There's something weird going on with this team mentally, and it has nothing to do with Hamlin or blizzards. Tough to put my finger on, but it's there. Wonder if there's some type of infighting we're unaware of.
I'm betting it comes out sometime after the Super Bowl. Once the league year ends and players know they won't be back, some will talk about things that went on.

I think Frazier should absolutely be gone. 13 seconds, now this whole season.
and if McD wants to save his own butt he will fire Dorsey and get a better OC (hopefully Reich) to take the reins and make the offense more efficient and fluid
I'd love to see Frank back in Buffalo. He's a good coach, but a better OC.

At the end of last year, I was thinking it’s just a matter of time (maybe this year) where we win a superbowl. At the end of this year, I think a Super Bowl win May never happen…because like you said…we’re paper tigers.
Unfortunately, this sad statement is very true. I thought this would be our year. Next year may pan out if:
1. We shore up the OL and bring in some maulers.
2. We get Josh a solid #2 WR
3. Von comes back and plays at a high level
4. We find a suitable replacement for Edmonds.
5. Hamlin recovers fully and so does Hyde
6.. The young DL's finally come into their own.7. Josh gets more disciplined with the ball and cuts down on the turnovers.
8. We stay injury free with our star players and go into the playoffs fully healthy.
That's a lot to ask for. I see a slight regression and possibly losing control of the AFC East unless we really hit the draft and make the right off-season moves.

Last year was worse. I didn’t expect them to win today. They have been overrated this season. After the ***** show last week I just thought it was obvious by now.
I don't think they were overrated when at full strength. We just had way too many injuries to important players and today it was too much to overcome. We were playing our #4 safety and practice squad guys were getting reps on the DL. You don't want to see that in a playoff game.

Miller and Jones being out today hurt but that wasn't going to make that big of a difference today.
Disagree. It hurt real bad. We lost 60 pounds of muscle in the middle and I saw Basham inside on way too many occasions. Without Von we went from #4 in pressure to #27. This game was where we needed both these guys and Hyde. All 3 play, we win.

Our season was extremely derailed by the first Cincy game, we haven't recovered from that and it showed today. There were other things also but this one was the most important imo.
Hyde's injury was the first big hit to the Bills train. We started veering off course on defense. Hamlin filled in admirably but we lost rhythm and communication. When Von went down we got derailed. Going from #4 in pressures to #27 is a big drop and it shouldn't fall on one man, but it did. Von was the soul of the DL and we lost our edge and intimidation on D after that.
By the time Hamlin was hurt, our defense lost it's fire. The big hits were gone. And today without Daquan Jones we lost our last the last piece. Muscle in the middle and our defense was cooked and couldn't stop anything. We got bulldozed.Unfortunately, the weak OL was also getting hammered and Josh could not get in a rhythm. He had no time to find anyone and he pressed too hard and couldn't carry the offense. The OL couldn't open up lanes for Cook or Devin and we had no mojo. It was a slow, agonizing 3 hour death.

I hate when games are over by halftime (unless it's the Bills in total control)
I also hate when my Fan Duel bets are losing too. If the game is a blowout, at least let me win some $$$

Not unless he bombs at the combine. If he does great, he'll probably be taken in the top half. Look at Detroit with the #6 and #18 picks
Possibility, but the Swift, Williams combo is doing them well. They need help on D. Maybe with #18 if he's still there.

I'm not a Brady fan but the last few years of beating down the Patriots has relieved the torment of the Brady years. After moving to Tampa in 2020, I got to see a lot more of Tom on and off the field and he earned my respect. The man is passionate about the game and has an insane work ethic. He's. student of the game and he's done more than any other QB in history with less physical giftings than most. Could you imagine him with Josh's body. He may have been undefeated.

50/50 straight up. I think this game goes either way. We get the bounces and the calls or we don't.

With Von Miller, the Bills ranked 4th in the NFL in pressure rate (34.4%) with 4 or less pass rushers. Since his injury, the Bills are 27th in the NFL in pressure rate (25.4%) with 4 or less pass rushers.
For those (few) who say Von hasn't been missed.
I believe it and I see it. Von was the one guy on defense we really couldn't afford to lose. He made everyone around him better. This sucks. With Von and Hyde, I think we'd be kissing those rings in February. Without them, it's an uphill battle.

I’d agree with your point. As a counter point I’d ask you to consider what team could have won if they had 2 picks, 3 fumbles, a muffed punt, and gave up a 50 yard punt return? There is maybe one team (KC) that could on your list outside of Buffalo.
The Bills won a game where all previous teams had failed. This should give us a sigh of relief and also a tremendous amount of confidence going forward.
I'm confident they can win out, but they have to play near mistake free ball. Josh can't turn it over 2-3 times and expect the D will bail them out.

We won’t play another defense as stacked as the fins are at DL (Philips, Chubb and Wilkins are beasts).
San Francisco is better than Miami on the DL. That could be our Super Bowl and Bosa will devour this OL. Philly has maulers in the middle. If we get to the big game, we will have our hands full.
Are the Bills good? YES. VERY GOOD. This team is resilient, they have character and they are talented. But they are plagued by misfortune, poor decisions at critical times and some bad play calling.Who is better? The way teams are playing now I'd rank.
1. SF2. Phil
3. KC
4. Cin
5. Buf
6. Dal7.NYG
8. Jax
9. Tampa
KC has an easy ride. The Bills need to figure it out quick. Time is running out and we need to be on our A game. We really needed Von and Micah on D for this run. Maybe we can get Hyde back. That would be huge. If Josh can limit his negative plays and turnovers we have a chance to run the table. It's on him, unfortunately.

We need a tougher OL and a breakaway threat like CMC.
Sadly, it looks like the 49'ers with a rookie QB are the team to beat. McCaffrey and Deebo just take over games with average QB play and their defense is savage. I really wish the Bills would step it up, but they just look a step behind the elite right now.
-
We could be looking at two weak ass OL's with great QB's next week.
-
Ticky tac roughing.

Now I'm just hoping the rest of Cinci's OL gets decimated. Also Apple and a few D to miss next week would help. We need help.

that sucked. What a turn around. You've got to hold on to that ball.. Dumb play by Huntley cost them dearly.
-
All things the same, it all comes down to Josh protecting the football. Everyone else played like they always do. Take away Josh's careless plays and we win by 20. If he plays mistake free next week, we will also win. If he turns the ball over 2+ times, that might be too much to overcome. My hope is that Bal-Cin just keep beating each other down and take a few guys out of the game for next week.
-
I'm pissed we let Hodgins go. We spent all that time developing him and he was turning the corner this year. I thought he was getting close to contributing, now we see that he can. Luckily Shakir looks like he will contribute in the future, but we still need our WR's to step up.

I didn't sit down twice for the last hour and smoked a cigar INSIDE the house
I was pacing and squeezing throw pillows the second half. I was afraid my nerves were going to explode. I just keep thinking, we are crushing them in every way, except we keep shooting ourselves in the foot and letting them hang in there. If we lose, I'm going to lose my sh$t

That was probably one of my top 5 least enjoyable bills game i can remember it had no buisness being this close.
Yup, my nerves were rattled. We shot ourselves in the foot so many times to let them stay in the game. It was disgusting and must end now or our season ends next week.
