Priorities ......
Rep. Mark Green (R-TN), Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, says the guidance is an insult to agents begging for more resources to combat the illegal immigration crisis at the border.
“Border Patrol agents are crying out for tools and policies that will help them do their jobs, but are being handed manuals on misgendering instead,” Green told The Daily Wire. “This makes a mockery of those who are doing their best to keep our borders secure.” ......“I’m sure, however, Americans will be comforted to know that those agents are now being trained on which pronouns these bad actors prefer.”
Looking forward to seeing Mayorkas squirm while getting grilled by Committee questions.

I hear that Taron Johnson and Rapp are back, which is amazing news for me. Jackson can wait a few weeks,
Johnson and Rapp both limited as of yesterday's injury report. Per Sal this AM, Johnson has yet to clear the league's concussion protocol.

I feel ridiculously positive about this game. No rhyme or reason to it.
Allen has been under a microscope all season, and there is a bit of a double-standard nationally in terms of how they cover him vs. the other top QB's. I think this is gonna be a "shut up" kind of game for him.
To your point about the double standard:

Nothing about this matchup makes me feel like the Bills have a chance. And I’m not even sure crazier things have happened.
That's it ..... why should they even bother playing the game?

Sure, it's nice that he's back, but he shouldn't have ever left.... where did he go?
IMO it's too late in the season for this... the time to show up was week 1.
Sure, maybe they have a strong finish, but if and that's a big IF, they make the playoffs, they'll have to go on the road and then all we'll hear in the off-season is that they need to get home field advantage.... blah blah blah... it's tiresome.
I'm happy he's "back", but all is not forgiven.
I’m fairly certain Allen won’t be asking for your forgiveness.

Having a tantrum and threatening to not report to the team doesn't strike you as concerning? I guess in these situations, perception is reality. To me, Diggs seems more concerned with Diggs and he's the only guy on the team bringing these types of issues to the locker room.
Again, I will reiterate, McDermott has an issue handling the personalities in the locker room. I guess you can believe the PR spin after the fact but to me, it must be serious if there has to be a PR spin put on it in the first place. 🤷
What tantrum? Hitting the boiling point during a terrible season ending loss after a tumultuous season for the entire organization?
Please post a link documenting a threat to not report to the team. He missed one workout before TC and talked it out with the team.
If Diggs was only concerned with Diggs, he'd be bitching about targets which has not done ... and he'd had already forced his way out.
And I'm not following the Quinton Spain link .... bizarre
Your take sounds right out of the Nick Wright, sh*t-stirring playbook

Ken Dorsey strikes me as the guy who's always angry at work no matter what the situation. I know that the overall mood at OBD is pretty poor right now. McDermott has not been great at managing the personalities on the team. His loyalty to people he has worked with prior has stagnated the team. The situation with Elam comes to mind. Rather than develop young talent, McDermott wants a guy he's coached before or one of his friends in the league coached them or they had dinner together or whatever the case. He is after like minded people because he really struggles with people outside of his comfort zone.
Daboll was a big personality in the building. He built a close relationship with the best player on the team. For better or worse, he was creative. I think he related to the guys in the room better. Guys wanted to play for him. I mean the 13 second Bills had a Super Bowl winning offense. That side of the ball was absolutely unbelievable for most of that year. And I don't think McDermott had a single thing to do with it. And that was an issue.
Diggs has become a toxic and polarizing figure on the team. The mellow drama that has played out with him this offseason and still continues into this week, should have been shut down immediately. But now his brother has created a rift between the franchise quarterback and not just his #1 receiver, but who he considers his best friend. And anyone who's ever held a job knows, these kinds of incidents at work definitely create tension. Everyone will have their own opinion about the situation. And the incidents with Josh on the sidelines. Are those truly harmless interactions? While a great player, I would not think that these would go unchecked by the head coach. The reports this offseason that Diggs may not even report for training camp eluded to a rift between coaches and players, Diggs clearly the figurehead in this situation.
Fraizer was fired. Statistically, coached a top 5 defense in Buffalo. Assistant head coach. A highly respected coach and human being through out the NFL. Coaches typically don't step away from a position where they have been successful. The way it was presented outside of OBD, to me, hints at a power struggle that happened shortly after the end of the season and one that was lost by Fraizer. In my opinion, McDermott not bringing on a new defensive coordinator was a mistake, but it was never about who he felt could coach the defense successfully. It was about power within the organization.
In the press conference, the mentioning of what a great relationship he has with Terry is what should worry all of us the most. He's basically saying to the media, don't bother asking about my status with the company or if I'll be fired, because he knows he won't be. Anyone that questions McDermott has been steamrolled right out of the building. Two very influential coaches in two consecutive offseasons. He puts Ken Dorsey, his guy, in as offensive coordinator. He no longer has an assistant head coach or a defensive coordinator. He already had a great deal of influence when it came to the draft and personnel decisions off the field.
This team is more McDermott's than it ever has been. These press conferences will become more and more unsettled if the team continues to flounder because he has truly run out of scapegoats. Talking about "what's wrong with Josh" might be foreshadowing to who's going to bear the burden of McDermott's failures as a coach and leader this offseason.
Re: Diggs, the only “mellow drama” are posts like this. All the dude wants to do is win and retire as a Bill. And he shut down the chatter around his brother’s idiotic Tweets.

I don't care who the OC is, or how "bad" your team is, if you're making $40 mil A YEAR (6 months, really), and you're playing a game, and you're not happy just to go out there and play, you need professional, mental help.
Super hot take

To most of us fans, it’s pretty clear what the issue is. Allen needs to get his head on straight and figure it out. He has the physical tools to be one of the greatest QBs to play the game.
The NFL changes and moves to play players differently. Most teams now play 2 high shell all the time. Allen has been struggling this year as teams play him differently. He needs to seek help figuring it out.
I was being entirely sarcastic
re: the bolded - another overly simplistic take.
He's miserable bc he's been emasculated as a QB/athlete and it's affecting his psyche and his play. Removing the superior elements of his game & his strengths is like putting blinders on a thoroughbred.
But sure, he just needs to "figure it out"

Is the risk reward of firing McDermott worth it? I don't see a coach out there that is worth the risk of firing McDermott. At the very least he has made the Bills relevant the last 5/6 years. Something the city was craving/needed.
Who is out there that would truly make a difference as HC.
IMO theres only 1 coach, and thats a trade with the rams for McVay.
wow, that's a super high bar

does anyone not realize football is a super violent game played by men who are getting bigger, stronger, and faster every freaking year?
anyone not notice the injury list getting longer around the ENTIRE NFL every single week? the NFL is a war of attrition. Moreover, the Bills organization has been lauded for their facilities and staff.

No accountability after 13 seconds. A funk after the GB last year, then getting throttled by Cinci in the playoffs.
After the London game with the Bills losing Milano & Jones on top of losing White vs. Miami, the very first thing I said was we needed to go all gas and just outscore everyone even if it meant a high-scoring shootout.
This team, and specifically the way Allen is wired, does SO much better up-tempo/no-huddle. We are an unstoppable wagon. Then we go conservative, predictable, and easy to defend, and lose all momentum.
"Let's stop doing what's working and switch to something with "more balance" - which stalls us and puts more pressure on an already depleted defense.
The $90m question is who is pulling the strings on blowing up our fast-break offense? Why would an OC do that? There's your answer.
Would McDermott rather lose 24-18 vs. 45-42 because the latter would expose his defense and his ego as a defensive mind?
Is Pegula that detached/ineffective to not see/hear what is going on? There is a rotten elephant in the room that no one wants to own up to.

I was there. I've watched it 100 times. Try watching it in real time, a massive man pushed a 280 pound man to the ground and he rolled one time. We do not have dirty players. Ravens and Steelers own that in our division. I get that it is your QB but this has been analyzed, I would suggest watching it in real time.
I do remember the Hurst block somewhat but not definitely. Hurst was super aggressive on every single play, I stand by the statement that our guys do not want to intentionally hurt another player, but Hurst would push the edge the closest by far.
We have ignorant posters like this on our board as well. And we shut our own stupid posters down immediately if the opposing fan is simply talking ball and being respectful. We like talking ball with others so that we are more informed about the other team. Our stupid fans that act like this only embarrass themselves and us when they make these types of comments, thus they are appropriately checked. We'll agree to disagree on Hendrickson, from my view he extended/continued his barrel roll unnecessarily then finished it with a leg kick/whip into Allen's knee. That may or may not have been intentional, who knows. I've watched the replay in slomo and real time countless times. I'd encourage you to watch the Hurst hit on Jackson.
I'm not suggesting the Bengals have dirty players - these 2 examples may have been isolated events. At least you guys don't have the idiot/criminal Apple anymore, he's now stuck in our division with Miami.

Except one Bills player actually did say that. I'm not sure that any others did. That happens, trust me we had to deal with Eli Apple.
Except that did not happen. The Bengals or the fans do not have any ill will towards Buffalo. You guys also used to like us as well until we got Burrow....I've enjoyed reading your contributions on a Bills fan board, but have to question the bolded. You may have forgotten, but before Hamlin collapsed on the field, Hendrickson very obviously rolled up on Allen, and Hurst pile drove Dane Jackson's head & neck into the turf. There's no place in the game for that crap and those type of things are not forgotten.

Listening to Joe Marino yesterday on WGR, he stated he believes that b/c the Pegulas have "too much on their plate", he's afraid McDermott will be retained unless there is an internal revolt led by the team leaders. He did not offer a caveat as to whether he'd move off that opinion should the Bills make the playoffs.
