This is better reasoned and argued than simply “we should trade up.” I can see the argument for sure, but again, it depends upon how the picks fall and what their board looks like. I’m serious, being in their draft room, seeing their board and hearing how this all goes down would be near the top of the pyramid on bucket list items. I mean, how AWESOME would that be?
This is good food for thought.
I once was asked in an interview “if you could be anywhere, where would you choose”? I said “in the Buffalo Bills war room on draft day”.- 3

Can a player (Singletarty) significantly increase his speed in the offseason or is it “he’s a 4.66 guy forever”?

NFL combine standouts at TE, WR, and QB.
Nice article.

Josh Jacobs went 24. Any similarities?

I would be extremely disappointed if we do not take two.
Claypool and Hamler.

But Claypool isn’t a fat woman. This is my main crush at receiver this year. He is constantly improving. Plus, he’s gone through a lot and has been a model student athlete. https://strongofheart.nd.edu/profiles/chase-claypool-2017/
since the Bills never get players I want, I assume we won’t get him. But as someone who’s only Jersey Is andre reed, I will buy a Claypool Jersey. That’s a solid $50 Bills. Make it happen.
Well, if you want him, let me know. The last 2 years I wanted Ed Oliver and Josh Allen. I haven't zeroed on one yet for this year's draft. So far, I am thinking a trade up for Ruggs or maybe a slight trade up (if needed to get ahead of Philly) for Claypool. However, if a top OT or DE starts dropping, that would sway my opinion.

I was thinking that he looked like Kelvin Benjamin, but KB ran a 4.61 40. I’m not sure what would be better.....a big fast guy like Claypool or a small super fast guy like Ruggs.

This should be part of the half time show. Maybe this could be a candidate for our Renegade hype song?

Awesome listen. I’m fired up for the season. I could listen to Jordan Palmer talk about Josh Allen all day.

I'm not a big mach drafter, but isn't Mel Kiper, Jr usually wrong?
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Kiper will have so many mocks between now and the actual draft, that he can go back to say "I told you so".

The Buffalo Bills are going to let free agent defensive tackle Jordan Phillips test free agency this spring reports John Wawrow of the Associated Press. While both sides “enjoyed his two seasons in Buffalo”, they don’t expect to stay together for a third or beyond.
“[The] thinking behind decision is question of how much Bills can spend because they have to focus on re-signing others,” continued Wawrow.
We projected that this was how the story was going to play out when we looked at Phillips in January. With Ed Oliver ready to step up in his second season and be the lead 3-tech, there was no need to re-sign Phillips to a massive free agent contract.
Thanks for posting. I didn’t hear the entire presser, so thanks for the article. Seems that Beane and company are so tight lipped in FA and the Draft, that any additional info is appreciated.

I usually roll my eyes at the "trade down a bunch and accumulate extra picks!" suggestions. This year, I think it would be a fantastic idea.
Where the Bills are sitting, at pick 22, if they could trade down a couple times and accumulate picks in the 2nd and 3rd round, they should. It looks like they're going to miss out on the top few WRs and Edge rushers any way, so they might as well get down into that 2nd and 3rd round "sweet spot" for WRs, DBs, and the last of the good edge rushers.
In any case, I don't think it's an accident or coincidence that the Bills have spent so much time and effort scouting this kid. We'll see soon enough, I guess. It will be really interesting to see how he performs at the combine. A great performance could push him up into the bottom of the 1st round.Trade down some. Take Dugger higher than he's expected to go, but at least you get your guy, if he is their guy. Then they could package their 2nd round pick and add a pick they got in the trade down, to move to the top of the 2nd and pick-up the best available player, who may be an Edge or WR. Extra picks will allow them to move around a lot, if they want to target a player or 2; that is one of Beane's specialties. The Patriots could take this guy higher than expected; they always seem to do that.

Wonder if they could trade down a little, get some extra picks, and take him with their first pick. He sure looks like a man among boys.

Can someone explain the cap situation to me? I didn't see it anywhere in this thread.

No doubt. I’d never post a simple highlight and say “see: this is our guy!!!” That one play, though, is perhaps the definitive example of how absurdly fast this dude is.Any chance that Ruggs make it to #22? If not, is he worth trading up for, or just stay put and take the best available WR? I would love to see the Bills get 2 WRs in this draft or at least 1 young VET WR (Cooper, Anderson, Perriman) and one in the 1st round.
Possibility of trading up to #16 (Atlanta)

I think Beane would only trade up to # 16 for Chaisson. I hope he does. Not sure that he’ll be there though. He will add much needed speed / pass rush ability to the DL. He’s a freaky beast. He’s the guy I’m honing in on as the Bills 1st round target.
