To me this says the Buffalo Bills will not select Lamar Jackson or Mason Rudolph at #12.  If they can't get up for one of the top 4 they are going to go BPA at #12 and it won't be a Quarterback.

Respectfully......Because the mocksters know more than the GM’s and their staff?  Personally I hope they get Jackson at #12 and keep all our picks....but we all have our opinions.

None of those things apply to kneeling during the National anthem.

By the way, gun ownership is a constitutional right. Protesting during company hours is not. If someone were to choose to wave an NRA flag on the football field during a game, they could be fired for that.

Just to add.....just because you have your right to (insert constitutional right).....does not mean there isnt a counter to you. You have your legal right but every action has a reaction.

Exactly Yolo!! I think PFF has an adjusted completion % based on drops by his receivers. Everything about Jackson's game improved from his Heisman winning season with the exception of total TDs and that could've been due to the drops. Lamar is a DYNAMIC talent at the QB position and I would be ecstatic if he landed with the Bills. I also haven't heard of any "off the field" issues about him.

Agree 100% with you and Yolo. BB says best player available.......Jackson at #12, or a move higher to ensure we get him because he is the total package. Vea or Vander Esch with #22 and Beane will Win Round 1

That's fine but if his kidneys and liver are shutting down as he said.....wouldn't he be hospitalized?

You would think so yes,  or maybe its an early diagnosis.....Im not a DR.  But, if I had a few million in the bank,  was a younger guy like Ritchie and heard that from a doc.....Id pack it up too.

I understand where you are coming from.  I personally have tried to stay out of this QB draft talk as much as possible.

My main comments have typically been to the far extremes of the options.

I see Beane "finalizing" his QB rankings and worth (what he is willing to trade for each QB) in the next few days.

Come draft day I am sure he will contact all GM's concerning trade options.  He and his team will do what they can to get

who they can.  I will sure enjoy the draft this year.  Bill's definitely need a QB and it will be exciting.

As to your comment about staying at #12.  Beane has to be wary of Miami and others jumping so if he "over drafts" a bit I see no problem.

From the beginning I had no problem of using (at a minimum) the 2-1st's and the 3rd from the TT trade.  If Beane has to use MORE than that

I sure hope the guy he gets is worth it.

By the way, welcome to the board!

Thanks for the welcome.  Im all for moving up some, maybe make a deal with Tampa or the Colts. I have a good feeling Beane will pull off a deal and hang onto most of our picks.....and get a QB.  This draft will be the best, cant wait!.

Who's the quarterback of the Patriots?  How many MVPs has he won and how many times has he lead his team to the Super Bowl, let alone them winning it?  Imagine how that team would be with Taylor or Manuel as their quarterback.  How did the Packers do last season before Rodgers went out compared to what they did with him healthy?  Perhaps this explains emphasis on quarterbacks.

Very true but kinda the wrong examples for the moving up crowd.... but you are spot on the need for a QB. The Patriots drafted Brady in the 6th round....#199 to be exact off the board. Rodgers went off 1st round #24......On this board they woulda been considered ‘no good’ for not being Top 5.  My point and some others....Whats wrong with sticking at #12?  Im sure like all drafts names will be called and everyone will be scratching their heads.

I think it is the right thing if you can move down a few spots and add some picks. Especially given the needs.

Im really with the stay at #12 bunch, see what happens and hopefully reap the benefits of 2 picks in the first round, and the 2’s and 3’s.  Of course if draft night comes along and we can get ‘our’ guy, move up some and get him. IMO we have enough quality picks, but I do see your point. Im thinking Beane will be in attack mode with his picks to build this team, and if he moves anywhere its up.

Plan A is go up and get Josh Rosen

Plan B is go and get Sam Darnold

Plan C is go and get Baker Mayfield

Plan D ,with the remaining picks , trade back acquire some more picks

Plan E fill the hole at LB, OL, WR and other positions of which we will have plenty of picks after plans A,B,C

Plan  F watch the waiver wire and remember that you can't build a team in one year

Remove ‘D’ and Im with you.

Are we sure we want to trade up?  Just tried it again, and if it tells anything, it's that this draft is deep.  If we keep the picks, they can add some top talent.

I hope that is the case but its not a popular thought on TBD.  IMO dont trade down, and dont over reach and move up and sell the farm........unless something we cant refuse falls our way......sit tight and chill. Even looking at some of the examples on this thread, look at who we might get.

I will predict tho that the Pats and Niners are not done just yet.  BB and the Pats are like a bank or insurance company.....there is never a transaction they dont win. Pats move up again.....bank on it.

Was thinking about ways to make a dynamic improvement in the 2018 Buffalo Bills.

    Here is my trade offer.

Bills offer pick 12, 22, 53, 1st and 2nd 2019 picks for Giants 2nd pick and Odell Beckham Jr.

Would you make this offer and would the Giants be interested.

Assuming Cleveland takes Josh Allen, who would you select at pick number 2?

The Giants would in a heartbeat.....

I like this rational. Beane very well may feel only one guy is worth the capital to move up. Also agree that there is serious reason to doubt the Giants want to trade down in fact I don't think they "want to trade down" but under certain circumstances and the right assets in return may consider it. Too many here assume they are willing to trade down. Frankly #12 is probably not that attractive to them.

Exactly and well said.  I always try and flip the deal......would we trade out of #2?  Imagine the horror if we did that.

It’s obvious the op wants the Bills to keep all their picks.

Why the attempts to persuade those who want to get a QB to change their thoughts?

I've almost seen everything here with the arguments not to draft a QB via trade up.

Its getting old. You either want to or not. The Bills management will decide, not us.

and likely take their QB with their 1st pick, wherever it is.  Still not panic time......yet

I get it but they make bad moves all the time. They're successful because they have the GOAT QB and GOAT head coach. Their draft classes are usually average. They traded Garroppolo for a 2nd which might go down as one of the worst trades of all time. It's obviously great for them that they were able to rent Cooks for a year for basically nothing, but it didn't end up mattering.

I have this feeling that the Jimmy G trade may have another Pats favorable element to it.....behind the scenes

After last season's TNF game I would hesitate to call the Jets irrelevant when it comes to the Bills

The Bills are notorious for getting pounded in prime time

I really don't give a damn what crazy Cleveland does - they'll screw it up anyway on the field!  The Giants, Jets & Colts - who cares as they are irrelevant?

I just believe our GM, Scouting Staff & HC will make intelligent decisions to FIX a team that's been a loser for 17 season's.   Last year was fun but we certainly didn't have a roster to make a play-off run.  I give credit to the HC and his staff for even keeping us competitive.

Whatever this group does with the picks - - -it will FIX this team for years to come!

Im with you....I can honestly say Im totally confident with their choices......trust the process!

I honestly think Jameis Winston is holding them back. I'm not alone on this. He has incredible talent and arm strength athleticism you name it. After years of check down Charlies in Buffalo I think Jameis needs to learn how to check the ball down occasionally always trying to make the wow play instead of moving the chains and getting the first downs. He definitely is fun to watch though and Mike Evans is such a beast I wish we took him instead of Sammy.

Agreed on Winston, its always been his downfall.....WHEN he gets it right look out.  Evans is my favorite receiver, he does it all.
