Is the Admiralty Pub in Trafalgar Square an unofficial meeting spot for Bills fans who don’t have tixs to other events?  Go Bills.

Looks like The Admiralty is an official NFL designated team pub - https://www.nfl.com/news/london-game-week-of-game-events

The UK/London/Manchester Bills groups' socials are probably the best bet for all things events wise over the course of the week.

  2. We're up to 13 confirmed fine folk for the curry on Saturday night before the game. If anyone else would like to joins us (even just to get us off unlucky number 13!) they'd be most welcome.

I'll be calling the restaurant to confirm numbers tomorrow night.

Hi BritBill, can you count myself (Graeme) and my friend Ed (the Eagles fan!) - in for the curry booking please?  Looks great. We're coming down on the Saturday from Edinburgh.

Of course, GG. I'll be in touch with final details at the end of the week.

  4. Any more the curry house on Saturday 7 October at 7:30pm?

    Eastern Eye Balti House

    63A Brick Lane

    E1 6QL

Restaurant is in between Shoreditch High Street London Overground & Aldgate East tube stations on the famous Brick Lane in the East End of London.

I'll be calling to reserve a table this Saturday.

Are there other bars and establishments near the Bills backers bar in London if you don’t have tixs to event but still want to hang w Bills fans?

The UK Bills group have mentioned The Admiralty pub as a designated Bills pub for the weekend. The address is 66 Trafalgar Square, St James's, London, WC2N 5DS. The nearest tube station to the pub looks like Charing Cross served by the Bakerloo and Northern lines.

There's also the The Fitzrovia Belle pub which is where the UK Bills meet to watch games. The address for this is 74 Tottenham Ct Rd, London, W1T 7NS. The nearest tube station is Goodge Street which is served by the Northern Line. You could do both mentioned pubs using the Northern Line!

I hope this helps. The UK Bills social media channels would be the best place to get more information.

    Where will be going?

I am told that this place is excellent:

    Dishoom

Here is the plan - https://easterneyebricklane.co.uk

Are you wanting to join us? We have 7 so far.

Dishoom is excellent though. My stepson used to work at the branch in Manchester. The bacon naan bread sandwich is one of the best breakfasts  you’ll ever have.

I use the Time and Date website to get a two week forecast. Right now it’s showing 71 and cloudy for the game….but remember it’s London so it changes pretty regularly.

Any wind will be a non-factor. Spurs stadium is a big closed bowl.

No roof so rain will have an impact if there is any.

  7. If anyone else is wanting to join us for a curry on Saturday 7th evening could drop me message to confirm that would be great.

We’ll be aiming to eat at 7pm.

I’ll look at reserving the restaurant this time next week.

Meh the last couple of tube strikes have been damp squibs. Bad for the morning of the first day and then basically fine. Too many scabs.

    Let's see.

I wouldn't want to be used a political pawn either. Fair play if that's the case.

He does make some throws sometimes that just leave you speechless. The one to Diggs at the end of the Lions game last year and the TD pass to Kumerow in Denver a couple of years ago are two that immediately spring to mind. Incredible power mixed with a perectly finessed release. Guy is a rare talent.

I quite often keep the third down throw from the end zone to Cole Beasley v Dallas on Thanksgiving for a night the missus goes to bed early.

Hi, is a meal here on the Saturday night happening?  I'm a Scot who will be in London for the game, with a buddy who is an Eagles fan (a surprisingly good guy), and we'd be keen for a curry and to meet up with folk.

We're also going to the Millwall v Hull match in the afternoon, so will hopefully survive that in one piece!

Yes, happy for this to go as planned. We (my son, my friend, his son and I) will be going for a curry regardless so we can arrange a time in a week if that's suitable? Probably look to eat 7pm-ish. I can't imagine numbers will be that high for it but it's still be good meet fellow fans. I'm happy to send you my mobile number.

My friend and his son are Cowboys fans so no arguing with your Eagle mate mind you 😁

Good luck with the Millwall/Hull match. We thought about going to QPR v Blackburn but decided we see enough live soccer during the season and it's an NFL weekend so going to keep it as that.

So is this in lieu of the Regent Street closing they did last time?

Yes. What they have planned looks pretty similar to what they did on Regent Street.

Does anyone know which Sideline is the HOME SIDE /  Bills sideline in London?  Don't have tickets yet and would prefer to be on the Bills side

Bills should be on the East side.

British English words and usage are cool and I am always learning. Terms like "brillo", "ladder", "pond", and "f*g" (bad word in American English) I learned in college, but things like the aforementioned "fixture", "TV listings", and "BST" I just learned.

Brillo?! That’s a new one on me! 🤣

I’d probably use “tele” instead of “TV”. Of course, there’s a lot of regional language differences within the UK as well. Even with it being so small.

  13. Re the Sunday “early game”  on Sky in the UK. It’ll be shown from the start on Sky Sports NFL but from 7pm on Sky Sports Main Event.

Main Event is a pointless channel as all it shows is one live event which is being shown on one of the other Sky Sports channels. You get Main Event “free” if you subscribe to all the other Sky Sports channels.

So, it’s showing the soccer first and switches to the NFL game once the soccer has finished.

With Sky Sports NFL currently being a dedicated NFL channel all the chosen live games are shown in their entirety on there.

Just in case anyone was wondering why Sky would show a live game but miss the first hour.

It wasn't the losses on their own, it was more the spectacularly incompetent fashion in which those games played out, particularly the last one. Brutal even for the Bills.

It may turn out that I have to find a way into the game regardless if I can't locate a suitable viewing spot.

Plenty of tickets floating about over here if you do need one.

Out of character? it is his character.

I am a lifelong bills fan but I think Milano is one of the dirtiest players in the league. I have little respect for how he carries himself on the field, he reminds me of Bill Romanowski

(please dont ban me for my opinion. this was opinion

What examples do you have to form that opinion?
