Completley disagree with this. Some players need to sit and learn. A lot come from offenses that don't translate to the pros or have issues with their footwork or throwing motion. Throwing a guy in that isn't ready can ruin a player.
.
Will only ruin them if they were never meant to be a starter in the first place. Throughout these guys lives they hire coaches to get them ready for the NFL. By this time in their life they are either ready to face NFL or they aren't.

Well they need the rookie to sit for a year so the guy can not have the world on his shoulders. Let tyrod take that for a year
Letting rookies sit is a myth. If he can't handle the pressure he never will. The world weights the same this year as it will next year. If anything the pressure will get worse as Tyrod puts up ****ty numbers.

The big difference is you cant ruin a guy by letting him learn as much as he can in a back up role. You most certainly can ruin a guy by starting him prematurely.
A QB can only ruin himself if he was never meant to be a starting QB.

They need a class to teach these kids "If she's hot keep it a secret, if she's not... Than it is rape."

Yup. Probably 3200 yards passing, 500 rushing. 26 total tds and 5-6 picks. They will win a bunch as well. Not playoffs but probably 6 games.
If the Browns don't want to be the Browns forever they better hope Tyrod never touches the field.

Fair enough, maybe I'm letting my personal opinion get in the way on that, but I really don't think so, he sucks.
That part kind of destroyed your % part of the post. Looks like you are fine as long as you choose the right QB. And you aren't fine if you are a team like the Browns or Redskins.

How can you say this with such certainty?
No different then you saying sitting helped. Hell coaches try to sit the rookies but they end up getting shoved in ASAP b c sitting does nothing in reality.
The only way to get better is to actually play the game, learn the speed of the game.

Rodgers and Jimmy G. we're both lower graded qb prospects. Both of them sat and learned the nuances of the game. Look where they are at now far from a backup qb.
They would have been fine if they started immediately. Both were forced to be behind HoF QBs... The Bills don't have one of those.

What do you think his stat line will be if he plays 16 games for them?
Lots of rushing, almost last in passing... Like usual. Minimal turnovers b.c he won't throw to a WR UNLESS they are open.

No way. Sitting allows a qb to learn the nuances of the NFL. If a guy isn't mentally ready to play the game then you're just going to destroy him not develop him by putting him into start day 1. I believe you can teach the mental aspect of the game where as you cannot teach the physical aspwct of the game. So if the rookie has all the physical tools but is struggling with reading a defensive coverage or the terminology of the offense letting him sit and learn these thing would be way more beneficial than throwing him to the wolves. I feel like this does happen to guy which just slowly destroys them over time.
Hopefully the Bills don't make that mistake again and pick a QB by your description will be nothing more then a career backup. In the NFL you either get it or you won't.

Cheap isn't a thing with QB unless they are rookies. Look at what Cutler got last year, the cheapest starter would be teddy but he is a major if, after that you have mccown and mccaron whom I not high on at all. Then you reach Bradford and keenum but they may give you the most wins or time to develop your rookie QB or pass if the price is too high, both can get you to the playoffs.
Cutler was signed to be the starter. A QB will only develop correctly if he plays.

Florida... No blinkers, if there is a small curve in the highway everyone jams on their brakes.
NJ has the best drivers b/c they are aggressive as you need to be in this day and age.

Let them battle it out. May the best man win. If it's the rookie great if not don't throw him in there and potentially destroy his career.
Letting a QB sit doesnt do anything but keep them from experiencing what they need to so they can become better. The only thing that can destroy a QB's career is if they were never meant to be a NFL QB in the first place.

It all depends who the rookie is and if he adapts to the NFL quickly. Watson did it last year, but, none of those beloved puppy QB's have the body of work that Watson had with multiple national championship games under their belt and multilple 10 win seasons either. Most if not all will sit a year or two (like A Rogers did behind Farve) Get a grip my man!!!
If you have it you have it... if you dont you never will at QB. Sitting doesnt help.

Maybe you failed to read where I said he'd not prevent us from getting a rookie and I'd still get one.
Why do you need him then if you are getting a rookie?

These are smart NFL men. They are here for the LONG TERM! Trading away two #1 picks and more isn't their style. ESPECIALLY when there is NO standout Quarterback in this draft. NO Manning, NO Luck and NO Newton. It's a crap shoot and everybody knows that.
Get a CB, LB or DL in the first Round. Grab a QB like Rudolph, Falk or Lauletta in the 2nd. With the other 2nd rounder get a RB or WR. I can't image what we can do with two 3's, a 4 and two 5's to fill-out our needs.
Then take a look at Glennon, Bradford or Bridgewater for $7-8 mil as a veteran presence at QB. We'll have Free Agency for the O-Line.
We've become a SMART organization! It's very nice!
lol No QB... Said every year and every year there are QBS, and every year the Bills miss out.

Doesn't matter who we bring in the rookie better be starting week 1

Right... Just like we were only going to win 6 games last season because of Tyrod... FFS.
Dorsey is a damn good GM. Mark my words that Tyrod is going to stop the bleeding for Cleveland.
We don't want that to happen...

Not his fault people fell for what the GM said. He can only report what was said.
