I still think they’re most likely to take a WR that makes these guys expendable. A Shenault, Hamler, Bowden, etc. A guy with versatility and/ teams value. The big outside WR doesn’t seem to be a priority. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if they grabbed Claypool.

KJ Hamler might be the only pick at 54 that I’d be upset about.

Just a general comment regarding the draft and what occurred last night. Seemingly the tech aspect was handled well no gaffs which I was glad to see.

One theme throughout the night was going very personal into a players past or struggles, what he has overcome aka pulling at our heartstrings effect. That's okay but in the case of Love the way the NFL brought up his fathers suicide right at the cusp of arguably this young mans greatest achievement/moment in life I thought was in very poor taste, exploitive and not appropriate. I just didn't like that. Some things a person has the right to keep private. The way they went on and on "oh maybe it was due to his blood pressure meds" seriously??? SMH

Yeah I found the segment on Love’s dad to be extremely strange.

seeing tweets that aaron rodgers is a little pissed they took a qb.

Yeah I’d be pissed if I were a GB fan but I’m sure a lot of them hated the Rodgers pick too when they had Favre. But why Love this year? Seems like it would make more sense to wait it out and only take a QB in round 1 if Rodgers was on his absolute last legs.

Since it didn’t happen - it is somewhat irrelevant, but to answer this:

The most likely Minshew result is average play.  Minshew is good enough for 5 to 6 wins - much like Fitzy - I think he puts you out of range for Lawerence, but it is not good enough to win long term.

Yeah it’s a tough spot for Jax, he looked surprisingly good last year so you gotta give him a chance to see if he actually can be a solid starter. But yeah it’s going to take them out of the Trevor Lawrence hunt. Early favourites have to be Washington, Carolina, Detroit. I’m worried about the Jets coming in last and getting him too.

Which book you seeing that CeeDee lamb prop?

Sports Interaction, I believe it’s only available in Canada and New Jersey.

Its down to 1.44 for Lamb now.

The dolphins could have just not played Fitzpatrick, been the worst team in the league, drafted burrow while keeping their million draft picks and been one of the best teams in the league in two years.

Fitzmagic was definitely a bad tanking decision but would have been hard to top the Bengals this past year. They even sat Dalton for a much worse QB and it paid off.

  7. Daniel Jeremiah has Tristan Wirfs going to NYG at 4. Gettleman rarely trades and everyone knew they'd pick Saquon in 2018 and Daniel Jones last year. I'm placing bets on this. I've seen several sources connecting Wirfs to the Giants.

Also, Ceedee Lamb is now the favoured WR to be first off the board. He was paying 2-1 but now it's 1.71-1.

I’m happy that he feels enough conviction and has enough confidence to pull the trigger on going to get players that he wants.

That being said, he had SIGNIFICANTLY more “draft capital” to work with in the previous 2 drafts.  I do think he will try to use 5th-7th round picks to move up in the 3rd or 4th round.  I don’t think he will want to part with his 3rd or 4th to move up in round 2, but I would trust his judgment if he does.

I could see him moving those later picks too. It’s more about quality over quantity at this point, we have a quality roster and only so many openings next year. Plus they’ve been good with their undrafted players too (Wallace, Foster) so we can sacrifice the later picks.

Unless the Chargers leap them and grab Tua. Or maybe Miami wants Tua and Chargers want Herbert, neither would have to move and they’d get their guy. But they can’t really discuss that with each other and show their cards in case they want the same guy. This is like some Game Theory stuff here. I love the draft.
