  1. It's obvious they want Torrence to be starter and Bates backup center. He held his own. Kincaid was in first 2 series, maybe they wanted to keep him under wraps a bit because he was invisible.

Backup O line a disaster. Pray no injuries.  Middle D bad against run. I'd like to see Daquan and Poona in there early downs. Let Oliver be pass downs or move him around, he gets plowed.

Allen has good arm but I see what they have been saying during camp. Bad decisions , looks jumpy. Frankly if Josh out a game I'd rather see Barkley, he was terrific today.

Isabella flashed! Reminds me of young Beasley.  Keep him. Shavers flashed, love his length. Harty is TINY! Yikes, but I can see how he could be explosive in open field.

All in all a decent performance.  Next week we get to see the closest to what the week 1 Bills will look like.

  2. Cautiously optimistic. O better, D might be statistically worse, but in the long run more aggressive and better under McDermott. Hoping Josh better, finally becomes patient. Team is no longer the media darling, if anything they are now looked at as chokers. They will play all year with Boulder on their shoulder. Barring injuries, I believe they have a good chance of winning it all

i mean they almost beat us in the playoffs at home last year

I think we do need to put that game in perspective.  We were two drops(Knox and Shakir) late in the first half that would have turned that game into a rout. Not taking anything away from the Fins that gutted it out with a third string qb

Speedy athletic attacking linebackers make A LOT of sense behind a DT room consisting of Daquan Jones and Poona Ford.

What a homerun of a signing!!  Let's gooo!!

This! I think we are going to be pleasantly surprised by McDermott D, especially by the end of the year barring major injuries. But need to be patient. Beginning of year liable to be slow to get kinks out, might give up more big plays than in the past. PATIENCE.  I know everyone on this board will be just that...🙄🙄🙄

There is a lot of wild Arse speculation in this comment.

All you can say for certain is the Frazier is gone, as much as we know, Frazier was effectively ruining what McDermott wanted him to run,  It maybe the exact same thing and the selection of Dorian Williams as a potential MLB is another indication of more of the same, "undersized" faster quicker to react LBers good in coverage a la Milano.

Some speculation,  which is kind of what this board is about. Wild? Dramatic much?

You know, I think we, including me, have to adjust our understanding of what's going on at linebacker.   If you look back at the history, it's just so clear that McBeane actually believe that the linebackers they want are the slightly over-sized safeties.   Milano's draft profile really doesn't look all that different from Dorian Williams or Bernard.

And despite what we all seem to think what the need is, the Bills simply do not sign free agent linebackers who are in the traditional mode.

I think the reality is that they want over-sized safeties, and we need to get used to it.

THIS!! People need to understand that Frazier and that D is GONE. It's going to be different type of D this year. Maybe it will be better maybe not, we shall see.

    Ah, sorry to misunderstand.

But equally ridiculous. As I pointed out, there's a reason Tremaine is now the fourth-highest paid off-ball linebacker in football, behind only Roquan Smith, Shaquille Leonard and Fred Warner. He's an extremely good player. Terrific applies.

The whole D played much worse when he was out.

Hard to replace, as we seem to be finding out, though I hope I'm wrong about that.

I agree the D was significantly worse with him out last year. BUT that was Fraziers D , and he was a key cog. This D is going to be different, maybe subtly, but perhaps more. His loss may not effect this coming D as much as you think. We shall see. A great test for McDermott for sure.

"Its unreal how this man can read splits, backfield tilts...he is off the spot in a hurry, he is downhill, his run hit ability is as good as any LB in this draft...Dorian and Milano will be an absolute terror LB duo...the Bills have got one here, that is a heck of a pick up by Beane and McDermott"

    I approve.

But...but...casual fans on this board, who never heard of him before the pick say he's too small and a bad pick.  So..that's that...🙄🙄🙄🙄
