  1. I don't get the rush to change things for an offense and special teams that are clicking on all cylinders.

If one of our guys can't go, I'm happy to have Stills as an option but I would far prefer to run our top six -- Diggs, Brown, Beasley, Davis, McKenzie, and Roberts in their usual roles. If you can

Sounds like we are going to be completely raided this offseason

I guess this is what good teams have to go thru but a bit annoying the 1 year we have a good season teams are already trying to steal our guys. Wish Pegula could just give these guys absurd raises and keep them here. Reminder there is no salary cap on coaches.

It sucks but for a lot of these guys it's the opportunity of the lifetime to get one of these jobs. A major bump in salary probably isn't enough to compensate for the power and prominence of some of these roles.

Fitzy is the QB of record for 5 of the wins?

I would definitely look at it (and FWIW I have zero faith in Tua and would be looking to make a change if I was in charge there).

But if you just drafted Tua in the top five, unless you've completely given up on him (ala Rosen in Arizona), can get major value in a trade, or are in love with what is likely to be the third quarterback off the board, I don't know how you make that move at three rather than trying to build an offense around him and give him a chance to sink or swim in year two.

    Its definitely for depth

Our to 4 wr's are as good as anyone in the league but if you get an injury or 2 we are playing andre roberts and McKenzie in meaningful wr snaps. While both are solid contributors (both kind of niche players) neither you want in a major role

    This is absolutely correct IMHO

Stills gives us some cover for both Brown and Beasley if either is unable to fully fill their respective rolls coming off injury, and a second depth option outside if our starters don't go the full game Sunday.

Special teams has played well all year, and with our tight ends and Davis as other options already dressing for size in the red zone he just adds more value at the moment than someone like Kumerow or Williams.

Sure Start him IF you have the 2 seed locked up.

Make Allen inactive, and Barkley and Fromm are your QBs for that week

This is the only play that makes sense. Barkley/Fromm active Week 17 -- Josh Allen in a bubble safe from COVID/injury. TBH getting Fromm his first NFL reps, along with letting Barkley shake the rust off would be good just in case disaster strikes in the playoffs.

  6. In this hypothetical wouldn't we quarantine Allen and let him have the week preparing for our potential playoff opponents and go with Barkley-Fromm.

In a game with no seeding implications, having Allen active to either be forced into the game because of injury to Barkley/Fromm and/or potentially exposed to COVID seems like a bad idea.

  7. It would be foolish to try and stop him from leaving.

If the staff is serious about keeping him, letting him know that he's valued and that we're willing to sweeten his compensation and extend his contract if he decides to stay or doesn't want a Head Coaching opportunity is about all you can do. No contract is going to keep someone who wants to be a Head Coach from leaving if one of the other thirty-one teams comes calling and they want to make the move.

If anything, I would be looking at who on the staff would take his place if he decides to leave, along with which positional coaches would be priorities to retain, so we can try to keep them before they jump ship with Daboll.

  8. This is such a great sign for a healthy and confident organization.

If I am a coach with Head Coach aspirations, seeing that ownership and the rest of leadership is going to encourage and support my growth, even if it leads me away from the team has to make the the culture attractive.

If you compare that to teams that in the past have blocked coaches from even interviewing for other positions, I know which organization I would rather be a part of for sure.

Lol. Tell me when the Bills have stopped or eliminated any ones run game. Last year doesn't count. By your owns words Dallas didn't run well vs the 49ers. So your theory is poop. Russel cooked with DK and Moore. With respect, I disagree with your analysis and game plan.

They have not been able to, which is why if Seattle is banged up and we can stop the run that would bode well for our defense.

The other option is to drop into a shell and let them control the game like the Chiefs did against us and we did against the Patriots, which is I guess what your suggesting. I don't think that will work because of how talented Wilson and their receivers are.

You seriously don't remember him? Like at all? His name alone is pretty memorable. Not that he was some great player, but he made a few timely splash plays. He played 19 games total with us. 3 INT's and 2 FF. Only 8 starts. I was surprised we didn't keep him as depth behind Poyer and Hyde.

The legend of Rambo with those two interceptions against Aaron Rodgers still makes me smile.

"keep russell wilson in the pocket" lol

hes the best QB in the league. thats where he does his damage from...the pocket

I think you missed my point. The only chance is making the game one dimensional by eliminating the run game and forcing Wilson to get the ball out quickly.

Wilson is a great quarterback in the pocket, outside the pocket, on the run. He's incredible. I just think our chances of winning rely pressuring him in the pocket as a pure passer. If he's regularly extending the play outside the pocket and dropping dimes I don't know if we have the guns to hang with them.

They still have to prove that to me this year....they have "hung with" 1 decent team and they won that LA Rams..they got blown out by every other good team they played. If anything we can say the Bills let ANYONE hang with them..they cant put away/blow out ANYONE...and their offense and Dfense are trending Down rather than up..forst 4 games they were light out good on O..last 4 games they were lights out BAD. and worse than bad on D. am I happy they are 6-2 YES...but I think its more a product of the schedule than being a really good team.  The first 4 games because they were SCORING yes I agree 100% they could hang with anyone with that O..... The last 4 games they have been HORRIBLE on O and on D..the difference in the last 4 games is that they more or less played the same in all of them BADLY..BUT they faced 2 good teams 2 BAD losses and 2 horrible teams 2 barely wins...had they faced 4 good teams in this last 4 games they would have 4 L's instead of being 2-2.

My guess is with the remaining schedule they will PLAYING AS THEY HAVE BEEN on O and D

    Seattle L

    Arizona L

    Chargers W

    San Fran L

    SteelersL

    DenverW

    NE tossup

    Miami Tossup

So that = this year they should end up anywhere from 10-6 to 8-8

The Raiders have wins against the Saints, Chiefs and Browns -- they're a quality team. The Dolphins and Patriots also aren't pushovers which is why you've got them as tossups in your schedule for the rest of the year, so let's give the team some credit for beating them once already, especially because the Dolphins offense looked night and day better with Fitzpatrick (who we beat) and the Patriots were literally playing for their season.

As for your sure losses, Cardinals have lost to the Lions and Panthers. Those are both teams that we are objectively better than. San Francisco is dealing with some of the worst injuries that I have ever seen and who knows what they will look like when we play them. Seattle has played almost every game tight with one score games against the Dolphins, Vikings (one point), and Cowboys.

Any given Sunday in the NFL and I wouldn't count them out in any of the remaining games. IMHO the toughest three games of our schedule are Chiefs, Titans, and Steelers and we've got two of three out of the way already and are at 6-2.

My opinion is a little different. Obviously, with Carson and Hyde they are much better. I think the Seahawks will hurt us on the ground no matter who is at RB. Dallas didn't look awful vs the 49ers. We haven't been able to stop the run. Harris was even productive yesterday. Also, who do we have to cover both Locket and Metcalf? One of surely should be productive. We are vulnerable vs Big WR and slot WR. Puck your poison . Not to mention Wilson's ability to run and make big plays. The only way win is by exploiting their weak secondary. Allen will have to be awesome.

If it's me we put White on Lockett to ride or die and try and scheme to always have safety help for Wallace/Norman against DK on the other side.

FWIW we seem to struggle with size -- Parker, Mims, Kupp more than speed guys like Hill this season and last.

Dallas only averaged 2.3 yards per carry and 3.4 yards per catch against the 49ers so your eyes may deceive you there. If they can't take advantage of our soft run defense either because we got out to a quick start or because of injuries I give us a much better chance.

I agree with you on the offense but the defense has declined. Still this is looking like a good year. Hopefully they can win the division and get a home playoff game. I also think they are capable of winning a playoff game but this roster needs improvements especially on defense to hang with the AFC's elite.

We can hang with anyone -- look at the games the Titans, Chiefs and Ravens have dropped this season. Any given Sunday...

I don’t think they will lose enough games to get fields unless they trade up. I have a feeling fields ends up in Atlanta. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the pats trade for Matt Ryan. Belichick doesn’t seem like the type who really wants to “start over” at QB. Plus ryan went to BC, seems like a match made in heaven for him possibly.

Matt Ryan in New England would be very interesting. I can't imagine him being particularly successful without the receivers that he has in Atlanta but had never thought about the Boston College connection.

If I recall correctly Seattle flew out to Miami for a 1pm game and it was pretty close. Seattle ended up winning by a TD but allowed 23.

it was 17-9 at the half and Most of their scoring was in the 4th qtr. It will be important for the Bills not to fall behind early.

If Seattle doesn't have Chris Carson running the ball their offense should be pretty one dimensional. If you can keep Russel Wilson in the pocket and our secondary plays up to snuff it might be a halfway decent matchup for our defense. DK worries me though as we've had trouble with bigger physical receivers this year and last.

The game showed even if the Bills make the playoffs they are a one and done team when they get there.

If the playoffs began today we'd play the Colts at home. If you don't think there's at least an even chance that we could beat the Colts -- who lost to the Browns and Jaguars and nearly to the Bengals, I don't know what to tell you. This is the most talented and promising team that we've seen in decades.
