  1. Well...I have to believe the Bills do have some sort of plan in mind at wideout. What I have no idea. A trade they will attempt? It seems hard to believe they haven't tried to get at least one speed wr for Josh, and it was a CLEAR need after the defense issues

And we aren't going to be top 3 or whatever in offense this year.  Teams know how to attack our offense that has no speed after watching it  last year.

This is my BIG worry if we don't add speed somehow. To think Josh is going to be at that level again is asking a lot, even for a unicorn like him.

  3. Is anyone else surprised that not only have they not signed with a team, but not even gotten a visit?? What do you think the odds we sign one or both of them at a bargain rate? I would think we are waiting to see how the draft goes first before we make a decision. Although we are soo thin at cb, that even if we draft one high, Douglas would be still be good depth at the right price.

  4. Finally! They gave this kid more chances than I would have. I wanted him traded before last season.  A fifth is a good return all in all. Just a big whiff by Beane. It happens. Have to wonder if CB might not be our first pick now.

I don't think it's a round 1 need anymore, which is nice to have the flexibility.  We need a long term replacement or Jones, but the depth in this draft could give us one anywhere in the first 3 rounds.

I think it will depend on who falls of course. If a DT they have in their top 15 falls to them they will grab him. Otherwise I agree, I think edge or cb becomes much more likely.

  6. Everybody understands that this is a short term, backup safety depth move right? There is no way he is starting this year, and there is always the possibility he doesn't make the final roster. In light of that this is a solid move.

  7. All in all, looking at the realities of the situation this is a good deal. It's NOT an overpay in that sense. He is a good edge run defender and he is a " good" pass rusher. The question is, can he make that jump to be an impact rusher? You watch him, and game in and game out he gets THISCLOSE to the QB but can't seem to finish the deal. Can he close that gap?? That's the question going forward that will determine if this contract was good in the long run.
