This. Tasker is brutal, but they’ll never oust him until he voluntarily retires.
I actually like Rob Ray and think he adds insight to the Sabres’ broadcasts.
Tasker just talks a lot without really saying anything.
My favorite Rob Ray moment was when he got caught in the middle of a near fistfight between Lindy and the Ottawa coach:

No mention of Ken Dorsey. He's a rookie too. I thought the play selection for the first two-point conversion was abysmal.
And as for Steve Tasker, I realize that I've liked him on TV all these years because of how much I loved watching him play. Actually, he's really terrible on TV.

Those idiots passed on OT Evan Neal in the 2022 draft, only to opt for a CB from Cincinnatti (of all places) at #4.
Hey - nothing wrong with Cincinnati! GO BEARCATS!

In 63 seasons the Bills have 35 more wins than what you are calling a "historically stupid franchise". Less than half a win per season more. Both teams have overall losing records. Bills have 11 more playoff games played than the Jets. One franchise is 1-0 in the SB and one is 0-4 with two AFL Championships.
Bills have 10 people in the HOF 7 of which are players - one being of course a murderer. Jets only have 4 - 3 players - one a famous fur coat wearing, Brady Bunch appearing, alcoholic that kisses sideline reporters.
Yeh but they hired REX RYAN as their coach! We never did anything that stupid!

Just 2 days away until Colts at Bills or the opening of tailgating season.
tailgating PRE-season. It gives you an opportunity to try out some recipes that might not make it to the regular season.

Good recommendations. If you go to Cleveland for the Rock Hall I’d also recommend going to the West Side Market (Steve’s Gyros is great) and the Cleveland Museum of Art, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Buffalo has a very nice art gallery of its own, with works by Van Gogh, Cezanne, Rodin, Monet among many others.
https://www.albrightknox.org/ EDIT: Whoops, closed for construction.

OJ Simpson made a lot of his history there.
There isn't much of the old stadium left now, but there is still something to see.
This also has the double benefit of being about 2 blocks from the site of the recent Tops grocery store mass killing if you have a morbid fascination in seeing where that took place.
If you want to see the Rockpile, just watch The Natural. The stadium scenes were filmed there.

The Bills played a couple of preseason games at Holleder Stadium in Rochester back in the 1960s. But it's been torn down and now it's an industrial park. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/lifestyle/2013/11/30/whatever-happened-to-holleder-stadium/3773223/
More seriously, Buffalo is the best located place for a Hall of Fame tour, all within 4 hours of Buffalo by car:
- Rock and Roll HOF in Cleveland
- Pro football HOF in Canton, OH
- Hockey HOF in Toronto
- Baseball HOF in Cooperstown
Cleveland and Canton are very close to each other. Leave enough time for each though; we spent 5+ hours at each of them.
Toronto is about a 90 minute drive from Buffalo.

I was kid at the time. My family gathered around the radio to listen to the game live, Van Miller with the call. I could not believe what was happening, although it did not surprise me, as I knew that that Bills team was good and experienced.
You might ask why we gathered around the radio? The game was blacked out in the Buffalo area, which was common in the 80's, even with a playoff team. Rich Stadium had a capacity of 80.020, which I believe was the largest in the NFL at that time.
I also heard it on the radio. I remember where I was sitting.

You think the Curse started in 2000? You apparently missed the 1970s and 4 or so Superbowls.

Is Brock Osweiler part of this deal?
Brownies could set a record for the most cash paid to quarterbacks who don't take a single snap all season

You have history backwards. The QB could get rid of the ball to escape a sack anywhere in the past. They established the tackle box to benefit the defense. If the defense successfully rushes the passer the QB no longer can just toss the ball anywhere to avoid a sack.
Revisionist history.
It was enacted in 1993 to keep the QB from getting hit. I remember it.
-
The kneel down has never struck me as one of football's glaring problems screaming for a solution.
However, when it comes to rule changes that ruined the game, the worst-ever may be the "tackle box" rule. I don't know why they ever made this rule except to give a competitive advantage to the offense. I say intentional grounding is intentional grounding.
Wow, I've kept that inside for a long time. What a relief!

What's your take? Where does he land?

He'd never lay a glove on Fred Jackson

Raise your hand if you knew they couldn't execute it. 🤚
That's a tough play with the 1s out there. With the 3s out there he should have called a play he thought they might be able to execute. Especially when Sean made it clear (by going for 2) that he was playing for the win.
