I'm one of the boards most vocal Mcd detractors to be sure. I believe he should go, and far too many resources get allocated to the defense as long as he remains. But today's question is more about the bull heated nature of that plan, even on the rest of the defense.

This regime has made 11 picks in the first 2 rounds, 4 of those were DL picks, 1 LB, 1 CB. In addition to those they've obviously also signed Miller/Floyd/Jones etc. That's obviously enormous investment, and we know it hurt the offense, but how many times do we have to watch it not work on D before we acknowledge that it's hurt them too? Or maybe that whatever the plan is sucks all together?

For the 4th straight playoff exit, pressure on the QB was non existent, and run defense was weak. Their were certainly injuries this time, but it's left people saying man, if we just had that LB we drafted in the 3rd round, or that 6th round CB, we could have won. If Hyde and Poyer were younger, we could have won

In the end, the obsession with an ineffective DL rotation, left us crossing our fingers that mid and late round picks overperform, and left them with no defensive depth. Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

    Actually it’s “ Insanity”  … expecting different results…  😁👍

What we ABSOLUTELY NEED is two additional starting quality WRs to compliment Diggs, Shakir and our TEs, imo it’s a must have,

Our defensive is predicated on an overly complex scheme that is not workable at the end of every season since it’s inception, due to injuries that always happen because it’s football, convincing Sean to think outside the box and make necessary adjustments to account for the schemes failings is where the issue lies, somebody needs to have a heart to heart with him, so to speak, jmo.

    1) Von Miller will retire. His legal troubles will become too much of a distraction

    2) Matt Milano will be in top form

    3) Gabe Davis will be gone and will receive a huge contract elsewhere

    4)  Bills will reach a settlement with Tre White or he will be cut after preseason

    5) Bills will go all defensive backfield in the upcoming draft and will not draft a wide receiver until the 3rd

    6) Brady will be named OC. This will happen within the month

    7) Diggs will ask for a trade and it will be granted

    😎 Bills win superbowl 59

    It could happen…

  3. Scheming pass catchers open has not been a strong point for our latest  OCs, Brady although better than Dorsey at using Dorsey’s play book didn’t seem to insert plays that did just that, it can’t be that hard to do, being that so many other OCs do it, is it the OC or is it the talent he has to work with????

Good riddance. He’s not worth whatever money he’s commanding. I’d rather role the dice with a rookie along w/ a more experienced Shakir and Kincaid.

What’s with the animosity? Its not like he was your buddy and he banged your important other…, lighten up knuckles, it’s just a game after all,

  5. On offense, we have needed a more dynamic #2 WR all season, and it is my hope that Beane gets two such guys via draft / free agency, add in depth O-line guys at tackle and center, get a younger version of Murray in the RB room and the offense should be pretty much good to go for next season.  The defense will be harder to put together for next season, but Beane will get it done, so in answer to the OPs question, and quoting ish the princes bride, it would have been a miracle…, we just really were missing a couple more horses for the run in the post season,

  6. It’s not a black or white decision, what we need on offense is two additional starting WRs from the draft and or FA to compliment Diggs, Shakir, and our TEs.  Likely letting Sherfield  go. The Defense needs to sign and re-sign the best young and older guys while dumping  over priced contracts as needed, certainly won’t be easy, but it should be cool to watch Beane maneuver through the off season.

To say this team with an elite QB who played lights out in the playoffs accomplished something with a Divisional Round exit is a loser mentality. But unfortunately with the McD apologists...this is the standard.

Other teams with elite QB's are targeting SB's. We are targeting playoff appearances.

Would you like a tissue for your tears of inadequacy?

Teams 1-31 in the draft are all the same in one way - they haven’t won a Super Bowl. The Bills look no further forward now than they ever had and other franchises, such as the Texans, are starting to rapidly improve. Considering the QB at their disposal a showing of one Championship game (a loss) from six seasons is ridiculous.

    Silly attitude imo,

Put yours on and demand better. Losing in the divsional round every year isn’t a successful season

Yes it is, 17 year drought was not, how soon do many forget.

At least that would be hope for the future instead of the years of mediocrity.

Oh please, 17 year drought was mediocrity, four consecutive AFCE titles is not that by a long shot, buck up and fly right, your whimpering now.

There is nothing to be positive about.

Sure there is, we could all be jets or patriots fans, we are kings of the AFCE, 😁👍 remember there are more important things in life than football, be happy we live in the first world, things could be a whole lot worse,

  11. Things could certainly have gone far worse this season, we were essentially firing blanks as we struggled to get to six and six, to turn that around and get as far as we did was an accomplishment Imo.

Going forward, I hope to see a couple of above average receivers added to the offense to compliment Diggs and Shakir, I don’t think Davis is back with us next season, even if he is back we need fast and quick wide outs that run a full route tree, well that’s all I’ve got this morning, be positive my fellow Bills fans, it’s not the end of the world.

What makes you think the Bills are the dominant team? They *may* win out and grab the Lombardi trophy, but from what they have shown me this year, I'll believe it when I see it. Even in the Miami game 2 weeks ago, they certainly didn’t show domination over the Fish....thank God for that punt return TD! And last week, let's be honest, the Steelers shouldn't have even been in the playoffs.

Bob you are always so up beat about the Bills, it is amazing that such a wimpy team has won four (4) consecutive AFCE titles and the QB leads the league in so many categories, it’s just an honor that you even bother with them…,
