Cooper cap hit is like $600K. Almost all of his salary this year was converted to a signing bonus he has already been paid. -

Beane don't make the same mistake of not going to get Von when he was available from Denver. Make the move. No more wasting Allen -
What’s up with the bills usage of Kincaid?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to iwishitwerecolder's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not saying we shouldn't do that. Pretty sure Kelce gets one or two of those passes a game. But he also gets some explosive plays in the deep middle. That is what Josh excels at. Kincaid and Knox should be able to exploit that. They can use MVS to run the safety off deep and Knkx or Kimcaid can trail him and check up in the deep middle. -
He has to because in eight years McDermott has never taken responsibility. He loves the "It starts with me line", but then the special teams coordinator is gone, Leslie is fired and then Dorsey. Hmmmm...

I mean how hard can it be? Any low level internet could go watch film of Kelce, Gronk, Kittle, and a host of other great TEs and design 10-15 plays that exploit the defense. This board was happy to see Diggs gone thinking this would open up opportunities for others. Just the opposite so far. Maybe just maybe Diggs did draw extra attention late last year opening up opportunities for Shakir and Kincaid to make plays. -
Josh Allen has lost a step.
Ethan in Cleveland replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think he is slower. He probably has a broken left hand. He is just playing more cautiously. He is sliding more than he ever has. On the pocket escapes he is trying to find guys downfield instead of just taking off. That said, he also looks a little thicker around the middle. He might be 5-10 pounds heavier.- 247 replies

Monday Night Games - Miami/Titans/Lions/Seahawks
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Are you talking about McDermott? I think you meant his systems work against bad QBs. Everything else is correct though... -

Omg the refs and the TV crew don't even know the rules The safety looked like a good INT. Elbow was down Also Metcalf looked like he caught that 2 pt conversion. Seems like two blown calls by replay -

Nice job by sideline reporter pressing Callahan on who will play QB in second half -
I'd love for us to trade for Amari Cooper
Ethan in Cleveland replied to True Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall
100% agree. Flacco would have had the highest INT/attempt rate in the league last year if he had enough attempts. Then he throws two picks in the playoff game. Cooper wants out after Cleveland tried to trade him. I don't blame Cleveland for wanting to get younger and not wanting to extend him. They just traded for Jeudy and gave him a big deal and Cooper is 30. I would expect him to play well with the Bills, for no other reason than he wants to get one more big payday and a good run with the Bills might lead to Bills giving him an extension or some other team signing him. -
Agree. 32, 34, 78, 12, and 83 should be retired 17 will be retired in the future Our defensive HC thought this guy could play? The same way he thought Peterman could play. I understand they rarely play 4-3 but this guy should be cut today and find a street FA to sign to PS.

So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree! Except I would give MVS more snaps. He's gotten open and Josh has missed him. He's probably the only deep threat on the team. I'd be happy if Hollins was never on the field and Coleman got all his snaps. -
McD and his stupid rotations. Does Cook look like he is being overused or need to come out??? No. The most maddening thing is when the offenses starts a new drive and they have a backup in there. Why? Cook should only come out when he wants to.

Agreed. Ed has always been an up and down guy. To be fair where has Rousseau been since his 3 sack game to start the year?? Henry ran right past him as he was blocked by the RT on the 87 yard TD.

What does that have to do with out WR group? I didn't say they couldn't win. Chiefs are 4-0 and their WR group is bad too. -

Lol. Perfection is unattainable and my OP does not suggest I am seeking that And yes I am an unabashed McDermott critic I will give McDermott some props on his ability to get the team to rebound. He's had maybe 5 or 6 games were the defense is brutalized. He usually gets the team to respond. It's probably his best attribute. And I said this in a couple other places, there are few if any teams in the AFC or the NFL for that matter that are that physical and can run that effectively. -

Memory is fine. Please also remember the two 80+ yard bombs Allen missed to a wife open Diggs in those games as well. And that production you described would still be better than any WR on the roster right now by far. Beane made the team worse by getting rid of Diggs because McD and/or Allen couldn't play with him any longer. It's the worst group of WR since 2018. Said it before training camp and it's still true -

These are all fair and rationale points. Will be interesting to revisit this in a few weeks and see what if any adjustments Brady makes -
For Those Struggling With the Loss...
Ethan in Cleveland replied to ToGoGo's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is true. But name me another team in the AFC that can play that brand of football? Jets don't have the Oline Colts don't have the QB Chargers don't have the RB Quoting Marv Levy after he got outclassed by Parcells will not assuage those of us that think our HC gets outclassed every year. -

Many of us have been saying it since they traded Diggs. And I don't think people were praising the WR group the first three weeks. Most were praising Brady -

Impossible to tell from what we saw on TV. Yes it was Coleman downfield but he had two guys near him. Maybe he was about to blow past them.
