I am hoping that Kincaid can really be that number one dynamic weapon while the combo of Shakir/Samuel/Knox/Coleman/Cook are enough of a complement in the secondary receiving options while Cook/Davis/Ty have success running behind a strong offensive line. I hate seeing 2023 be derailed offensively due to an ‘’injury/decline from Diggs mid-season and a badly schemed offense. Because the Bills got a great offensive line season once Brown got straightened out after a bit of a rough start and Cook had a very good RB season, it is not most seasons that both things will hold up.

I’ve been pretty outspoken about wanting the Bills to go all out to find Josh the best receivers they can.

THAT SAID, if Kincaid takes a major leap into the stratosphere as one of the best big weapons in the NFL, then yes, that might just be enough to make this cast good enough. But I still wish we had at least one more sure fire guy on the outside. I think the benefit to our Offense would be exponential.

  2. Others have already said as much, but… maybe kinda but not yet.

    1) you must have skill position players that move the ball down the field… somebody’s got to do it and one position will get the most attempts as a group because…

    2) because the NFL is setting up an environment for wide open offenses, receivers are the best skill position to move the ball down the field because they average way more yards per touch than the running backs, and they are more plentiful than top flight TEs

You can win Super Bowls with lesser groups. I think of the Chiefs this year, but they have possibly the greatest TE of all time. So does that really count? Tom Brady did it with some lesser talent, but remember when the Patriots had Randy Moss and one year he had 23 TDs! Yes they stumbled in the Super Bowl to the Giants but they went 18-1 and slaughtered everyone until that point.

Yes you need a franchise QB and must protect him, but that done, receivers are still the shiz on offense and the great ones can be absolutely lethal with a good supporting cast.

"...The league had previously noticed something similarly suspicious move during Week 2 of the 2020 season by Chiefs holder Tommy Townsend after a game-winning 58-yard field goal by kicker Harrison Butker. (Football Zebras also has incriminating video of this kick.)..."

I guess everyone is looking for a competitive edge everywhere in life.

    Thank YOU!

I gotta get off the internet... Wife is coming home soon. Gotta make it look like I was busy! 😆🤣

Well shucks, I guess he’s just gonna have to confess and get that wiped off his ledger. As long as you feel really bad and tell someone everything is going to be alright!

It's common knowledge that Pittsburg native Gamar Hamlin grew up a Steelers fan, and has dreamed of wearing the Black and Gold. Sure, I know many NFL players never get the chance to play with their favorite team. But I think Hamlin's case is unique.

I almost died once… I would, therefore, like to take Hamlin’s place and fulfill my dream of playing for my beloved Buffalo Bills!

It's a good point, but I think that's why most swallowed the Diggs trade as necessary medicine.

But to not double-down in the draft with such available talent, have many scratching their heads

That’s just it. I realize Bean has his plan, but don’t you think Roman Wilson at 60 is a good bet to be one of our top 4 and done a lot for the team?

Beane had other things prioritized higher than a second receiver. Not what I would have done. We shall see…

A friend of mine that works in the NFL (not the Bills) told me not to discount the impact that Hamler will have. He said that Hamler has the speed and deep ball tracking skills that will make him a real threat.  Hamler has never had a QB like Allen.  He also told me that other teams were interested in him before he chose the Bills.  I hope my friend is correct but I will remain skeptical until I see him in the preseason.

I was griping about passing on X Worthy because of what he would bring to the offense. If Hamler can be the guy that strains the secondary then this bodes very well for this offense. But he’s just never been able to really do it yet. We shall see. Maybe Hamler will be the NFL Comeback player of the year… 🤞 😂

Bills offense week 4 on, it was all Shakir, Dalton, Cook, and Josh, and they were often sensational.  Add in Samuel and Coleman and Ray Davis and Knox and Hollins.  Our offensive line has improved.  No more Diva distractions.  Hollins-Shakir-Dalton-Coleman all have very high catch percentages.  WR got bigger, faster, tougher.  Brady can scheme so many mismatches with Curtis-Ray-Cook-Dalton-Coleman.

This just might the most talented offense that Josh has had.

    watch some Shakir highlights.

You make a convincing argument. Fingers crossed.

    I’ll be grabbing my popcorn!

And even if Coleman wasn’t the BEST pick, I have no doubt he and Josh are going to make some splashy plays.

AND YET can you just imagine a downfield playmaker, a Hopkins type, in that Y spot?…. Fire works.

Actually I could see them adding someone upper tier next offseason.

  8. He’s an entitled brat that has gotten away with it in life because he won the genetic lottery. And yes, he worked hard at his sport, but millions and millions of people work hard at their jobs. Remember when he tried to break Shannon Sharpe’s elbow?

  9. I hope the Bills receivers ball out, but still see our receiving room as very incomplete.

    1) We are counting on a rookie to be a number 1. How likely is that?

    2) Even if Coleman becomes a number 1 in short order, who is number 2? I like Shakir and Samuel but they both seem like slots to me.

    3) The rest of the guys are a grab bag of retreads. I hope one will break out, but I don’t see that as likely.

    4) Who is going to be our viable speed threat to stretch and open up the defensive backfields?

Yes Josh makes guys better, but not in the way Brady did. Brady just needed guys to run precise routes and catch the ball when he put it in them. Josh has a different style.

I want to be wrong so badly, but I don’t see this group putting us over the top. We need Coleman to pop but we still need to add a comparable compliment, one that hopefully is a burner. Yes, Samuel is fast, but he isn’t that guy reeling in bombs left and right, unless that’s about to change.

Yes, Kincaid is in the mix but this all still feels lopsided and incomplete to me.

  10. Jumpin Jayzus… so crazy. Was wondering about her yesterday. Gonna read the article now.

    Paywall… blah…

I’m gathering now that Kim had a heart attack and that she must’ve suffered some brain damage going without oxygen so long before being resuscitated. Forgive me if this is already known, I’m just realizing now what the case seems to be. My goodness… heartbreaking

Lol, that isn’t me!! That guy had NO business playing at OSU.

McCord… he had a good high school career but if he hadn’t played with MHJ I highly doubt OSU would have offered him, 1) because he wouldn’t have had as good of stats, and 2) because I think OSU really wanted to land MHJ and taking his buddy helped.

McCarthy is extremely smooth at the mesh point.  No other QB in this draft class comes close.

I guess if O’Connell can build an offense that utilizes that action to great effect, he’s got the right guy. The thing that McCarthy also has going for him, which I already mentioned is his mindset. He’s focused on that very extensively which I respect a lot.

I got distracted by Beane’s perfect little haircut that frames his amazing football-shaped brain. I didn’t hear a word.

But damn brother, I put the steak on your plate - do I have to cut it and feed it to you too??? 😂

Jets should have went hard for McCarthy.  He was there for them.  Instead they took a tackle to keep the Rogers dream alive.  But McCarthy is probably good enough right now to win behind that defense.  I watched him a lot at Michigan because I had a daughter there.  Jets would have been like Michigan all over - very strong defense, do enough on offense to not screw it up and maybe even make some plays.  Glad they took the tackle.

I’m a big Ohio State fan so I had my eye on McCarthy all year. He has good character and athleticism.

Do you feel that he has the arm talent to make it in the NFL? Maybe he just didn’t get to throw it enough in that offense, but I just don’t see the evidence of an NFL caliber passer. Especially when compared with some of the other top guys.
