Most know 'pass defended' and 'interception' could be misleading in comparing cornerbacks because when cornerbacks are in good position to defend, quarterbacks may not throw the pass and go to their next reads.
In the same note, are 'pass defended' and 'interception' really good stats to evaluate safeties?
BTW, even though Hyde has a drop-off in 'passed defneded' and 'int', he was ranked quite high in several rankings: For example: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/top-safeties-in-the-nfl/

Hope they are evaluating for contract extension and, after they somehow beat the injured Broncos, BOOM, 5 year extension for Gase. 😉

By Jets forum standard, Jets are actually 2-0 by winning the first game 17-27 and the second game 13-31. Yes, in Jets fans' mind, final scores don't matter and records can be made up.
I guess it's about time for their fans to start a petition to extend Gase for 20 years with 100% control of personnel? 😉

Many are 5-yard WR out pattern to sideline. Darnold was 21/32 for 179 yards yesterday while 74 yards were from the garbage time with 3:07 left in the game trailing 7-31 and 49ers in prevent D. He was 16/27 (59%) for 105 yards before then. It's really weird that his performance could be considered better.

No, this is not about the audible Josh made, which most is aware of and is definitely one of the best takeaways from the play. There are few other things that I also really like in that play:
- Diggs was run-blocking the only defender could tackle Brown.
- Brown recognized Diggs' run block and thanked him right after the play. (Josh mentioned that in his post game interview)
- During the post game press when asked about that play, Josh brought up that his throw wasn't great and Brown "picked it up from the floor". Even though he made the right audible and resulted in a touchdown, he not only doesn't take the credit but also acknowledges what he didn't do well. That what great players do to always look for areas to improve.
