I just hope this means we’re not going after Akers. Just stick with what you have at RB.

Not sure why the 49ers did this. They aren't going anywhere
Shanahan knows he can’t win based off Jimmy’s arm and they don’t want to run Deebo into the ground. I’m expecting a heavy run/screen passing offense now with CMC in the backfield.

Member when the bills were trying to get watt? Pretty happy we ended up with von
Watt was full of *****. He wasn’t looking for a contender. He was looking for a team that was stupid enough to pay him the big bucks and he found it in Arizona.

precisely why I don’t like Kelce’s gameGesecki isn’t on kelce’s level. Also Gesecki is having a down year this season and is only being traded because he can’t understand McDaniel’s playbook.

Cam Ackers is available. Not sure if he is better than what we have here, but may be able to keep him beyond this year as I think (without looking up) he has another yr on rookie contract
Akers is garbage. I watched the rams/Dallas game and he couldn’t read their defense worth of *****. There was a certain play where the O line created a hole on the left side for him to run through and he chose to run to the right where there was no hole and got stuffed dead in his tracks. Might as well keep what we have if we’re showing interest in Akers.

KC just freed up some cap space by reworking Kelce’s deal. Hmmmm could that be for OBJ? I don’t see them being interested in McCaffrey
I doubt obj is going to KC.

The mediocrity of these AFC West teams continues to be one of the most surprising things going on this season. Wasn't Herbert supposed to challenge Allen this year?
I think Herbert is overrated. Granted LA has some really bad coaching but Herbert isn’t what the media hyped him up to being

Unfortunately for him, they are screwing up their draft position by winning meaningless games. They may not even make the playoffs. They have to contend with the Eagles and Cowboys in their division.
Cowboys are a mess all together. Neither Dak or Cooper are any good and Elliott is washed up. Eagles they’ll have a tough time at playing against. But I agree, Daboll and company are screwing up this teams future

I mean is Jones really that special that what the Giants are doing is telling you Daboll is a QB whisperer? He hasn’t thrown for over 2TDs or 217 yards all season. The Giants aren’t winning because Jones, they are winning with good defense and the best RB (comeback player of the year) in Barkley
Daniel Jones stats so far 1,021 total passing yards 5 tds and 2 INTS. To put it nicely he’s a below average game manager at best. The real test will be when they draft a QB and Daboll has to develop him from the ground up.

I think Miami makes sense. I don’t see SF giving up on Lance yet, 3 1st round picks is a hard pill to swallow and give up on him.
I don’t think he would go to Indy, they are pretenders, not real contenders.
I think it was rumored he was interested in Miami especially after they acquired Hill from KC also they have a good young coach that the players seem to rally behind. Also no tax in Florida is something that would sell Rodgers on going to play down there.

I think you are dead wrong on that. I could absolutely see a contender who loses their QB try to swing that, the problem is going to be the contract. It would probably require the Packers converting all the salary to bonus and paying it out before trading him to make it work for another team. If Stafford went down, I could see the Rams going for it. You have to look at the windows of opportunity that some teams have and think it might be worth it.
Wilson got a great return for Seattle, and Denver ponied up big money to him… regrettably at this point.. teams get desperate.
Teams I can see him going to next year if he’s still playing and wants out of GB are Miami, Indy, maybe he goes back home to SF if they’re interested and if they don’t move forward with either Jimmy G or Lance.

Except the rams are not a good team anymore and outside of Kupp, there’s no one really worth a damn on that offense. No running game as Akers is rumored to be getting into it with McVay now and you have a trade bust in Allen Robinson. Plus their defense is old and most players are becoming washed up

He said it himself, he’s old and ***** hurts. He has absolutely nobody to work with outside of a pair of decent RBs. The Packers screwed him year after year in terms of bringing in talent, I think he took them to the shed on his last contract and doesn’t give a crap anymore.
Then he should’ve retired. This is the same bull#### that Rothlesberger was pulling for almost 3-4 on Pittsburgh before he finally walked away. If your already thinking about life after football then your’e already retired, the moment you stopped giving a ***** about your team as a whole, your’e already retired. Some guys just don’t know when/how to walk away. One thing I’ll give Kelly is he knew when it was time to walk away. Especially after he admitted after Hull retired he didn’t have much interest playing on Sundays anymore.

What’s wrong with him? You mean beside him being a crying baby POS?
well, he decided he wanted a $50m/yr contract and the packers had no choice but to let Adams go because they couldn’t pay him. So the answer is, Rodgers has nobody to throw to. He should rot in his decisions and look terrible for the rest of his days until he walks off the field for the last time with his stupid hair.
oh, and if we want to start the same thread and ask what’s wrong with Devonte Adams, we can just swap out their names and contract numbers and it still holds true.
It’s funny I told my brother ( who’s a raiders fan) that Adams wouldn’t be as effective without Aaron throwing the ball to him and that Rodgers wouldn’t be as good without Devante bailing him out like he used to. Both theories have been proven right so far.

I think Rodgers might not believe in this teams vision when it comes to roster construction, and how to build a winner.
They have taken away from his weapons, and drafted his apparent replacement years before they should have.
I would've asked to be traded long ago if I was him
Except nobody in the NFL would be willing to give up what the packers would want back in draft capital & player trade. Plus I doubt anyone would want to deal with his diva attitude and ego

Dead cap #s of over $97 million in 2023 & over $81 million in 2024 means he'll be there for a while.

New GM might try and see what he can do restructure wise but that’s pretty gnarly though lol. Arizona is going to be in trouble unless they find a coach that has a better system that can make Kyler a better player.
-
Simple, he doesn’t give a ***** anymore. I was reading some of the packers fans comments and most want him traded off the team. He has zero drive and desire, he can’t move like he used to and like Russell Wilson he doesn’t want to take any contact/pops. He probably knows he isn’t going to the SB ever again so he squeezed all the money he could get out of GB in compensation.
1 hour ago, LeGOATski said:1. Lack of talent (Adams would obviously make a huge difference)
2. LaFleur. I think we have an adequate sample size now showing that this GB coaching staff is good, certainly an upgrade from McCarthy, but it's hindered by their maligned relationship with Rodgers and what seems to be a lack of team-building ability.
3. Age. Each year is going to get tougher for Rodgers.
Yeah Rodgers isn’t going to last into his mid 40s like Brady has. And even Brady looks 100 percent done this season. Now’s the time for LaFleur to see what they have in Love and to see if they need to draft another QB in 23 which is supposed to be a QB heavy class

No team in their right freaking mind is trading for that albatross of a contract.
Maybe they’ll cut him or make him restructure his contract and then trade him off. Kind of like the denver situation with Russell, I fully believe Kyler has lost that locker room and respect of his teammates. Notice how he’s played like utter ***** since signing that extension.
Christian McCaffrey traded to the 49ers for multiple 2nd day draft picks

Exactly. Giving up that much capital for a guy who’s only had 2 decent years out of the 6 years he’s been in the league
