  1. Judging rounds 1-4, Beane has been about average for his classes. Bonus points for taking a franchise QB but relatively even on hits/misses.

Top tier (hits) - Allen, T. Johnson, Oliver, Knox, Davis

Bust tier (misses) - Phillips, Ford, Epenesa, Moss, Basham

Mid tier (debatable/TBD) - Edmunds, Singletary, Rousseau, Brown

I knock him for 2022 - trading up for Elam was questionable, RB in 2nd rd was questionable (bonus points for trading down), and Bernard remains a head-scratcher especially in light of OL needs.

For his five drafts I'd go B-/C+.

Anytime you pick a RB in the 2nd round… when you already have plenty in the stable is a bad pick IMO… that position is so easily duplicated high picks on it are typically a waste IMO….

I think you either go for a touted RB in R1 or you wait it out. Bills second/third pick should’ve been OL but the McKissic situation had Beane scrambling.

I hate the unknown about starting a season against an nfc team that we rarely play.

Could be close, could be a slaughter (for either team).

On paper it should be close.  The only advantage, I hope we have, is our rbs and improved run offense.

    What improved run offense?

  4. As others have said, amongst starters, Poyer and Saffold are likely gone after this season. As will be depth/stop gap players like Van Roten and Quessenberry.

Older vets at ST/P specialists and backup QB are often older and don’t matter in the calculation.

The only notable returning players 30+ next year will be Hyde, Miller and probably Morse.

Did you watch the Carolina game.  He looked as bad as previous years.  Dont understand why he’s on the team

He’s on the team because there’s familiarity…and there’s nobody else behind him. He didn’t so much earn the spot as he did sort of fall into it by default. They got value in return for a 2nd rd bust and Mancz struggled with health. I’m not even sure who else to mention.

Can somebody explain me that Mancz thing? I thought from all the reports that he was a lock. Was he outplayed by Hart and Van Roten? Wasn't he supposed to be primary backup center?

    I am confused.

    Injury issues.

Luke Tenuta marks the 7th cut in 5 Beane drafts to not make the team (If you count Teller). It's a late pick so not exactly a big deal, but it's interesting.

Only notable in that it was a junk pick the moment it was announced. The guy can’t move. And he couldn’t move on his tape either. But hey he’s tall!
