I love seeing how this team is so encouraging of each other. Watching Diggs go up to the guys right after each TD they get, the O-Line support, the Safeties always having each others’ backs. This team is special
Every team does that sort of thing

I’m not sure Tremaine is instinctive or physical enough to stay in the middle. He doesn’t have to be a Ray Lewis intimidating type of presence, but he does need to be a sure tackler and physical. He’s a coverage linebacker and that’s fine, but I’d play him on the outside next season.
Agreed. He spends so much energy running all over the field while but not making big plays.

Great thoughts. You can't say the Bills are boring!!!

And the hits just keep on coming. Ugh.
While I know many are down on Knox, I see him as rather valuable and believe this could have been a big game for him. Sucks he’s out.
If Yeldon hits the field, I will be interested to see how Daboll works him into the game plan as he’s wicked dangerous catching out of the backfield (hearkening back to his Bama days).
TJY will have a big day!

Arrogance? What are you talking about? The bills just got investigated for not having a player on the injury report last year, so they are going to put everything on there this year, even if it is minor.
I'd say get over it, but it sounds like you made up your mind about McDermott long ago.
A little bit of arrogance by a Bills coach after all the years of losing sounds OK to me

A gentlemen and a great player. His type of NFL personalities are missed.

Taron and Levi are not the answer. I'm sorry but they don't pass the eyeball test. Having a healthy Norman would help but his age cannot be ignored. We are definitely drafting CB/DE early next April. Our 2nd best cover guy can't be a LB.
I feel the same about the eyeball test. They are a step slow and don't read patterns well.

Wallace sucks. Anyone who watched the games last season could see that. I would have much rather kept Kevin Johnson over this scrub, but it wasn't an either/or situation unfortunately. It sucks that he's out on the field again but like an earlier poster stated, it's encouraging that the Bills realized this and did try to upgrade with the Norman and Gaines signings.
McVay is going to pick on him relentlessly Sunday and it could get ugly. Hopefully McDermott has a plan for this.
I agree about Wallace. There was a reason he wasn't drafted. He will be picked on all season regardless of the LB's who play.
9 hours ago, Mango said:Meh, hate is a strong word, sure they don't hate him. But Wallace was picked on quite a bit last year at CB2. They were so not thrilled with his play that they didn't just bring in one guy to replace him, they brought in 2. Wallace isn't supposed to be starting, he should be CB4 when it comes to playing on the outside in this defense with both Norman and Gaines in front of him on the depth chart.
He's definitely a CB4

He has a quota to hit on here weekly.
Why not comment on the post rather than the poster?
he's afraid or feels insecure in the situation and by making the negative comments he makes himself feel better or more in control of the situation. - he's using the negative comments about the other person to make you not believe anything the other person has said or done.
So true!!

NOTHING to do with tenacious defense by #39?! I agree that Williams should have caught the pass, but it's likely Wallace's play made that more difficult to do.
"tenacious" ? He got beat on the play and the receiver dropped the pass. That play would have cost us the game.

He was clearly the weak link in the Bills defense last season. This year he's the pick-on CB as exemplified by Fitzpatrick's throws to his side. He's always around the ball but can't make the big plays. He leads the team in tackles but that's because he can't cover receivers and has to tackle them. He's has just 4.63 speed which is below average for a starting NFL CB.
He's a great story as a walk-on at Alabama and an undrafted free agent starting for the Bills. I like the guy.
It's getting to the point he has to be replaced as a starter. If you're waiting for Josh Norman he was widely acclaimed as one of the worst CB's in the NFL last season by many sources.. Supposedly our system will make him better?
Maybe a trade to get a legitimate CB starter?
GO BILLS!

So Agree! So many Bills fans are just starving for team attention. Just win the big games in the play-offs and you'll get all the attention.

Before beginning I want to say, I am THRILLED over the moon at what we are seeing from Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, the offense in general and at times the defense. What we COULD see here can potentially be VERY special for the next few years.
Having said this...
New England showed me last night by coming razor close to winning in Seattle that this is still a team we have to contend with. Newton looks different under a top coaching staff. Defense yes has holes but we all know Bill generally figures things out for his defense as things go along.
Talent is huge in sports as we know, but so is the mental aspect, and I still believe deep down inside New England Patriots, despite losing Brady, Gronk and other starters, still have a mental edge over the Buffalo Bills organization, until proven otherwise.
McDermott and the coaching staff have been excellent, but have had mixed results against the upper tier coaches in the NFL at least for now. Especially against Belichick. While last year we proved that we are very close to knocking through that door and taking command of the AFC East, and I am FULLY confident the Bills can get over that hurdle, I am still taking this mindset until we truly knock them off, New England is the team to beat.
Josh is going to have to pass for 300+ yards to beat them. I don't think our D is good enough against a Bill B team.

For missing the qb of his defense- I can’t hate the result
He also has one hand tied behind his back with Wallace starting at CB

Was Levi Wallace playing hurt?

I have been waiting for this day when everybody else figured out they picked the wrong quarterback and for once Buffalo picked the right one. This is a glorious day my friends enjoy
Now Josh should get his big-time National commercials

McDermott's scheme doesn't run through the DEs. It runs through the MLB and CBs. We struggled today because we were missing starters at both positions. Hopefully Edmunds is back next week and Norman the following week.
If Norman can't play much this year they should trade for a true starting CB. Wallace is just awful and was last year!

Josh Allen is very good 70% of the time, elite 20% of the time, and ‘WTF WERE YOU THINKING’ 10% of the time.
He may be a knucklehead for 10% of the snaps — but he’s our knucklehead!
Love it!!!!!

I just don’t want a coach to get in his ear to the point where Josh starts losing that edge. The old “no negative plays” mantra has ruined too many QBs.
Great comment & observation!

Like I said to my dad after the game last week, he sure as hell is fun to watch. Even with the “bad”. Football should be entertainment and we were living on the diet version (being generous) for about 20 years. Give me that huge burger and throw the bacon on top, maybe even a fried egg! health be damned!
Love it - -this is what I'm trying to say!!

I'm not perfect either. I thought I could just express my thoughts about the Bills. Josh is a different player than most NFL QB's. That's all I wanted to say. Sorry.
