You seem like the type of person who tells everyone around him on a flight that you just know the plane will crash.

Just stating the obvious my friend. I'm still extremely high on the Bills. Just pointing out that going 6-0 in the conference is VERY unlikely. Which means the Bills must do better in the other in-conference games. I fly every week, and would never think about a plane crash. You seem a bit Pollyannaish.

'm glad the Phins beat Baltimore.  I think the Phins will fade over the course of the season but the Ravens will be in the hunt at the end.  This Raven loss may help with the Bills getting the #1 seed.  Now the Bills need to take care of their business and continue to stack wins starting with beating the Titans tomorrow night.

Sounds like some whistling by the graveyard on your part. You have no idea if the Dolphins will fade. In fact they are a much younger team than the Bills. Bills could easily be 1-2 after week three.

ets got really lucky as the Browns went full Browns.  New England barely beat Pittsburgh who is a below average team without Watt.  Dolphins are the real competition.  Let's hope we just get by tomorrow night with all our injuries and go to Miami next week ready to go.

You've been around long enough to know in the NFL a win is NEVER easy, and is ALL that matters. Both the Pats and Jets showed some moxy. My point is the Bills NEED home field advantage to improve their chances to advance to the SB. At this point, it looks that much harder to achieve.

hat was my take. Seemed they chose the 70 year old coach over their franchise quarterback.

They did what was best for Wilson AND the franchise. They were not going to be that good the next few years, and gave Wilson a chance to continue to chase another ring, while getting a treasure trove of draft picks. It was a win-win. I'd take 70 YO Carol, over a lot of todays boring data based coaching robots, who coach on remote control, and look like eunuchs on the sidelines. 93 year old Ralph Wilson could have moved the franchise to many other cities and made twice the money! Then where would the Bills, or the city of Buffalo be? Josh Allen would be in Austin now, and know one would even think of Buffalo... Grow up.

  5. They should boo him! He wanted out of the city that supported the Hawks during good times and bad (Just like here). I like the Sea Hawks. they play in a far removed remote part of the country, where every road game is a long trip. They play outdoors even though they had plenty of money for a dome. The fan base is solid, and make Seattle the loudest stadium in the league by far. I'm all Bills, but tonight I'm for Seattle!

  6. Yeah the Chiefs no doubt. Many polls have them as the 4th or 5th best team in the league. That's plenty of motivation. Plus the Chargers, and Ravens. The Bills will need to be just about flawless to beat ANY of those teams. I can also see the Bills losing a game to the Dolphins. Bills need to get to 13 wins to ensure HFA throughout the playoffs.

  7. Mike Tomlin has NEVER has a losing season in Pittsburgh. If he can maintain that record this year with Trubisky under center, he'll be a coach of the year candidate. Not knocking Mitch, but he's not had a winning season. The Steelers O-Line looks dreadful,  and top RB Harris has been dealing with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot that has limited his pre-season. More likely Mitch lasts about 6/7 games before giving way to Pickett.

  8. It's all over the media that he's already admitted he had sex with an underage girl. So consent won't matter. Basically he's already committed a crime! I don't understand this discussion at this point? He has to to go, and the Bills need to find a decent punter. When the Colts immediately signed Haack when he was released, I knew there weren't many good punters out there....A punter is not a QB, but they aren't nothing.... Bills need to clean this up pronto! n .

  9. He's done, finished, caput. Nice knowing you. Bills can't afford to let this disrupt this critical season for a stinking punter. Anyone see McDermott letting this fester for a nano-second? NO-WAY!! The media will go crazy. All future questions will be about the PUNTER!! Cut their loses ASAP. Bring back Haack. He was good enough. The debate is over now. Let's get the Super Bowl.

  10. I will also note, that while most of the commenters here are rightfully harshly judging the Browns, and Watson. However the last I looked OJ Simpsons name is still disgustingly on the Stadiums "Ring of Honor". And their is 100% no doubt he brutally butchered two people to death!! While were worrying about some coerced hand jobs? Watson's garbage, and will be rightfully suspended. But let's get off our high horses here in western NY.

  11. Goodell will add 3 more games, to make it more than half the season. Seems about right. All but one of the complainants have settled (Likely costing Watson $millions). If their satisfied, who are we to judge? He's coming back at some point no matter what. Watson will live with this stain forever. He already has the contract. Folks will undoubtedly let their feelings be known at the stadiums, and in the streets. He's not going to EVER get an endorsement deal. Time to move on.

  12. Sullivan has been one of the best sports writer in this city for a decade. Buffalo fans like their sports writers to be unabashed homers, and drove the News to can him. Sullivan's analyses was spot on in every respect. The Bills 2021 schedule was maybe the easiest in teams history and they were 7-6 after 13 games!! If any sports writers from Boston, Philly, or New York ever landed in Buffalo, Bills fans would be hiding under their blankets. I like having the Bills in the national spotlight, as it's been almost 3 decades since the Bills were relevant. If the Bills get off to a slow start (I real possibility), the fickle national media will turn on the Bills. I also worry that the Bills will take a step back this year.

  13. Yeah, lets start the year off looking totally unprepared like last year, and lose to a pathetic Steelers team. Most punters here seem to think practice is a waste of time. Didn't work out to well for Iverson either. Allen needs at least 20 serious snaps in game 3 of the pre-season. Bills could easily start 1-4 with a brutal opening schedule. They have a real schedule this year, facing most of the best QB's in the league, with an untested defensive line. I predict there will be folks jumping off the Peace Bridge by week 6. I small a wild card birth.

  14. Plus the Charges play in a city that couldn't care less about them. LA fans barely support the Rams. If the Chargers ever get home field advantage in the playoffs, the opposing teams will have MANY more fans in the stadium. The players are highly paid professionals. But over the course of a season it must grate on them that there fans are totally indifferent to the team. The Chargers should have stayed in San Diego, who fully supported the team, or they should have moved to Portland or even Oakland where the fans would have fully embraced them... Foolish ownership never really cared about fans.

  15. Forget Uber/Lyft/Cabs - Take Miami Dade Metrorail to Earlington Heights Station and transfer to Metrobus Route 297. It's a 10 minute bus ride, and runs every 15 minutes. Trip will cost about $8 bucks. Many Dolphins fans take this route. Odd how most people never even consider light rail/public transit when it's everywhere in south Florida. Plus many hotels are along Metrorail as well. I have done this about 5 times. The money I save goes to better meals, and cocktails. Just use Google. It's not the 1990's anymore. Most people don't know how to travel, and waste significant time and $$ using Uber and rental cars..... Your welcome.

Obviously ALL of the NFL media and the Bills don't share your view. Most had need for a running RB as #1 or #2 on EVERY Bills needs list. Keep your eyes wide shut. I want a SB, Singletary as the feature back lessons that chance.

  17. Nice read. Thanks for sharing. Not sure a 2nd round pick can be "Sneaky", but it's good to see Cook has some high profile media fans. I like the pick, but wish Cook was also slated to take carries away from Motor. I can't forget Singletary virtually disappeared from the offense for large chunks of the season. When the Bills had their mid-season slump, Singletary was getting stuffed on a regular basis, and fans were ready to dump him. Hopefully Cook has the stamina to be a productive back in the running game as well. I'm still not 100% certain that Singletary is even a top 30 back in the NFL

  18. Literally every post draft analyses has praised Shakir as one of the best WR value steals of the draft. Most liked Elam, but there weren't too many raves about him. Most have been tepid about Bernard due to size and arm stats. ESPN and The Atlantic thought he was 4th/5th round material. Many thought Cook was a good fit for the Bills because of his receiving skills, but not a true Bell Cow RB, and not a threat to Singletary or Moss. Bills overall average was a solid B grade on the 11 sites I reviewed, which is pretty good considering their position.
