The Chiefs wouldn't assume an extra point miss more than they would assume being behind 2 scores.

They didn't want Josh to score but once that locomotive gets up to speed, LBs and DBs seem to shy away from contact.

No other QB in the game has this effect on defenders.

Just rewatched it multiple times. They definitely didn’t let him score. Was an amazing play, highly rewatchable. Torrence owned jones.

I know this is just a few times a season thing, but the technology exists for a  goal post camera to instantly tell if a Kick is good and it would not even be expensive, yet the NFL once again doesnt seem to care if they get it right. Absolutely no way that those 2 officials can eyeball it from ground level and be sure about a kick that goes that high. I'm glad it didnt cost us in the end.

Probably get some flack for this but I don’t think it’s as complicated as people are making it. The two officials are in the exact right position to make that call. the camera angle used in the broadcast adds drama because of forced perspective. the two sets of eyes directly under goalposts don’t have that limitation. I get the “not trusting officials” argument but if as a fan you have such little faith in their ability to fairly judge something that is so cut and dry, not a judgment call, or possibly missing something by being out of place, then why have officials at all.

The forced perspective of the television audience makes this seem more complicated than it is.

It all comes down to our Defense today. They need to step up bigtime! We are healthy on that side of the ball so no excuses. This game will tell us a LOT about our Bills. If we can play tough D we are sure to squeek out enough points to win. This is a HUGE game and we need the W. If we lose this, then we have Detroit and SF....

More interested in seeing how our o does vs their d

Can he play at the Chris Jones level?

1 sack in 6 playoff games for Greg.

I wish Rousseau was better than he is, or at least as good as many posters think he is, but I haven’t seen it. He’s going to command a 25+ million/yr salary based on the market for his position. Another difficult decision for beane; a borderline good/very good player that, from a money-ball perspective, ends up being low return. E.g. Knox, Oliver, Jones, epenessa, miller, bass.

To me other than Josh everyone is available for the right price. That being said I doubt Shakir or Rousseau sign else where.

    Why wouldn’t they 🤔

Going strictly by production, and ignoring all other considerations (chemistry etc.) josh is the only player that isn’t replaceable.  There are some nice players on the team but zero other hall of famers

it’s all about cap space.  You’re telling me, you’d rather have this group of WRs, plus Jefferson for 8.5M cap hit this year and 15.3 next year?  Give me a break.  Basically, Jefferson is taking the same space as Samuel.  You’re back peddling because you don’t know the cap implications and you are dead wrong.  Having a great WR like him would open up so much.  Not only that, it would buy back your 3rd round pick from next year that’s burned on Cooper.

I’m “back peddling” because you’re trying to drag the argument into fantasy land. Doing the kind of myopic accounting you’re doing is what got us in the cap trouble we’re in. There’s no debate the team would be better with better players, that’s just not the only consideration.

Actually, Jefferson’s Cap hit this year is 8.5M this year and 15.3 next year and we are eating Diggs at 31M soooo… you’re clueless.  Not only that, when he DOES move up in value it’s 39M and 42M, not that you ever let it get to that, bc you resign him, but worst case scenario, you have the best WR in football for what you are paying Diggs and any competent version of his replacement.  So how ya feel about your statement now?

I’m sure that Justin Jefferson’s 4 year 140 million dollar contract, with 110 guaranteed is more than you’re trying to make it seem. I think he was paid 38 million this year, before the “value goes up”.

Paying digs 31 million while he’s on another team is a good argument for not giving another wr a large contract.

We’re getting into the weeds here. My argument is that signing a wr to a huge contract might make business sense but it’s low value from a purely wins/loss, team building, football sense.

It’s not that much different than what they are paying Diggs to not be here, so yeah, yeah he would.

If by “not that much different” you mean 60% more, then I guess it’s the same 🤷‍♂️.

We couldn’t afford diggs beyond this year but somehow we can take on Jefferson’s contract?

look, he’s a great, GREAT, player. We would be a worse team if we had him. Half a billion on a quarterback and one wr isn’t a recipe for team building.
