The good - Edmunds is attacking his gap assignments The bad - Has to work on techniques to shed blocks or at least keep some leverage to make plays. He was getting schooled on trap blocks, it happens and it is only year 2 for that kid. His overall game is improving.

Truth. Some of the old timers here were trying to sound the warning bells. Never take any team lightly because they may have a good game plan, they may have the right players to execute it, and they may catch your team napping. Toss in some untimely drops and flags and you are staring down the barrel of being embarrassed. I hate to see it, but perhaps Flores turns these guys around faster than I thought he would. Was hoping the Jets and Miami would have a decade or two of being easy 4 wins on our schedule.

I was a bit surprised at how many escapes Fitz had against this defense. I do expect some of that on Johnson's side, he is green and will take himself right out of a play going to high on his rush. That being said, he is a 1st year rookie and will only get better. I think I would have kept Edmunds on their TE this game and I think that holding was pretty ticky-tacky as Gesecki cut in front of him and as much as Edmunds hooked an arm, Gesecki was trying to push off to create separation at the cut he was making. Something to learn from this game when we go up against teams with larger physical receivers. There needs to be some adjustments, Wallace was in over his head.

Bit of a flag-fest early so I don't know if the Bills were just not ready after the break, or we had overzealous zebras, but it made this more of a nail biter than it needed to be. Our defense resembling a sieve against the Dolphins larger receivers and running game did not help. And before the flaming, yes I do put a lot on our defense because the Bills have invested a lot into this defense and they should be money against teams like the Dolphins.

Penalty disregarded this ******* game is over.

Can't argue with that - as it does really seem that way year over year. Like the conversation I had a week ago about us crapping the bed against Pittsburgh when they played all their scrubs one year. It boggles the mind, but they do look past opponents. The defensive intensity and speed you saw against NE was missing today.

Finally something special from Special Teams

They played much of today on the d-line like they were at a "kegger" last night. Just a lot slower than prior to the break.

I seriously have a hard time wrapping my mind around a QB overthrowing a 65 yard pass and it looks like he tried to take a bit off it. A problem few QB coaches have had to ever deal with, but requiring a lot of time with Allen working with his deep threat receivers to get the timing better.

Preston Williams looks like the player I thought he could be during the draft... I was just typing that. OK if that fumble stands I am going to keep saying good things about Miami players... it seems to jinx them.

I am ok with that pitch play on 1st downs, but not when it is down and some to get a first. That deep ball has got to get better a 65 yard over throw. Jeez - fair critique from plenty of fans.
