  1. John Brown has always been injury prone, I have a hard time seeing him living up to his contract next season.  The issue with cutting him is that I don't see how we replace him with another free agent who we'll have to overpay for. How is this year's wide receiver draft class? That might be the only option here.

Yeah, I heard this and I was just shaking my had.  Could you imagine if they set this precedent?  Where do you draw the line.  Delay every playoff game until all the players are 100% healthy? Just QB's? Just "star" QB's? if someone gets hurt in the Championship game do you delay the Super Bowl?  Rubbish.

I love how he says ‘why not?’ at the end, there’s a million reasons why this would never happen.

3 - Wind - The 3rd most important factor in this game had to be the wind.  Watching on TV, you could see some of the flags in the stadium not moving at all, while others were completely blowing sideways.  For those who weren't around in the earlier days when they talked about the swirling winds in January, this is what we were talking about.  The wind wreaked havoc on both kickers, leading to a 2 for 6 performance.  Both QB's missed wide open deep shots that are believed to have been lost in the jet stream.  There were even a few shotgun snaps that you could see the wind affect it's path.  The strong legged Bojo punted one into a wall of wind.  It affected both teams, so that advantage was neutralized, but it did make me think about one thing.  If this is going to be the Bills offense for the next 15 years, do I dare say we want a stadium that isn't going to slow us down?  We aren't a Thurman led team that can rely on our rushing attack in these conditions.  If it truly were the wind, wouldn't you rather have a dome and have Allen hit Diggs early on that touchdown bomb?

Anyone know if there were any Tyler Bass interviews after the game?

Both kicks that he missed basically went straight as an arrow, I'm thinking he adjusted for the wind but they just didn't change direction. OR he just straight up missed them. I'm betting we will need him to land some big kicks against KC so hopefully he crushes them.

    I have this one thought stuck in my gut;

    People are underrating our defense.

I know some of the numbers from the season are a bit off, but i think they are better than the numbers and have a finest hour within them. I really feel like our defense is going to be the hero for us and bring it.

Our defense was quite bad up until our week 11 bye, they played decent D against the Jets both games but most of the other games were bad. We had a couple turnovers in games that really saved us (Norman forced fumble on Waller vs Oakland, and Zimmer forced fumble on Cam Newton).

Then after the bye we were solid against Chargers, San Fran, Pittsburgh, Denver, New England, and Miami. We pretty much locked all those teams down no problem.

They did not look good against the Colts though, part of this was probably due to the Colts O-line being very good. But I agree, our defense has actually been good lately and are being underrated just because of the bad game against the Colts. I think we can definitely stop Lamar too, that's all we have to do really, he cannot throw the ball.

The fans wanted Rosen .. so I don't think the organizations (at least the good ones) care. They know if they can build a good team that wins .. the fans will forget how mad they were at the organization for "botching" a draft pick. Anybody still mad we took Allen over Rosen. There were people who swore they were done with this team ... I highly suspect they have managed their way back :)

Tank for Tua was a big thing for Dolphins fans though, I feel like they would have rioted if Herbert was the pick over Tua.  I bet that was in their minds when they made the pick.

    TJ Yeldon's Bills career:

4.9 yards per attempt and 10.4 yards per reception. 6.8 yards per touch.

27 rushes, 127 yards. 14 receptions, 146 yards receiving. 2 fumbles (obviously not great), and 1 TD.

I posted this in the Freeman thread but it probably belongs here. Yeldon is obviously not a world beater, but come on. He hasn't been bad here in his limited snaps. I'll accept fumbles as an argument, but it's too flukey for me.

I remember him losing a fumble last year against Cincinnati but I don't remember the fumble this year. It happened against Tennessee but I don't remember it at all, he didn't lose the ball on that one at least.

Thank God Miami took Tua instead of Herbert.

I'd love to hear the Miami war room debate about Tua vs Herbert last year. Miami fans were absolutely dying to get Tua and would have been crushed if they took Herbert. I wonder if the fan's craziness for Tua had anything to do with the pick, or am I just dumb for thinking the teams care what the fans want...?

  8. Allen should get paid the most and the longest term. Does Baltimore want to give Lamar a 10 year deal? That seems very risky for them given his style of play, something like a 4 year deal would make more sense.

I think Mayfield is pretty average but he’ll probably get significantly overpaid like most QBs.

I don’t think Allen gets Mahomes money unless he wins the Super Bowl, then give him whatever he wants.

I think part of it is because he is such a fierce competitor that he doesn't want to give up on plays.  That plus another factors is that the other side identifies him as a fumbler and they work hard to knock it out of his grasp.

Yeah most QBs would have just taken the sack on the play where he fumbled and it would be over. Allen just will not give up though, it's great but can be an issue too. Just gotta accept that this can happen but he often breaks free and makes a huge play.

Does anyone know the status of Zach Moss?

I've only seen speculation that he is likely done for the playoffs with the ankle injury.

I thought blocking was one of his strong points..
