Then what….. lol you stopped at a super convenient time after we already scored a td in the second half mind you 😂

    Then you were wrong.

An “adjustment” midway through the 3rd quarter down 17 doesn’t strike me as a team that won the coaching battle.

If you watched the game, the Bucs stopped blitzing and went two high vanilla after going up 17.  A move that nearly cost them the game and let the Bills back into it.

But sure, chalk it up as a coaching victory.  They didn’t see what was coming!  A masterpiece by the staff!

Not that we were trying to be ineffective on purpose by any means  but I think some of the success of the second half is directly tied to things we were trying to set up in the first half

What is this overwhelming sense around here that football games are over at halftime lol I just don’t understand it…we were up on the jets 10-0 and everyone in the game day thread is panicking omg we’re gonna lose to the jets 😂 halftime adjustments are the most important thing a coaching staff does. We absolutely wiped the floor with them in the second half

We must not have watched the same game.  It was 27-10 with 5:51 seconds left in the third quarter.  What is this overwhelming sense around here of people not understanding basic math?

I think we outcoached them honestly…that’s why that game hurt.  Fake punt was certainly a blemish but I think that’s offset by us absolutely torching them in the second half when they went into a shell to prevent quick scores…they also passed up a chip shot fg to go up three scores…just a lot of head scratchers over there

We outcoached them?   What?  We were down multiple scores at half and well into the third quarter.  Are you kidding?

Relying on the refs is stupid and so is the fade, its a low percentage play and always will be

I never said to rely on the refs.  The play design, execution and idea was clearly there as the CB had to basically tackle Diggs to prevent him from catching it.  It’s not Allen’s or Daboll’s fault the CB got away with one or else it was 6.

I know you dont go for the fade on 3rd and 2 with the game on the line.

I don’t think anyone in this world is upset with that call if there is laundry on the field or WR1 comes down with it.

Throw it up to your best WR, 1on1, with a corner that clearly was in over his head (grabbed him) with the game on the line, give me that all day everyday.

This is true however we cant get those linemen now. We need to use the players that we have to the best of their abilities and using bigger receivers in the endzone would help.

there is a whole lot of middle. How many TDs did we score going to the outside ?? None , you have to use what works not s#!t plays that are ineffective by nature.

#Analysis.  All the plays that resulted in touchdowns were good calls.

I am sure you felt the same way when Diggs shook Lattimore at the pylon.

  7. It’s hard to say what to expect, as the team and specifically the offense has been so inconsistent.

Most think the offense magically clicked yesterday in the second half (let's hope they did) but if you rewatch the second half, the Bucs defense did lay off the gas and were not blitzing nearly as much.  Are we being bamboozled a bit by the offense just getting some garbage time type production to let us back into it and Arians mismanaging the game?

I hope I am wrong, but we were down 3 possessions with very little time left in the 3rd quarter.  It’s not outside of the realm to think our offense took advantage of softer looks.  Yes the Bucs picked the heat back up late, but if I am a Bucs fan I am furious with how early they decided to lay off the gas on defense and effectively let us back in it.

This team has talent.  Franchise QB, WR, CB. Milano is a great LB, best safety tandem in the NFL.  Above average #2, #3, #4 WR.  Oliver is very good, we have 2 sometime 3 OL that are above average.  We have most of the key pieces that good coaching staffs would thrive with.  Our coaching staff is awful…plain and simple.

Yeah yeah yeah.  I read this same post during the Rex days.  It falls on both the players and the staff.  It’s not one or the other.  BTW your franchise QB just made a Rookie mistake.

The concept and throw to Davis was specifically a cover zero beater. Come on.

The sack in the red zone you put on Josh?  The one where he spun to try and get out of the sack?  Tel me one other QB in the league besides maybe Lamar or Mahomes who miraculously even keeps that play alive.

not recognizing cover zero on 4th and 17?  Maybe he knew it was cover zero and decided pre snap he was going to try and wiggle and then throw a miracle pass into 40 mph wind. Everyone keeps forgetting that the passes he was confident throwing were to the flats and sidelines. Throwing over the middle to Beasley like so many think we’re wide open we’re the throws that he said we’re sailing on him. The pregame and in game commentators mentioned that multiple times.  But sure just because he made some throws that probably no one ever can/will let’s hold him to some kind of impossible standard. There’s been other games where I’ve been upset with Josh (Jacksonville comes to mind). Not this game in the least.

I mean we can nitpick every single play, but he wasn’t great in the game.  He could have played better.  Yes, the concept on Cover 0 was there (credit Daboll?).  But the execution wasn’t.  Blame the O line? Receivers? Josh?  Wind?

Bottom line is it’s dumb IMO to say that Josh wasn’t PART of the reason we lost. Not the entire reason, but part of the reason for sure falls on him.

Ok by willing the team do you mean putting lasers into guys chest going against the wind only to have them drop them?  I mean he couldn’t have done anything more than he did. I seriously think he took that game over and it was evident in the 4th quarter. Or maybe you mean he could have not false started for Knox once we were in the red zone. Or maybe he could prevent his offensive lineman from getting walked back into him causing a sack on 3rd down forcing them to try to kick into the wind instead of going for it on a manageable 4th and short.

People want so badly to assign blame to one person. We have multiple threads trying to blame the defense for giving up 14 points to the highest scoring offense.

Sometimes you come up short. There were several factors. Josh was not any of the factors for us coming up short last night. WR/TE drops, critical penalties, lack of run game, stalling out in the red zone, among a few of the more noticeable reasons.

It sucks losing but Josh was one of the lone highlights from last night. His throws will probably be the most amazing throws of the entire season but no one will remember them because of drops and us coming up short.

I will remember him not recognizing cover zero like he regressed to 2018 again on the last play of the game.  I will also remember him taking an untimely sack inside the redzone and making poor reads and missing open players in critical moments.  Rolling right and forcing a ball to Knox in the late stage of the game, when he had Diggs wide open over the middle at the 6 yard line, immediately comes to mind.

And you say Josh wasn’t at least ONE of the many reasons we came up short?  Are you kidding?  All his fault, absolutely not.  Does he share some of the blame?  100%.
