I’m telling you the Bears are just sitting back and watching their opponents do things to them.  I’ve never seen a more passive defense in my life.

The Edmunds effect. I’ve never been happier to see him leave. Watching Bernard has been a blessing to see what real LBs are supposed to play like.

Sorry having trouble with Brian Congelios X link so here’s the info

Here is a look at each defensive unit's blitz % compared to sack %.

The #BillsMafia are scary, with the lowest 'Blitz %' in the league, but the highest 'Sack %'

The #Giants blitz the most in the #NFL, but have the 2nd lowest 'Sack %'

And what are the #Bears doing?!

Yeh what the heck are the Bears doing?

    amen

Btw I flew into Buffalo/Niagara last week and the ground personnel weren’t even ready for our scheduled flight. It took them over 40 minutes to get the tarmac and stuff ready for us to deplane.

    The people almost rioted

My condolences. I’ve had similar pain out of Buf. Sat on the tarmac for 2 and a half hours one January waiting for the plane to de-ice. Halfway through the process and the equipment took a *****. We had to wait until it was resolved.

Totally agree. what are they thinking? They will never make it off the plane first. At most, they move up a few rows and then get blocked. But then it screws up the flow for everyone else. Drives me crazy.

I will gladly take those cutters over someone who repeatedly craps their pants the whole flight like they ate at an all you can eat roadside gas station buffet.

I left in 2020. When someone asks me what Buffalo is like, I dont always have the best things to say. There's some resentment there (thats on me), but i also won't let someone not from the area talk down on it. It's complicated and some of these posts made me miss it... then I remembered whats coming yalls way pretty soon here lol I dont even own a coat anymore 🤣

Raised in the area and know how you feel. While the people are indeed friendly for the most part, the area itself doesn’t have very many redeeming qualities. People here will try and sugar coat it and protect the image, but it’s just simply a coping mechanism. There aren’t many people that LOVE 6-7 months of crappy weather when you can live in places that don’t even require a coat. While I like to go back and visit family and friends, I’d be hard pressed to ever settle back down there.

Like I said in another thread, Josh Allen learned a new way to win today......and looked good doing it.

The additions of Kincaid and Torrence have been huge....forget this McD doesn't play rookies stuff....these two have been plugged into the starting lineup from minute one, and already seem to be playing like seasoned vets.

The three-headed monster at RB worked out great today as all three of them bring different skills to the table.

I'm excited to see how this offense continues to progress over the course of the season.

I really enjoyed watching how Josh operated the offense today....the more of that we see, the more successful the Bills will be.

I expect Kincaid to get more and more targets as Allen gets more comfortable with him as the season moves along. It’s great that he’s flashing early.

  7. It’s amazing what happens when you take what the defense gives you. Allen was definitely surgeon like, and I apologize for being so critical the other week. As long as Allen keeps his head on straight, we will be nearly unstoppable. It’s almost as if McD really got into his ear over the week, because it was night and day with how focused he played.

Nice to see a Shakir sighting, and it’s good to see Kincaid get more involved. Our 3 headed monster feasted, and our physical backs like Harris and Murray is a nice addition that we lacked last year. It was very noticeable later in the game when the defense was playing tired, just kept gashing them and there wasn’t much they could do about it.

Hopefully Davis can carry over his performance and become a consistent option. It was nice seeing him have a good game for a change. At home we have been averaging 30+ points, so it’s good to see we are still hanging around our expected benchmark.

I just hope everyone stays healthy this year.

  8. Figured I’d make a general thread on defense and offense for the year for everyone to kind of discuss on the overall performance.

So far I’m very pleased with how our defense has been performing. Playing well and we still don’t have Miller yet. I really hope the injury to Floyd isn’t serious and he doesn’t miss much time. Same with Phillips, hope his healthy improves.

I’ve been pretty impressed with the emergence of Ed Oliver, he has been very noticeable so far, and I hope he continues to shine. Rousseau is also coming into his own, he sets the edge extremely well, even if he can’t get to the QB at times. With his length and skills, he’s always a threat to tip the ball and create INTs like he did today. White had a better game today as well.

If we keep playing like this, we will definitely be contenders.

So which is it?  Allen can't make chicken salad or Davis isn't a real #2?

A little bit of both perhaps. I don’t consider Allen as elite as Mahomes, because Mahomes has proven to be able to work with subpar WRs. Allen needs help.
