. But you’re right. They had a great defense that carried them through offensive lulls this past season. What about the Superbowl they won the year before when their defense gave up 35 points in that game? KC’s best attribute is doing just enough to get the job done. Whether it’s offense, defense, ST. It’s a team game afterall. Now that’s an aspiration the Bills can get on board with imo.

Some of you aren’t understanding this…the players I listed for those teams are those who were their biggest contributors at the WR, TE, and RB positions.  Those groups as a whole are not demonstrably stronger than what the Bills have — in my opinion.

KC added Worthy.  Good for them.

I think the Bills have plenty to compete for a championship.

I think you’re missing the point of what a great qb can do to elevate his weapons. So on paper KC’s weapons have been meh the last two years but they’ve won it all due in large to their qb.

Same can be said of Allen and this current Bills group.

Yes but I’m talking about when they finally don’t make it to the AFCCG or superbowl- like a round 1 or 2 playoff exit. It’s crazy to think that they’ve been able to make it that far for that long. It will be interesting to see how they respond when they look mortal.

…may it be sooner than later.

I see. Yeah you’re right. It’s insane that the their floor with Mahomes is the AFCCG.

they’re going to eventually be unable to sustain this level of success - be it the Bills or someone else taking them down when it matters, he’ll have to face the music. The first time it happens he will probably be, understandably, upset. But if it’s Josh - he will probably at least respect it.

Now that he has 3 rings he’s guaranteed HOF first ballot. At this point anything else is just icing on his cake… let’s just hope he’s got diabetes or something from now on 😂

You do know KC has lost big games with Mahomes right? 2018 AFCCG, 2020 Superbowl, 2021 AFCCG. I know it feels like he wins every year but they have been taking down before.
