  1. Tyrod has handled this type of thing with much less class than EJ ever did. Not sure that means anything, but I do think EJ is a better natural leader. Tyrod is more of a lead by example type, which is hard to do when the team is ranked 30 in passing.

    Care to retract that?

Seems EJ also refused to speak to media after he did play, "EJ Manuel politely declined an interview Sunday outside the Buffalo Bills’ locker room."

That was some great leadership on and off the field by EJ.

  2. TT would get 27.5 million if they decide to exercise the option. The cap hit for 2017 isn't 27.5 million however, it's just under 16 million as the bonus is structured to extend over 5 years. So having a 16 million dollar QB in TT seems like a no brainer and sitting him, unless he is injured currently is just another head scratcher. Even if he winds up not being the answer, havng him on the team 1-2 more years is about the easiest choice.

  3. The people feeding Timmay the troll by actually considering what he is saying seem very quick to forget how low this team really was. The Dick Jauron teams that went 7-9 those 3 years were much worse than their record. The teams that he and Marv helped to assemble were complete sh*t. You want to talk about whiffing on draft picks? Go back to take a look at Donahoe and Marv. Whaley is the best GM we've had since the late 90's, but people want to run him off because he hasn't been perfect nor have we gotten a potential HOF QB in the draft yet. People also want to whine about some of the contracts handed out. I will give you that one on Dareus, but the rest? Have you seen the market these days? You also need to take into consideration he hasn't been given a fair shake on bringing in his own guy at the HC position either. Marrone wasn't his choice and neither was Rex. Whaley is not the problem, but the Pegs either need to let him do his job completely or let him go. Russ Brandon's meddling *ss needs to be let go no matter what they end up doing. He is the one constant in this equation for a long time now.

Donahoe was better at drafting. You lose all credibility here.

Clements, Schobel, Henry, Jennings, Mcgee, Crowell, Kelsey, Mcgahee, Evans

who has Whaley really brought in?

Gilmore, Watkins, Darby????? That's really about it.

  4. Eh, I'm not too worried about the optics of firing Rex in December or January. The stain of Ralph's cheapness has not followed the Pegulas. They are well-regarded throughout the league as solid owners who are willing to invest resources to support their front office and head coaches. Rex was given a TON of leeway to hire as many assistant coaches as he wanted, including personal relatives. Everything he asked for from a personnel standpoint, including his own hand-picked QB, was given to him. He was allowed to rid the roster of once-productive players who didn't buy into his system. Coaches who sparred with him were shown the door. Rex hung himself, and I'm fairly certain the entire league (and Rex) understands this.

The incoming coach will inherit a solid roster with a respected GM and ownership group. The Pegulas will not make money an issue - the incoming coach will be very well-paid. They'll have no trouble attracting candidates.

You know who is replacing Whaley already?

  5.

Unlike you, I don't feel compelled to consider it any of my business what another American does in the privacy of their own home.

And I generally align with libertarian principles and thought both Johnson and Weld did credible work in their previous positions

Ok. How would they do that when they can't even name a single world leader or hell even know where those countries are?

I can see it now, Johnson and Weld in the oval office, naked, smoking a doobie. In walks the Chairman of Joint Chiefs and says Iran just launched nukes at Israel. Johnson responds with, Chairman, you're in charge of Joints, get me another.

  6.

And perhaps you should eventually get it through that limited little one-note brain of yours that there's not a single one of those people on your list that I support.

So tell us who you do support?

Johnson who does not know where Syria is? Or can't name a world leader? Admits to walking around naked most of the day and smoking dope.

    Someone else?

  7.

Chris Matthews, of all people, was doing the same thing last night. Maddow was embarrassing herself with anger, stunned that white men would beat down a woman like that, and Matthews had to lay down the lumber about how poor of a candidate she was. One of his points was that she never took seriously her loss of Michigan to Bernie. Hillary assumed she had it vs. Trump, so she ignored that the issue was more about her.

I think the one mandate this election shows:

It's better to be a black man than a white woman in this country.

  8. We should draft a QB, WR, RB, OT, OG, C, DT, DE, ILB, OLB, S, CB every year. That way hopefully one out of three works and the team will be consistently great.

Of course where do we get all of those draft picks.

So no you can't waste draft picks just to pick one, like I consistently hear about CB, Q, etc.... but we do need a better GM who can find the right players at the right time. It's like chess you need to be 3 steps ahead or you're going to lose.
