Miami looks too good? Lol by beating a chargers team by 2 points that allowed tannehill to go 20/24 and shred them ? Or by pulling out a win down to the wire against a patriots team Allen dominates? Don't crown them division champs just yet bud

Game was essentially over long before the last drive

Tua hasn't proven he can win a big game against a good team in a high stress situation.  He (and Miami) have choked every time in those situations

You can divide their years into three different buckets:

Early dominance: 2001 to 2004. They won 3 superbowls in 4 years.

Middle Less Dominant: 2005 to 2013. No superbowl wins. They were somewhat like our Bills today, not getting over the hump in the playoffs. They were even one-and-done in the playoffs two times during this stretch. They did get there twice, but lost to the Giants both times.

Late Dominance: 2014 to 2020. Everything clicked again for a few years. They won 4 more superbowls during this stretch.

Tom Brady is the big reason they won so much. He is the GOAT. He also took a discount for much of those years. They also had successful schemes and knew how to bring in role players to fit specific roles in the offense. They didn't always draft particularly well, but they were good at bringing in value free agents and made trades or signed big time players at the right time to help get over the hump (Wes Welker, Randy Moss, Stephon Gilmore, etc.)

2014 to 2020 they won 3 super bowls

We spent all those years arguing Brady vs Manning and it turns out Mahomes is better than both.

Yet couldn't beat a Brady led team in 2 of the biggest games of his young career.

14 seasons of the 21 he was the starter (2008 not included) he made it to the final 4

  4. Best to ever play the position.

The fact that he played almost 3 full seasons worth of games post week 17(18) and won 35 of them (hard to win 1) is phenomenal        286-95 combined 75.1%

From Terry Glenn in Oct 2001 to Cameron Brate in  Jan 2023  735 touchdowns in between and a cool 58.3 miles in passing yards.   Just amazing to have watched ,

I've been a Bills fan since the OJ years, growing up in the Town of Tonawanda. The Bills have been and will always, be my team. I moved to Houston 22 years ago, but still passionately root for my team. I have suffered during the dark years, post the Music City BS. I hated the Rex Ryan hire, which wasted more precious years away. Josh was my pick for the draft that year; no one looked better to represent the Bills than Josh. He's proven to be exactly what we need. I've been so happy watching my team the past few years.

However, this game today just took all the wind out of my sails. I just don't know how much more miserable such an important, home playoff game could have been. This one hurts more than the Kansas City loss last year. It also tops the Texans defeat in overtime. The key difference being that in both those games, we were competitive and could easily have won. This game was over in the 1st quarter. It's like they didn't plan for the Bengals at all.

It will be a long time before I can even read anything about the Bills again. It just hurts.....

Making it to the final 8 is no small feat, it's difficult to win games in the NFL and even harder to win playoff games.
