  1. Poor spelling and puns aside. Very classy move by Zay. I watched the video of Pancho addressing the team at the pregame meal Saturday night. It was inspiring and very emotional. Very glad to see him recognized by the team he passionately supports. Making the best of a terrible situation. I found this article which I think is relevant to the OP.

    Don’t know.

    Use your imagination.

I will assume that Barkley plays well next week and they let him play out the season.

And he leads us to a 7 game win streak (but we still miss the playoffs).

My priority for this season is and always has been about Allen's development and being able to determine if he is capable of playing the position. Making/not making the playoffs or having a winning record is not how I am looking at this season. I would prefer to see Josh learn and improve every week. The big picture is more important to me than a 9-7 record. JMO

  3. I admit I was 100% wrong about Barkley today.  I could not have imagined he would help the Bills lay a 40 burger on the Inept Jets. Defense did what it does and FINALLY....FINALLY we looked like a legit professional offense on the field. Even if it is for 1 game. This Board will be so much better as we go into the bye with a win. Well played today Buffalo. KUDOS

  4. I am glad we ended the playoff drought last year. The total number of QB's to start for Buffalo  since the "Music City debacle" is devastating. Don't get me started on how many QB's have started games for us since Jimbo stepped down. WOW. This isn't even what's available at the bar at 3am ugly. More like "The bar is closing, lets troll the parking lot". OUCH

The Bears after 2017 also understood that their head coach and staff obviously weren't good enough to develop the young QB and offense and mold the team into a winner.

Will the Bills recognize the same fact about McDermott?

It's merely speculation at this point and until McDermott has the tools he feels he needs to put his team on the field, we won't know until after the 2019 season anyways.

Not true.  He and Beane said repeatedly this is a passing league and its critical you can throw from the pocket.  There is a REASON they took a QB with a big arm...thats to throw.

Some of you cant separate what he wants to do with the only thing this team can do.  We have no passing attack, you act like he CHOOSES not to have it.  Our young QB is hurt, our WR and OL is subpar.  He is trying to run because this team cant currently throw.  Not because he feels we should just be a power run team.

Some of you really need to separate yourselves from this year and get a grip.  Trubisky playing almost a full season only threw SEVEN TD's last year...SEVEN.  Now look at him with new weapons around him to work with and a year under his belt.  Different team now and they are looking to throw more and downfield more despite being a run first team prior because they couldn't throw.

    Good post AD7:

There is a "big picture" element to what is being done that some of us can't see or choose not to. Rather be emotional than analytical. We clearly are the 2017 Bears. and yes teams can go from worst to first. Yes this was expected by The Pegula's, Beane and McDermott. Especially after Wood and Ritchie retired at the same time just weeks before the draft after the decision to draft a QB had already been determined. The fact that we are carrying so much dead cap prevented us from addressing the loss of Eric and Incognito effectively. McCarron was brought in to win the job. He couldn't and didn't want to be 3rd string. Beane dropped the ball on signing a competent WR in the offseason again because of the salary cap and the day he traded McCarron he should have signed a vet QB for JA.  And anyone that revels in the fact that Mahommes is the next GOAT, need to consider who he had at RB,WR AND TE. the Chiefs have a fantastic O-line and are loaded at the skill position on the offense. Any QB would look good in a Chiefs uniform this season, just as any QB would look pathetic in a Bills uniform. This season was expected to be bad. It stinks, It's no fun. But people really need to stop looking for the nearest bridge and chill. And gear up for 2019.

  7. I saw he was in there and honestly thought our up the middle pass protection was better. Hard to tell how well he did run blocking since Bodine, Mills  and Dawkins were getting destroyed on every attempt. It is really hard to evaluate individual players especially interior lineman. Simply put our overall line play was horrid but to his credit for his first game action he didn't embarrass himself.

  8. I expect the Bills to acquire picks by trading down in next years draft. I also expect them to handle next offseason similar to the way the bears handled this past offseason. Except we won't be acquiring a new HC or Coordinators. Except for McCoy, Jones, Allen and Dawkins expect a HUGE and well deserved turnover on offense. Peterman will probably go to the practice squad once either Allen or Anderson return this season. I also would not be surprised if Anderson was placed on IR if he doesn't clear protocol soon. I hope that Allen returns to the field soon, clearly he is missed on gameday.
