That obsession with the pipe bombs is just plain weird.

Oh, how could we identify people in the broad light of day, with no face coverings, shouting/screaming/boasting online about storming into the Capitol yet not identify someone planting a pipe bomb in the middle of the night who was trying to conceal his/her identity?

Well here's the thing about the pipe bomb that some people find a bit head scratching and why it seems a little bit important. The "bombs" were planted hours before they were discovered at the DNC and RNC headquarters. In those hours the "bombs" were somehow missed by the Capitol Police, the Secret Service, the FBI, and bomb sniffing dogs. The supsect somehow has yet to be identified despite authorities having his (or her) cell phone data that has strangely become compromised. These facts are just a small sample of why this story may get someones attention. Where these "bombs" real and set to explode, killing or injuring those who would be nearby? Or where they planted and meant to be discovered by authorities who could then blame Trump and his merry band of Insurrectionists for their potential harm?

So you see Mr. Reich, it is a compelling and interesting story to those who would like to know the truth about this event. Weird concept to some others I suppose.

Republicans then: "Democrats relied on unverified raw intelligence to get a Special Counsel appointed to hound Trump for over half of his presidency. It's outrageous!"

Republicans before yesterday: "We have damning evidence from a raw unverified intelligence report that proves that Biden should be impeached for corruption. It's totally fair!"

If it's good for the goose it's ........... we won't be fooled again, or something.

It's early 2024. Recycling the tired bull ***** Russia narrative is child's play.

It's about to get a whole bunch worse.

You know you're right and I know you're right, they will stop at nothing to make sure Trump will not be elected. Nothing will be left on the table by these corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle.

nope.  He made it by fraud , lying and cheating which is why he's been indicted more than 90 times.  He doesn't "use" the system.  He breaks the rules consistently and then uses mobster tactics to avoid prosecution.  He also has been bankrupted multiple times despite inheriting a fortune.

Please respond to Stoltenbergs comment on the issue, or is he another Putin puppet too?

IIRC, he was supposed to be a retired chef getting into giving investment advice.

But as I've learned, there's a lot of doubt around here about the alleged qualifications of certain posters. For all I know he was a Waffle House cook gambling his earned income tax credit on bitcoin.

    Mmmm, Waffle House.

You have to have a plan in place for the states that allow it to the levels they do.. and won’t have it changed by the election.

Look at the special election on Long Island.  Dems banked most of their votes prior to Election Day.  Republicans waited and then a snow storm hit.  Would it have made a difference?.. I don’t know, but I know they didn’t stand a chance given the storm.

Arizona had voting machines down on Election Day in heavy R areas this last election.  Think of that what you want, but it wouldn’t be such a major issue if half of those people voted early by Mail.. as Arizona allows.

Im not a huge fan of it either.  Is there fraud? Probably “some”, but what you certainly get are elections in which a vote collecting apparatus wins.

Georgia rural & suburban voters typically vote on election day.  If something comes up that day … oh well.

Dems have souls to the polls, which (aside from providing rides and legit day of/early voting measures) gathers Mail-in ballots from black folks, typically black women, who make their family .. who otherwise might not vote, all fill in their ballots as they wish, and then turn them over to ballot collectors, who drop them off at polling/ballot locations.

And that’s Georgia.. imagine what goes on in other states with more expansive Mail in voting laws.

Have to win elections to change the rules.   And Donald Trump is not serious, or is incapable, of doing what is required on the ground to get that done.

I hope it doesn’t matter in the end, but he is putting the entire R party, himself and down ballot, in jeopardy with his constant attacks on mail in voting.

I smell what you're stepping in. The GOP has to be as lowdown, cheating, ballot harvesting, ballot box stuffing, voting machine hackers, hiding of vote counters from observers. false claims of water leaks, as the Dems. I could not agree more. As they say-When in Rome.

Dont care. The current process takes far too long. Hire a million immigration lawyers and make them citizens.

One filled out a bunch of paperwork and waited a million years, the other didn’t. Both contribute to this great nation of immigrants.

sorry, but I’m not changing my stance. I welcome all immigrants.

    Then you are daft.

Correct, we patriotic Americans want to continue the tradition of taking in the poor huddled masses yearning to breath free and give them the full benefits of citizenship. Anyone who doesn’t want to do so is anti-American in my book.

Let me say this slowly so it may sink in - Leee-gulll Immm-mmaaa_grrrraaaa-shhhhuuuunnnn is not the problem it is the thousands of unvetted ILLLLL-LEEEE-GULLL IMMMMM-MAAAA-GRRRRR-ANNNTSSS that is the very big problem. I'm sure you can figure out why.

She was there in case Feds couldn't coax enough people into the Capitol on J6.

In that event then the bomb hoax where the VP elect was nearly killed by a vast conspiracy of blood thirsty MAGA insurrectionists, thereby not allowing her to be present at the Capitol for the vote certification is put into action.

And voila theres your MAGA insurrection without anyone even going into the Capitol.

As we know, plan B wasn't necessary and but for a few real journalists the rest of the media has dutifully ignored the J6 pipe bomb scandal.

It is this exactly. Planting dummy pipe bombs that would be discovered before they detonated to save this country from insurrection.

I was curious about this too so I did some digging.  Different state laws.  Missouri law makes it illegal to release the names of juveniles charged with crimes if they're under 18.  This will change if they're tried as adults.  Wisconsin is one of only three states (Georgia and Texas being the others) that don't offer that same protection as 17 year olds are required by law to be tried as adults.  Thus, Rittenhouse wasn't offered the same protections.

    Thanks for the clarification.

The befriending of dictators is so easy here that I can’t believe you’re even asking this question

If it's so easy then show me. Show me one policy decision made under Trump that did not have the best interest of this country at the core. You want to say he is a jerk? I agree. You want to say he is a narcissist? I am with you. You want to say he made mistakes by running his mouth? I hear you. But if you can show me a policy that Trump made that harmed this country I am waiting.
