  1. For a team who didn't score on any drive at the end of a half, it seems very strange that the Bills would just pack it in when they could have gotten some much needed work on their 2 minute drill...I mean lets face it...these guys aren't exactly the early 90 Bills in terms of scoring...

Not sure why Jauron would be so conservative in a game that means nothing...he is coaching like he would during the regular season when up by 17 at the half and not in a preseason game...

Anyways, just a little surprised they didn't try and run some plays to see how they did...

I wouldn't worry to much..your not seeing all the starters anyways....even if they ran the 2 min drill who's to say it would be the same as when TE is playing?..by the way I changed my sig and got rid of wright for Omon...hes looking good out there tonight

  2. It shouldnt be any different than when someone gets hurt and you throw in the backup....when and if Peters comes back just put him in his LT spot and keep playing like he wasnt ever missing....on the other hand, if when he gets back and if he shows to not be in shape(Im sure he'll be tested b4 being out into any game)then keep him out and get him into shape...dont mess with the lines cohesiveness till hes fully ready to play.

  3. I was just looking at your roster sig... No Donnie Spragan or Will James?

yea I was debateing on wether they keep Costanzo or Spragan...Ive seen Costanzo do more in ST and really havent heard much from Spragan...My original thought was Spragan was just brought in as camp fodder...Corto has looked good in both areas as well....unfortunatly I wont be able to watch the Indy game so Ill have to wait till game 4 to see who looks better....by game 4 a lot of the guys will be gone anyways

On James....Corners looking good as well is youboty...only way I see James make it is if the Bills go with 6 CB's over 5...again it comes down to ST play....Both Corner and Youboty looked good on ST as well....Havent seen James do anything really bad but havent seen anything really good either..But I'm not a coach so I dont see everything..lol

my sig is ever changing as well...I believe I have 54 on it right now if you include Peters who I have listed as holdout...my biggest problem area is the OL... trying to figure out who I'd keep....Im thinking Preston is gone but hes looked good as depth in both preseason games..Is it to little to late for Preston?..I'm not sure...They could dump Murphy but last I recall Bills were trying to make him a OT....Whittle only backs up 1 spot but I really havent heard anything good or bad from him, but I think he has a good contract, not sure...Bell has looked ok so both he and Felton could go to PS but I beleive if both are on PS 1 will get snagged by another team....

  4. if hes fully healthy and up to full speed, I don't see any reason why not to like Peppers on the team...a rotation of Schobel, Kelsay, Ellis and Peppers would be nice....Ive never really cared much for Denney, some do, but I don't.....not saying Denney sucks, just saying we could do better....but reality is Peppers isn't going nowhere and if he did It wouldn't be to Buffalo...I think Bills draft DE next season....DE, S(depth), QB(depth), LB(if Crowel leaves), OL(depth), rest I'm not sure yet...

  5. the one thing I see the most, and you can see it in that video link when they show plays from last year at the beggining, is if you watch TE from last year he almost always telegraphs the play...last year he lifted his leg way high..almost as high as if he was stepping over a bucket or something...I hated it last year...the game vs Steelers he almost never lifted his leg...I saw a small lift on the first play , but after that he never lifted it again...this alone shows me hes working on getting better and his work is paying off

  6. That only affects fans who don't have a ticket to the game.

so your saying fans with no tickets shouldn't be able to have fun and support there team in the parking lots?...I think this was a very bad move on the Bears part...Tailgateing is a huge part of the game-day experience...I know all of you would be pi$$d if Ralph came out and threw everyone that didn't buy a ticket out of the parking lot

  7. A big part of the Bills gameday experiemce is tailgating. After seeing the pathetic joke that passes for tailgating in Toronto, I think interest in coming down to Orchard Park is going to keep rising

did you see where the Bears told its tailgaters that they can no longer be in the parking lot durring game time?....thats just not right :thumbsup:

  8. The Miami game being played in Toronto still pisses me off. Having a home game at RWS vs Miami in December has usually just about guaranteed a win. Now it's going to be in a dome??

Buffalo should tell Toronto that the roof has to be open for the game..snow or no snow...but then again..we have a Cali QB and a Cali RB..maybe the roof closed will help us more than hurt Miami

  9. Apparently not. Here are his negatives from one of his draft profiles.

Negatives: Lacks ideal bulk, but has good muscle definition...Does not always play up to his timed speed, but does show good urgency to close (hip flexibility is just adequate)...Needs to be more alert on the field, as he will be fooled by pump fakes and play-action...Lacks the overall strength to be a physical tackler and needs to show better route anticipation; eyes the backfield too long rather than mirroring the receiver...Not the type that can naturally locate the ball, but will get there once he finds it...Must refine his backpedal technique, as he opens his hips too soon and comes out of his pedal early (would get a better break if he was not so tall in his stance, as it narrows his hips, preventing him from getting a fluid turn on the ball)...When he spends too much time looking into the backfield when playing deep in the zone, receivers have had success getting behind him...Must take better angles closing on the ball and, when a receiver gets behind him, he struggles to recover...More of a drag-down type of tackler, but he needs to face up and wrap better (will take a side, letting receivers break his arm tackles)...Must do a better job of securing the ball and protecting it on returns (leaves it exposed, resulting in costly fumbles...Willing in run force, but lacks the tackle technique and power to be effective playing at line, getting washed out often by bigger blockers in a crowd...Has adequate hands, but he needs to do a better job of extending for the ball (uses his body as a crutch and several of his pass deflections could have been interceptions if he caught the ball outside his frame).

Hopefully he will improve in the NFL. As far as Ellis goes, I agree with you. I like what I have seen so far, especially the almost sack/forced fumble on Leftwich.

all of this sounds like stuff that can be taught in his first year....some of it sounds like the Bills weight room will cure also...If he hits the weight room with the right trainers and the coaches stay on him and coach tackling techniques McKelvin could be a dominant CB in the NFL..we'll see what happens and how he changes from this season to next

  10. your being a tad ridiculous here mackey....sounds like what your looking for is for R.Wilson to knock on your door and say "I'M selling the team to the highest bidder after I die"....If your really concerned about whether he stated it in a press release or not why don't you get off your ass and do a search on the Bills site...I'm pretty confident that if a news reporter is stateing it ,it most likely came from Ralph's mouth or someone high up in the organization...I'm sure they're not asking the towel boys what Ralph plans on doing after he dies

  11. On three consecutive plays on the Bills' second touchdown drive, Gay missed a tackle on wide receiver Roscoe Parrish, resulting in a first down; cornerback Ike Taylor missed a tackle on wide receiver Lee Evans, resulting in a 17-yard gain; and Clark missed a tackle on a swing pass to running back Fred Jackson, turning a loss into a 5-yard gain. For good measure, there was even a long run by the quarterback on third-and-13 -- Edwards stepping up in the pocket from his own 7 and gaining 22 yards to keep a scoring drive alive.

yea the Bills must have game planned the missed tackles also

  12. I don't see why Bryan Scott and John Wendling "require" spots on this team. I like Wendling for special teams sake, but he certainly hasn't shown us anything in any games or even preaseason, and Bryan Scott is a dime-a-dozen player IMO. He is average at best, a little big for my liking, and is easily replaceable. I'd rather keep Will James (he has also played some safety) and let go of Scott.

As far as corners go, I like the idea of keeping all 6 and experimenting with James at Safety a little. Just because there are numbers there doesn't mean a good player should be cut. I don't think cutting a good corner just for an extra body at safety makes sense. I'd keep all 6 corners, and 4 safeties, minus Scott.

actually I never thought about this till you just mentioned it....Is James good enough to pull a Vincent?...If he's better than Scott I'd go this route also.

  13. He cannot catch. He has no hands. He is a strong blocker, and he even gets open, but he cannot catch the football.

If this qualifies as decent, you are right.

I'm not so certain that its "he cant catch" and more of "Bills don't throw to TE's"...Ive seen a few games where Royal did have some nice catches, how many hes dropped escapes me thow...I wouldnt write off Royal untill Bills bring in a real quality TE....they should have gone after Utecht(sp)...he looked great the other day.
