It's pretty interesting that Baker Mayfield is the oldest remaining QB in the AFC playoffs.

    Baker Mayfield - 25 - Born Apr 14, 1995

    Patrick Mahomes - 25 - Born Sep 17, 1995

    Josh Allen - 24 - Born May 21, 1996

    Lamar Jackson - 24 -  Born Jan 07, 1997

Definitely seems like a "changing of the guard." Allen beats Rivers(39) , Mayfield beats Big Ben(38), Jakson beats Tannehill (32).

I still struggle with the concept of a QB beating another team. I still think there should be more evidence of the "team" over the player.

Trump had no intention of promoting a peaceful march. This is just pure sophistry.

He has shown zero remorse for inciting that riot because he is an amoral sociopath - he is literally incapable of remorse.

If you cannot objectively look at the lies and actions that man has taken abusing his Presidency, the assessments of his lack of character from those who have worked directly with him, then you are another rank and file hopeless Trump apologist.

Props for the Orwell reference BTW. I admit I have always felt the "cancel culture" mirrored his "Newspeak". While Trumps indoctrination efforts and willing embrace of Q-Anon and peddling conspiracy theories mirrored "Doublespeak".

    We live in Orwellian times.

Disagree as there is no evidence of incitement.

While I think he is amoral and is a sociopath I did think he did show remorse insofar as repeating no violence today and promising a peaceful transition.

The problem with your understanding of Orwell was he was against thought-crimes. What you admit to is thought-crime with someone saying the opposite like "peaceful" but he meant "violence". Unless you saw him march with the people inciting violence it requires mind-reading. You flipped Orwell's statement of inanity to "Peace is War".

Despite having his day in court to present his evidence about 50+ times he wasn't able successfully prove any significant claims by any objective measure.

He never had a trial, most of the denials were based on procedure like lack of jurisdiction, or lack of standing. That's not proof of faulty beliefs or even if they are wrong. I think Sydney Powell is a lunatic but the fact remains her arguments weren't found false, they were an accumulation of affidavits.

Telling people to use the 1st Amendment peacefully isn't inciting anything unless you're a lunatic.

Peacefully is a word, he's not inciting violence whatsoever. This is now the new "thought-crime" Orwell-style leftism.

I would make further comments but why confuse truth with facts. (Sorry that's a Biden reference if you didn't know)

Why? I think there is every chance he can. Teams have literally gameplanned around taking that away this season and he has still gone for over 1k. I think his passing numbers going forward will look more like 2020 than 2019 but I don't expect any real drop off in the run game. I think 900-1200 yards most seasons is a perfectly realistic expectation.

I don't think it's the gameplanning as you can't stop him, it's just that he's going to wear out or get injured.

I don't think a guy who is not built like a bull can take more than 3 years at this level without wearing down 5% which is more than enough to make him from Superman to great and great isn't enough to run for 1,000 yards+ when you're 27 after 6 years of football as a QB. He needs to push that number down to 600-800 yards and pass better or he'll wear out his body.

It's not that 500 yards isn't that much, it's the extra hits in practice, harder workouts, and a body not made like a RB.

Usain Bolt gave an interview explaining how the body peaks around 24-25 athletically and he realized he was slowing down in his late 20's. This is a guy who doesn't get hit. Many athletes say the same.

Jackson runs twice as much as Randall Cunningham who hit his rushing wall at 27. McNair 25, and Vick 26.

    There you go https://sportsfinda.com/top-10-running-quarterbacks-in-nfl-history/

Most running QBs don’t last because they suck.  The good running QBs last because they’re good

Kaep didn’t last because he sucked

young didnt last because he sucked

Cunningham played like 15+ years and had his best season in his 13th year

Correct a handful out of decades only a few, thank you for making my point.

Steve Young didn't suck, although I think you thought I was referring to Vince Young so no biggie.

Cunningham played best when he didn't run much. What's "best" from Cunningham to Vick was when they couldn't run as much and got better in the pocket.

You still avoided the elephant in the room which is that Lamar went down statistically in every category from passing to rushing. Even if he has a bounce back year statistically in passing there is no way he can continue to run for 1k yards for 2-3 more years. He either improves in the pocket drastically or finds himself too expensive to be a starter but I agree with you that he's the best athlete we'll ever see in a QB for a long time. He's a great player.

If Lamar could develop into a better pocket passer he has the potential of continuing in the league. My point remains that no great running QB lasted long rushing for a ton of yards without transforming into a pocket passer almost exclusively.

  6. 10 minutes ago, NewEra said:

who like I asked before:  WHO?  Which running QBs are you talking about other than RG3?  Tyrod?  Who??

All of them: Vick, Cunningham, Kaep, Young and every other name. Name me one that lasted long as a runner. Name me a RB who last 8 years over 1,000 yards and you'll find only a handful and he's not built like Emmitt or Barry. If RBs struggle to do it, and only a few have and that's their only job, I highly doubt a more slender QB can last.

He already has worse stats than last year in every category.

Did you watch his rally before the riot they they incited? It's the definition of inviting a riot.

I don't remember him telling them to riot or take over Congress. I do remember him doing his talking points: 1. Robbed during and election 2. We're the same so they are stealing from you and more blah blah blah stuff

Was there something else I missed? I ask sincerely. By that definition anything could be considered incitement so I want clarity not guilt by association.

Oh sure, we should just let it go when a President encourages his cult to try to violently thwart the democratic process. What could go wrong if that goes unpunished.

The dude belongs behind BARS. JAIL. PRISON.

I don't like Trump but is there any proof he "encourages his cult to violently..." do anything? Please cite a source if you could.

And you also can’t compare Lamar Jackson to any other running qb not named Michael Vick.  Not one of them could run like them. They are on another level as a runner.

Agreed that Lamar is a better runner and on another level, but all runners have short shelf lives, especially thinner guys. Even Vick wasn't as great of a runner when he returned.

Stamina, speed, and being worn down is a reality you can't avoid with age.

My point is he's generational in what he's able to do, but the human body can take only so much punishment unless you are equated his athleticism to bodily integrity. He won't be able to do what he's doing at 30 sustainably. No one has and no one could.

  11. 48 minutes ago, NewEra said:

Michael Vick had his best season at 30.

    For several reasons:

    1. Reid was his coach

    2. His passes were significantly more accurate in Reid's system

    3. He didn't play for a couple of years

In other words you can't compare them unless you want to sit Jackson for 2 years and hope he makes it to 30 and Vick was out for most of the season when he was younger from injury.

You realize you are calling Tre White, myself, and the other 100+ million Democrats Nazis.

Kindly ***** off and enjoy phinshaven.

So when Biden calls the right the work of Goebbels a few days ago; with the left seeking to ban free speech, make a list of political enemies, and uses the term Nazi constantly I'll wait for you to call out the left you hypocrite.

Frankly neither party are Nazis, but if one side was leaning totalitarian it isn't the conservatives who want more speech, more liberty and to some degree I think Trump was bad for the movement as he polarized people into seeing the left as enemies.

But strangely it has come to that either way: people are attacked for their race (the left), push for indoctrination for beliefs (left), have ZERO transparency (left), and own the megaphones (most of the media and schools).

Trump was merely a reaction to Americans losing liberties with his bravado, but he wasn't entirely wrong, and that lies his attraction.

  13. He banned news outlets...

He was so racist that other races want to move here...

He made a list of political opponents and doxxed them...

He created a list of opponents using slogans like "hate" and phobia"

Started witch trials against his opposition

You get the point. He wasn't a Nazi, but the left certainly is, and while I wasn't his fan I find it humorous as a new regime comes in the same thing they accuse Trump of is exactly what they plan on doing.

    Crackdown on speech? Check

Crackdown on anyone who supported him? Check

    Create up fake crimes? Check

Trump had many weaknesses, and the 1 time he stoked flames of resentment over the election the libs want complete political control and lock-downs on accounts he and his followers must be burned... But that Barack had cities burning stoking resentment and got a pass.

Aw, poor rightwing snowflakes!   Neither you nor the Traitor in Chief have a God-given right throw a violent temper tantrum whenever you don't get what you want.

Trump lost the election by 7 million popular votes and 64 electoral college votes.   Trump and his sycophants failed to prove a single case of widespread election fraud in more than 60 court cases.  Trump's attempts to cajole/bribe/threaten state election officials to change lawfully cast and counted votes failed. Trump's insurrection last Tuesday failed to prevent Biden from being certified as winner of the 2020 presidential election.   Nobody showed up to protest at Twitter HQ today.

It's time for your ilk to suck it up ... or face the consequences.

    The cases didn't disprove fraud.

The problem is there is video footage of fraud, testimony from people who aren't Rs, statistical anomalies that can't be explained, and the lack of transparency got people upset.

Rs don't riot, they vote, and if they think they can't vote and win what other voice do they have? I'm not saying Biden won, he may have won, but for the sake of keeping that side of the US happy why not run an audit? Why is transparency such a terrible thing?

Trump allowed China to gain this power.

Actually it was the Rs and the Ds doing backroom deals. China grew huge under Clinton, Bush and Obama. Trump was the only president to consider them an actual problem (to his credit).

Oh and your quote is not how countries actually work unless you believe in WW3.

Read the quote just above mine from Frankish Reich it's very good.
