The Bills need Daryl Williams A LOT more than they need Bell.
I agree but we have the cap space for both and some. Though not sure it makes any sense. Of course Gore didn't make sense to me either. So what do I know.

Mosley will play MLB, no? If they keep Lee he plays WLB, and Barr plays SAM. That group got better ten fold. Whether or not it works remains to be seen
They are trading or cutting Lee. Rumors they wanted to move on from him prior to snagging Mosley. He's a goner.

Again, why is this assumption being made? Most of their pickups have been on defense.
WE are the team on the rise.
They have added two wrs and a all pro guard so far this off season. They are making a lot of moves on both sides of the ball. They will be better. We won't get two gift wins next year. Though I still doubt it'll put them over the hump but free agency just started they could continue to improve. Blah..

We still have very good lbs and a gm who can find them in the draft. Way more important. Our o line will be getting to the next level and dominating these lbs. bills won twice against jets next year
Won twice against them next year?.... Are you from the future? Did we sign Williams? Any other big name free agents?

I love how everyone is "meh" to all this when in reality the Jets are doing everything they can do to make their team ready to compete NOW and not settling for scraps or bargain basement players. Something we all wished the Bills are doing.
Does it guarantee wins? No.
Propel them towards a Lombardi? No.
The Jets have done this before. Splurge in FA and only to fall flat, but to their credit they keep trying. So let's see now.
Leonard Williams
Jamal Adams
Anthony Barr
CJ Mosley
Avery Williamson
and coming soon either Quinnen Williams or Josh Allen. And with Greg Williams at the DC position. Yikes!!
Beane really has to solidify that O line now.
C'mon Beane! Time to stir up that cauldron and whip up your best witchcraft cause we need it. Go Bills!!
Their cornerbacks are terrible. They lost Clairborne who was their best last year. There is always a hole in a defense. Though I agree it will be a much better Jets team as a whole next season.

Both the contracts the Broncos threw out today were crazy. They obviously had specific targets and threw out silly money to ensure they got them. Pretty much screw balling over everyone else in the tackle and safety markets.

I don’t disagree that we can manage the cap to sign those players but Morse’s is 19 mill this year. I have 19 + 7 (Kraft) + 2 (Gore) + Johnson (didn’t see the #s) - 4 * min contracts = 26 mil +. Again we can do things to manage to get the listed players but one thing I wouldn’t do is mortgage the future after doing such a good job front loading contracts.
I was going off earlier quoted averaged per year contract figures my numbers were off. As I said if the figures quoted were correct ad they were not obviously.

So the Raiders are signing Lamarcus Joyner to a big contract. Looks like they weren't out of cash yet.

Murphy’s contract is an easy get out of for me with Shaq taking his snaps and he was hurt yet again I would take the 3.5M dead and save the 5M when I cut Murphy
Might be able to use a 5th too. Think we have two there
Agholor a new contract would lower this years Cap though just saying.
True we could cut some guys to get more cap space to make it work. I wont argue there. We actually save Cap overall from signing Gore if we cut Ivory.

Just now, MAJBobby said:
No we wouldn’t.
Agholor or would be lower than his 9M
Saffold call it 12 per
Williams is probably 10 per
ansah is probably 10 per (Max)
Gresham is likely 5 per at this point.
That is roughly 50M more than enough space to fit in top 51
Williams will get closer to 12 or 13, Ansah will get well over 10 probably closer to 11 or 12, Gresham 6 or 7 based on te contracts being thrown out so far, Sffold will get 12 likely, and Agholor is curently on a 9.3 million per year contract but like every ther traded wr h would want a new contract / raise especially if traded to buffalo so we will say 13ish based on Funchesses contract. Yeah we don't have enough to pay them all and rookies.

Speaking of which, how much cap space do the Bills have left?
We had roughly 77 going into today and if all quoted signing figures are correct the deals we made today are 19.5 million. So roughly 58 million before rookie contracts are added in as well.

We would run out of cap space before we finished signing all those players.

To be fair that’s with incentives. We don’t know what the base is yet.
I bet Buffalo hands out a worse contract by the end of this.
The base is 10 million and 3 million in incentives. Still waaay over pay for a receiver with the dropsies like he has. So glad the Bills weren't the ones who signed him.

The Bills-Bengals love fest continues.
Big contract for an unproven player but its another body at TE. I like him better than James when hes right.
I don't. James is healthier and a better te. That said he is better than what we had last year likely. Also keeps the door open to draft a te still imo.

So other teams are focused on signing young premiere players while the Bills are signing Kevin Johnson and Frank Gore. Priorities are a bit off OBD!
-
I don't believe this at all. There are always ways to circumvent the cap.

3 excellent young corners...sign a CB
We started 6 of them last season. 3 is never enough.

I don't believe many if any of the rumors that the Bills are interested in any of the guys we have been rumored to be interested in.
We are essentially the team all the players agents seem to be claiming is their free agency "Canadian girlfriend".

What's the best twitter account for unsubstantiated rumors? I need to ride this high...
Incarcerated Bob throws a lot of poo at the wall. He is usually good for a bunch of those. Not sure if any are Bills related atm though.

Why do they do the tampering period again? Who benefits from this? Why not make FA sooner?
The NFL benefits. Keeps them in the news for a longer period during the off season.

When are tea,s going to realize that Brady's super quick release makes olinemen look better than they are? The Raiders are going to regret that contract by mid year for sure.

Well, they are tanking, right? Seems like a good fit then.
If true that they are tanking. They should trade for Peterman and start him instead. That'd essentially cement that first overall next year.
-
I wouldn't. I just don't see where the value in this is for us. The trade value charts may be correct but I feel a drop from 9 to 20 is worth more when the team trading up is moving up for a qb.

I don't know why people are poo-pooing the OP's asking and wanting the Bills doing this. As a fa I would love to see the Bills inner workings. Also, I don't think the Bills would be as adverse to this as many think. One it may help kill the terrible negative stereotype that Buffalo is the NFL Siberia. Also, didn't the Bills do something similar just last year? Yes, it was a mini version and obviously flawed as it was a Bills media creation but it still was cool to see. Even if the Bills don't do Hard Knocks I hope they do that at least again this year.

I like it! Between him and Murphy we might get a healthy 16 games combined.
