  1. You know, like it or not, it's the NFL's property and they can charge what they want and restrict who they want. No amount of wanting it to be different is going to help. The only thing that's going to cause the NFL to make the options more widespread or affordable? It has to work for them financially.

I'd love to just buy the Bills games each week, but then I'd only pay a fraction of what I would for the entire Sunday Ticket package. Sure, some guys (like me) won't fork over the $$ for ST, but overall people do. Allowing per-game viewing or alternative methods would undercut that ST revenue.

  2. 1,000 people in Giants Stadium???

Maybe if they put JP in NY instead of Vegas, those numbers might've doubled.

I turned on a LV game about a week ago to see JP play. I kid you not. On the only snap I watched, he fumbled the ball on the snap and had to dive to the ground to cover it. He lost about 7 yards on the play.

That said, the first thought I had was "is this a practice?" because there were so few people in the stands. I had to rationalize that out. You know. Why would they practice against each other in a stadium?

    The XFL had better attendance!

  3. Yup, they were pretty cool back in 'the day.' I think I had built a couple sites using them as well. It's really run it's course, though, as there are better alternatives these days. Lots of the big boom names are gone. Netscape, GeoCities, Netcom, Digex...

Ha, I was at a startup that went public and made the owner millions upon millions when all of that went down, sixth employee. Out of this I got one thing. The knowledge that I should never trust the owner of a startup when he's making millions!

  4. At this point, with the Bills a putrid 1 & 3 and all, I would like nothing more than to see the Bills lose to the Browns on Sunday. Hell, I don't mind watching them lose just enough games to get Jauron and the entire FO fired! Even if it means we don't win another game all season.

Nothing will ever change with these clowns running the show. Every time I watch the Bills play I see nothing but an inept, rag-tag, sorry ass, no game plan having, under-prepared bunch of buffoons. They run a sorry excuse of a program. It's an embarrassment.

This is nothing new around here. The vast majority here already know these guys are responsible for all the losing and would like nothing more than to see some guys that are good at what they do wearing Buffalo blue, white, and red. These guys, although intelligent off the field, are complete morons on it. I cant wait to see them go! I will throw a freaking party that starts on Friday and ends on Monday when this finally happens!

I know I'll get flamed for saying this, but I'd like to see the Bills lose, and you know what, I don't care. You can question my loyalty to the Bills all you want. I know it's not true. I'm not shy to say I want the Bills to tank it-bad!

As a matter of fact, I want to make a prediction. Jauron will not be fired, he will resign. Whether it's by force or not, I don't know. I'm not even sure it will happen during the season or later in the off season.

Every time the Bills lose this season I will have a smile on my face. And so should you.

The same argument has come up every year since Marv left.

  5. Maybe we haven't hired Machine Gun because he doesn't want to be hired. I'm thinking 'duh'. Do you know for a fact he's applied for the job?

One common line of thought is that all of the Superbowl era players need to swoop in and set things straight. You know, come in and right the wrongs and all that. I tend to think that's total wishful thinking and not very realistic. Until we stop this ridiculous carousel of coaches, coordinators, and QBs, this is about as good as it gets.

Last year Edwards was a later round gem that was going to finally be our QB. This year we're already planning his demise and hunting the next savior. If Edwards tanks, Fitz is not going to step in and lead the team to glory. If we're already planning and anticipating that, the season is already a waste.

  6. Little antidote.. My GA wife has almost become a total Buffalonian. After my second daughter was born.. I'm talking just born -- like 30 minutes old -- she made me drive up to the local Buffalo owned restaurant and get her a big Beef on Weck. She chowed that bastard down right in the delivery room.

  7. The Bar Bill Tavern in East Aurora. Hands down. Great wings too.

    :censored::unsure:

But, it's cash only, so make sure you bring some!! Get the big one, too... My GA born wife makes me drive out there to get her a Beef on Weck every time we're in Buff. We've talked about moving back up there and, if and when we do, she's dead set on EA for two reasons... Bar Bill & family down the road.

  8. 92 here as well.. 95 tomorrow... 93 Sunday.. blah blah blah. GA actually had a small spring this year, it didn't just go from "kind of cold" to "damn hot" over night. It seems like it's made up for it over the past two weeks, though.

I actually brought my daughters' plastic slide *indoors* this week so they can use it!

  9. A friend of mine in NYC says red lights are more of a suggestion than a law.

My theory is that as congestion grows, as does aggressiveness. It has nothing to do with the people themselves. After you've been suck in traffic for 45 minutes, you pretty much hate everyone and just want to get to where you're going. Most of the cities listed are known for their rush-hour suck. Hell, I had an hour and fifteen minute drive home yesterday and I left at 4:00 PM.

  10. A buddy and I are about halfway through a website monitoring application that we hope to use to bring in a few extra bucks. Nothing too fancy. Basic up/down alerts and trending and all that. A side income supplement really.

Does anyone own or run a business where they take credit cards? I understand the SMB finances, I just can't find anything that tells me all of the fees and accounts and all that I'll need to have. Gateway, merchant account... card affiliation fees?

  11. I believe the law in Florida for killing animals is 5 years. He's charged with 18 counts as well as burglary charges. If he is convicted of all 18 and given the max sentence in consecutive terms he will be in for 90 years. I highly doubt he'll get anything close to that. I'm guessing 20 years and paroled approx. 10 years in. I hope psychological care can cure him of the uncontrollable urge to kill.

Not even close. Five years and he's out in 18 - 24 months with the rest of the sentence reduced to probation or house-arrest with the caveat that he attends court ordered psych. sessions.

    Edit:

He was charged with 19 counts of felony animal cruelty, 19 counts of improperly disposing of an animal body and four counts of burglary. Each of the felony counts carries a minimum mandatory fine of $5,000, six months in prison and psychological counseling.

''I'm glad he's 18, because now he can be tried as an adult,'' she said. ``If he's in prison for life, that would suit me just fine.''

He needs to be punished. Forget about the dead cats and the animal lover emotions for a minute and think about what that would do to that community. Some lunatic is gutting pets and ensuring the owners find them like that? Sounds like a deliberate attempt to cause fear and not "just" a whack job situation. Life though? Eh. I don't know about that one.

    Edit #2:

Would an 18 year old kid think of it like that? Probably not.

  12. Linky

HONG KONG, China (CNN) -- If you like to search for "music lyrics" or "free" things, you are engaging in risky cyber behavior. And "free music downloads" puts 20 percent of Web surfers in harm's way of malicious software, known as "malware."

Here's a safe and free site for music lyrics that I use.

Well, if you install a program called "WTFLOLZFreeMUSICANDTITS.exe", you deserve whatever comes your way!

  13. I'm turning in my resignation letter next Tuesday and I am about to start on it. Should I keep it as concise as possible or should I emphasize on my experience here? Should I load it with compliments and thank you's? I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? All response is appreciated!! :(

    Mr XYZ,
