If we win the Superbowl he'll have complete hold over the country to get as many breaks as any athlete moving forward.
-
If the Bills with Allen become multi-year winners we'll be the same. Once you expect a win every game this is the conclusion of such madness
-
Mayfield is wondering somewhere "What do I have to do to win this thing?"
Toooooo bad sucker.

We're going to allow 23-27 points by the Steelers minimum. The question is can we score more than 27 against their D.
So yeah we can win.

I would rate his performance a C-
And for those who don't understand that's sarcasm. That's an A+ game

He's a perfect stat guy who looks like he might make it but when you watch him he's nowhere near the ball when the game counts. He's a master of a tackle 3-5 yards after the LOS.
Reminds me of London Fletcher in his last year with us.

You would have thought they would have polled their customer base who loved the fun personalities, the emphasis on sports, and the humor.
Back when Olberman took himself lightly and was funny, where they had great boxing and good announcers, and you just enjoyed yourself.

It is easier for good QBs than in the past but look at Burrow and Herbert compared to Tua. There remains a difference. The league doesn't make it possible for just anyone to be a star. Only the most talented reach that level.
The difference is if 1-3 new QBs a year can be more than competent quickly it will waters down the game. Sure it requires talent, but Farve never hit over 100 QB rating in his life until he was old on another team.
Gardner Minshew is a great example. He's a very good backup for a team, but had the stats of a starter for the last few games of last year and a few this year. If there are many Minshews playing great football than it waters down really great QBs.
If we're honest there is only so much a QB can do to be great like throw for 65+% completion, over 4,000 yards, 30 TDs, 95 QB rating and now that's the new baseline for just being "good" which is ridiculous. That might fit 17 QBs this year. 17.
Half of the QBs aren't playing astounding it's the rules and lack of holding that's changed the game.
-
When many QBs become great then it waters down the product considerably.
The rules have made QBs into instant legends.
I mean let's be frank if Herbert was having Allen's stats we would all be happy.
If Herberts, Burrows, and other guys become top 10 that fast it takes away the luster of a franchise QB

Pittsburgh, KC, GB, and NO are the teams that shows us why running the ball is so important. It's not as important as it used to be, but it gives you another way to move the ball.
So far 1 game doesn't cut it. If Allen is having an off game we need it.
No team should rely on the QB just to win the game every game.

Even if Allen has the yips in a few games, he's proven he can be a great player and considering how hard he works he needs patience even if he messes up.
He's young, works hard, very likeable and now he's ours to destroy the league.

Serious question: have you ever looked at the game logs of these undoubtedly "top QB"?
Mahomes is at the top of the league right now and Allen isn't in his weight class (yet), but Mahomes, too, has days where he throws 2 INTs and 0 TDs and completes <55% of his passes and passes for less than 200 yds.
Honest.
He does.
Really.
Interestingly looking at the Mahomes stats you see something you don't see with Allen and that's 30+ scoring even when he has a bad stat game. Is that coaching or just QB play? Don't know.
But you can't compare the scoring with Mahomes even with bad games with Allen except 4 games he crushed it to start the season.

Did you read the article?
The article is conjecture. 11 completions cannot simply be explained away.
The people who use the most amount of words are always hiding things. I'm still happy we scored 24 points against a defense with almost half the starters out of the game.
Russell Wilson is what a great QB looks like against the Pats, and the 49ers looked like with a great running attack looks like against them.
I'm happy for the win. Both the coaches and Allen could have been better.

Are you blind or a stat boy who doesn't watch games. Allen put the team on his back in a bunch of games last year.
I actually watched Jones play last year and he had games demonstrably better in quality and quantity.
The blindness would be the person who denies reality. Allen sucked last year.

Again I blame that on McD & the coaches.
Refuse to accept that. It's the coaches that hjave let him down.
So when he did well did you give the coaches credit and not Allen or only when he doesn't do well?

Buffalo will not gain national respect unless they make a deep run in the playoffs. In addition to this Josh Allen has to play more consistently at a high level.
The emergence of of a problematic team in South Florida (Miami) also plays into the Bills losing luster. The Bills are not the underdog anymore. Miami now sits in that role in the AFCE. Underdogs make for better press.
Agreed, but Allen playing at a super high level would be enough like Lamar last year and the 1st month of this year.
Instead he's fallen off a cliff.

Jones now has played 20 games and has 21 INTs and 15 lost fumbles, which gives him the most turnovers(36 total) through his first 20 games for a QB since Ryan Leaf had 41...
Think it might be time to realize he isn't the guy they thought he was and maybe is more like the guy every other team thought he was...

Allen looked brutal in year 2.
-
Got to say I'm not high on Allen after these last few games. I washed away all of my fears of his 1st 2 years after the first 4 games but he looks like he regressed back to the mean of what he was last year.
My guess is it's the weather or it's D-coordinators saw something that makes him mortal again or he was just playing out of his mind.
These next 5 games are extremely hard. I think we win at least 2 of them making us minimally 8-5 or 9-4.
I give him a "C-" for this game.

Even the best coaches with bad ownership and bad GM will fail and if Romo coached and failed his stock as a big brand commentator would go wayyy down.
The only thing Romo could do to fail is be bad at commenting. He's not.
You only work 25 weeks a year. What's not to like?
-
Well it would make it fun to watch.
The problem is we don't have the O-line to have a balanced offense to make it work.

To win a Super Bowl, you have to have 1 or 2 players on defense that can absolutely take over a game. We only have White. It sucks watching other teams getting 10+ sacks a year from players, but we can’t.Just like the Rams?

The NFL has allowed massive holding this year for all teams. The problem is the Bills defensive was made for new generation of quick, fast players and once you hold them they aren't even remotely elite. The same is true of the Chargers defense who are also struggling.
We basically built a defense around the older enforcement and we aren't adjusting. Adjustment needs elite talent, we spread out the talent by rotation.
It can be argued, rightfully, we haven't properly addressed pass-rushing since McBeane's start. I think they look at WRs and the D line as an effort by committee more than stand-outs.
For that reason we suck this year.

Kroft is more than serviceable at the position for what we need. Why we keep pushing Knox when he hasn't shown that much is bizarre to me.

PFF ranks Josh as 6th best QB in week 13.
