As mentioned in another thread: IT'S NOT A COACHING PROBLEM, IT'S A TALENT PROBLEM

Honestly, it’s BOTH lack of talent AND average coaching. As has been noted many times, a HS coach could get the Bills to the playoffs with JA17 at QB.

Dorsey may not have been a great offensive coordinator but he was excellent at running the jugs machine.

I was fooling around on the google machine earlier this week and saw that when Dorsey was a QB at the University of Miami, he set all kinds of school records, and his W-L record over 4 years was 38-2! They won one national championship and came close to a second, but were beat by Ohio State. I did not know all of the latter til this week.

  2. Watched it, and it was definitely a nice editing job, and nicely done.

It doesn’t really get in to offering any reasons why Allen (really should be focusing on McDummy more) can't get over the hump, and get to the SB.

In here, the posters have offered up many reasons why this is so, while this video just sort of intimates that because of some magic spell Mahomes has, he always beats Allen.

No.  This year we just got beat.  Even if we make that FG, I think the odds of us winning are <50%.  (KC had plenty of time to score in regulation & if it reached OT, it's a toss up.)  Making things worse, we demonstrated little ability in stopping them.

As for 13 seconds - we lost cuz we crapped the bed.  We gave the game away, which really hurts.

I think the point he was making was that he thought (as I did) that the Bills were going to keep winding the clock down, and get a TD there, NOT a FG, and leave KC just seconds on the clock, with no timeouts left for them, were they'd have to get the kickoff and go get a TD to win it.

  4. Just rewatching the 4th qtr. of this game....I know, I know, I'm a masochist. LOL

    - Absolutely NO replays were shown of the Bills fake punt. WTH?

    - Shakir *could* have caught that long rainbow bomb on 3rd and 12 with 10:50 left, but that would have been a spectacular diving catch

    - Bills' Defense did step up and play well on the next drive, just before the Bills' O got the ball for the last time

    - Now that I now what Seven Nation Army is, I see that CBS played it as they went to commercial with 8:23 left. LOL

    - It looks like Diggs DID see the long bomb in plenty of time, and just plain did not catch it

    - KC DB Reed went helmet to helmet with a pretty vicious hit on Diggs on an incompletion. Could have easily been called a PF, but wasn’t

    - Bills were VERY lucky to retain possession when JA fumbled on a 3rd down run with 5:35 left

1st down at the 27 with 3:00 left and clock ticking

    - Run with Cook up the middle...got 1 yard

    2:00 warning

    - Pass into the EZ for Shakir on 2nd down....Incomplete. I know what was said all last week about Chris Jones pushing Dawkins into JA, but honestly, Dawkins barely touches JA; does not look that minimal contact affected the throw at all. Curious, did JA ever address that throw in his post game presser?

    - Pass thrown OOB on the right side on 3rd down as coverage was very good and JA rolled to the right side. His best option was across the field on the left side, but he didn’t look that way

    - Missed FG by Bass

    - Pacheco runs 2x and gets a 1st down; game over

It totally SUCKS that the Bills were right there, but couldn't continue the drive to get the TD.

Why not just ask the bank to write a cashier's check? That's as good as cash for purchasing a vehicle or paying closing fees on a house, and it's a lot safer than having sixteen grand in your pocket.

The seller wanted cash, and also, there have been cases of fake cashiers checks too…Google it. Now, I suppose if we had met at a BofA branch, they could have verified it, but we met at an IHOP in Athens, GA, and I had traveled up there from FL (in car with wife/I drove new bike home).

    Won’t be watching the game

I am right there with you.

    Reasons:

    I don’t care who wins.

NFL officiating is terrible, and it may affect the outcome.

I can go online anytime after the game to see the commercials.

My normal bedtime is 9:30pm (get up at 5:20am). Staying up for all those late Bills games this past season was very challenging. LOL

I am ssssooooo sick of seeing KC, and especially sick of the attention that is given to one certain KC player & his girlfriend.

After a certain point in the season (after the Bills are knocked out), the NFL is nauseating.

This does make me think about how easy it would be for a GM to take kick backs. I’ll overpay you $5M if $1M makes it into this offshore numbered account. I’m sure there are quite a few agents happy to do that for a cut.

Banks are ripe. If you walk in, hand a note to a teller and take $2k out you’re almost 100% screwed. Bank robbers almost always get caught. Next to a post office they’re the dumbest thing to rob. But if you are an employee who embezzles hundreds of thousands of dollars, they’ll fire you and sweep it under the rug. No jail time because the bank will want to keep it out of the news because that will be a problem for their reputation and stock price.

Most banks don't even have a lot of money on hand. I found this out when I went to buy a motorcycle with cash. I went to my local Bank of America branch on a Friday and wanted to take out $16,000. Naturally, I assumed that they had loads of cash back in the vault, but apparently they don’t. They said we can't give you the $16k because it's payday, and we don't want to give away that much cash on a payday. I ended up having to go to three different branches to scrape together the $16k. LOL They said in the future, if you want a lot of cash, place an order for it beforehand.

I didn’t even think this game was still a thing

I’m pretty sure that they don’t even play a real game anymore. Just from reading this thread, I guess they play some flag football and have a skills competition?

As far as JA not going, I do agree that personally, I too would rather be playing at Pebble Beach than going to this sideshow, but….it is a snub to the NFL, AND also to fans who certainly would like to see him there. My feeling is that it just doesn’t look good. The pro bowl date is known months before it happens, and good players know they may be tapped to go, so they should keep that date open and be ready to go.

It’s a shame the season ended one game short of your bold prediction. The good news is that they were playing well enough to make it happen and just couldn’t make one more play. Your call came at a time when most fans had lost hope and wouldn’t have exposed themselves to the ridicule that almost was a certainty with the way they were playing. I needed a few quality wins to get on board but  you never stopped believing. Nice job.

I heard that his favorite band is Journey…

Naturally when the owners agreed to rig things for the struggling league they decided to favor the biggest media market in the country, Kansas City.  It's why all the big city teams were represented in the championship games other than NYC, LA, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, Miami, etc.

Wait a minute now, playing Devils advocate, and echoing the narrative of many people in media, the rabid fans of Taylor Swift more than makeup for the fans they’re losing by elevating a small market team (KC) to the SB.

Do you realize how many “followers” TS has across her many social media platforms? It’s in the tens of millions! Plus I’m sure their parents (who fund their TS devotion) are jumping on the NFL bandwagon too! I’m seeing the latter narrative all over the place! LOL

Note: 80% of this post is sarcasm.

  11. As I said in another thread in this forum on this topic, the notion that young teen/20 something girls are all of a sudden watching ALL three hours of an NFL game just so they can see a few seconds of TS in a suite is absurd. And I don’t think they’re buying up tickets at Chiefs games either. Yes, many of these rabid TS fans probably did run out and but Chiefs gear, because they are young and easily manipulated, but I don’t think those sales amount to anywhere near $330 million.

Really not sure why the networks who show NFL games keep showing her and hyping their relationship. Plenty of NFL players have dated celebrity women, but they never got the coverage that TS is getting.

I had a bit of a PTSD episode watching the 3rd quarter of the game last night. As soon as Aiyuk made that circus catch, I knew it was over, even though Detroit still technically had a two-score lead. I've seen how that movie ends WAY too many times.

I agree with you here, but the most amazing thing about that play is that they picked up the flag and said no PI on Detroit, when it did indeed look like blatant PI on Detroit.

Well, the thing is, Brady will not be assigned to a crappy game. He will almost be on the top game of the week. And from the article:

"With the NFL dominating entertainment, networks are now partly defined by their football coverage. No. 1 NFL analysts command the mega-salaries that used to flow to network news anchors like Tom Brokaw and Dan Rather.".

The NFL is an experience, and the networks want to put their best product out with the best game. And Greg Olsen's salary next year will go down to just $3 million for the B-team, hardly top dollar in the grand scheme of things.

Also, the name recognition helps generate brand value. Exhibit A: Taylor Swift:

I’d be very curious to know how they came up with that $331 million figure. What exactly is “brand value?”

I’m sure that tons of her rabid fans ran out and bought #87 Chiefs jerseys, and maybe other Chiefs apparel & merchandise, but I can’t imagine that adding up to $331 million. And I seriously doubt that they’re attending games and/or watching the games on TV for 3 hours so that they can catch a few shots of her. And does anybody really think that the Moms of all these teenage girls have now also become NFL fans just because their daughters are Swifites? I don’t.

It seems really forced by the major networks, and I’m wondering why. PLENTY of NFL players have/have had hot/famous significant others, but the flaunting of them was/is nowhere near what this is. And of course, most NFL fans are just sick and tired of it, and just want to see the action on the field.

  14. Just mind boggling that these companies have so much money to unnecessarily blow.

Absolutely no one tunes in to an NFL game solely because of who is calling the game. People tune in because: it's their team, they're friends & family of a player/coach, it's a good matchup between good teams, or it's the playoffs/SB.

I just don't understand. Anybody have an explanation? Will people who would otherwise not watch a crappy game between two crappy teams tune in just because Brady is calling it?

Why do the Bills always play this song on gamedays?  The song is 20yrs old and, as far as I’m aware, has zero relevance to Buffalo.

In my opinion, playing this song comes off as tacky, outdated and simply put:  embarrassing.

    1. Why do we play this song?

    2. Who is responsible for selecting the playlist on game days.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm 60+ and had never heard of this song til right now. Just went to YT to check it out, and it's pretty much garbage, IMO.

They play THAT song at every Bills game?! Yeah, I'd question it too.
