  1. tonights performance gets it done for at least 12 wins despite 4 turnovers.  Without the turnovers, who beats them on the schedule? Still not sold on Cook tho.  He seems aloof with and without the ball.  Fortunately, they likely won't need much production from him and hopefully, I'm proven completely wrong.

  2. So your home town's bringing you down
Are you drowning in the small talk and the chatter?
Are you gonna step into line like your daddy done
Punching the time and climbing life's long ladder?

You've been howling at the moon like a slack-jawed fool
And breaking every rule they can throw on
But one of these days, it's gonna be right soon
You'll find your legs and go and stay gone

Young man full of big plans and thinking about tomorrow
Young man gonna make a stand
    You beg, steal, you borrow
You beg, you steal, you borrow

Well, all the friends that you knew in school
They used to be so cool, now they just bore you
Well, look at 'em now, already pulling the plow
So quick to take to grain, like some old mule

Young man full of big plans and thinking about tomorrow
Young man gonna make a stand
    You beg, steal, you borrow
You beg, you steal, you borrow

Dreaming of the day you're gonna pack your bags
    Put the miles away
Oh, just grab your girl and go where no one knows you
What will all the old folks say?

  3. I wished I was smarter
    I wished I was stronger
    I wished I loved Jesus
    The way my wife does
I wish it had been easier
    Instead of any longer
I wished I could have stood where you would have been proud
    But that won't happen now
    That won't happen now

There's a whole lot of singing, it's never gonna be heard
Disappearing every day without so much as a word somehow
Think I broke the wings off that little songbird
She's never gonna fly to the top of the world right now
    Top of the world

  4. Killing the game, 'bout to catch a body
Passed the Harley, Dukie on the Ducati
    Timbaland, Khaled, Scott Storch, Birdman
    Goddamn, man, everybody got Bugattis
But I'mma keep it hella 1987
Head into the dealership and drop a stack and cop a Kawasaki
I'm stunting on everybody, hella raw, pass the Wasabi
I'm so low that my *****'s almost dragging up on the concrete
My seat is leather, alright, I'm lying, it's pleather
But girl, we could still ride together, oh
You don't need an Uber, you don't need a cab
***** a bus pass, you got a moped man
She got 1988 Mariah Carey hair
Very rare, mom jeans on her derriere
Throwing up the West Side as we tear in the air
Stop by Pike Place, throwing fish to a player

  5. Comes a time when you're driftin'
Comes a time when you settle down
    Comes a light, feelings liftin'
Lift that baby right up off the ground

Oh, this old world keeps spinnin' 'round
It's a wonder, tall trees ain't layin' down
    There comes a time

  6. Oh life is bigger
    It's bigger than you
    And you are not me
The lengths that I will go to
    The distance in your eyes
Oh no I've said too much
    I set it up

    That's me in the corner
    That's me in the spot-light
    Losing my religion
Trying to keep up with you
And I don't know if I can do it
Oh no I've said too much
    I haven't said enough

  7. Where the sun comes up about ten in the mornin'
And the sun goes down about three in the day
And you fill your cup with whatever bitter brew you're drinkin'
And you spend your life just thinkin' of how to get away

No one ever knew there was coal in them mountains
Till a man from the northeast arrived
Wavin' hundred dollar bills, said, "I'll pay you for your minerals"
But he never left Harlan alive

  8. Well if I die in Tennessee
Lord if I die, in Tennessee
Boy if I die in Tennessee
    Ship me back by C.O.D.,
My sins, they have overtaken me

So hand me down, my bottle a' corn
Oh hand me down that bottle a' corn
Hand me down my bottle a' corn
Gonna get drunk just sure as you're born
My sins, they have overtaken me

  9. I'll keep you company
    In one glorious harmony
    Waltzing with destiny forever

    Dance me into the night
Underneath the moon shining so bright
    Turning me into the light

    Time dancers whirling past
I gaze through the looking glass
And feel just beyond my grasp is heaven

    Sacred geometry
    Where movement is poetry
Visions of you and me forever

  10. 16 hours ago, Just Jack said:

You know the man who told me about it on the bus,
As it went up the hill out of Scranton, Pennsylvania,
He shrugged his shoulders, he shook his head,
And he said (and this is exactly what he said)
"Boy that sure must've been something.
Just imagine thirty thousand pounds of bananas.
Yes, there were thirty thousand pounds of mashed bananas.
Of bananas. Just bananas. Thirty thousand pounds.
Of Bananas. not no driver now. Just bananas!"

"This is based on a real incident that happened in 1965. It happened on Moosic St hill in Scranton, Pa
the driver was killed several people were injured I work on the bottom of the hill and there have several near misses with cars in the 10 years I've been there
Theres a line in the song that says something about a sign at the top of the hill that says "shift to low gear...."
Now, trucks over a certain weight are forbidden to go down that hill."

  11. Remember her at the gates of Hooker Chemical.  She was right then to bring attention to Love Canal (tho I would argue that Hooker was not to blame) but going to Hanoi was a big mistake.  Love that she befriended Dolly Parton filming 9 to five.  On Golden Pond was a great movie with her dad.  Wish her the best and that it's indolent.

  12. In the mountains the sun sets up in ribbons so high, it's like I don't never wanna get old... don't ever wanna die. We been seein' steady rain, 'bout to drive us all insane, nearly lost a few head up in the pines. At night, when some of the boys get to talking up their girls back home, you know I tell 'em there ain't none as fine as mine. I can hear old Chapman sayin' come morning we'll break the range, be pushin' hard now for the plains.

I close my eyes and I can see you... I close my eyes and I can feel you here. God willin' an the creek don't rise, I'll be home again before this time next year. Though I fear this fever won't break...

    -All my love

  13. "Kathy", I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
"Michigan seems like a dream to me now"
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I've gone to look for America

    Laughing on the bus
    Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy
I said "Be careful, his bowtie is really a camera"

"Toss me a cigarette, I think there's one in my raincoat"
"We smoked the last one an hour ago"
So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine
And the moon rose over an open field

  14. 6 minutes ago, hemma said:
