new OC runs the system he ran in college, could end up being best of bunch and keeping all those picks could fill out a roster with alot of holes.  maybe even trade back one pick and shoot for extra RD1 next year

No you take the guy who you think can be the future... Not the leftovers. If they have a guy pegged do all you can to get him, in the NFL you dont get many shots at this.

As I stewed in misery and irritation  today, it has now become apparent that yesterday's press conference was Beane knowing he wasn't going to make the trade to 3 with the Colts. It is very apparent now. I tip my hat to the posters yesterday and today who caught on to this. I really don't even believe that we will be trying to trade into the top 5, I am almost certain that we are looking at the next tier of QBs and are mostly done trading.

That would be retarded and a Bills type of thing to do... wait for the leftovers.

I don't know. I just have this feeling. I have no "inside sources" or anything like that. But this just feels to me like Beane is sitting in his chair at OBD with a big grin on his face. Either they truly have no intentions of moving up from 12 and he made the Jets give away all of their draft capital, OR he already has a deal for #2 in place and didn't want to let anybody know.... Therefore the Jets STILL give up all of their draft capital, and still can't get in front of us.

I don't know. It's just that everything they've done to this point has all been 2-3 steps ahead.

Yea b.c the Jets were a big problem in this division...

I'm telling you right now, anyone who thinks yesterday was lip service from Beane...

I think Beane saw an opportunity to shed salary and move up in the draft with Glenn.

There is a very strong possibility that move didn't entail him automatically moving up as was assumed.

Now the Jets moving up means the Giants can literally ask for anything and I sincerely doubt Beane gives up the cost.

Lol everything a GM says is lip service.

There is a salary cap. One for which we have little room. So it is natural to analyze the value of a player and what sort of contract he deserves. It's intelligent conversation and the complete opposite of parrots actually. It's healthy debate.

Hahahahahaha no.... It isnt the second a contract comes out the parrots squak "Overpaid"

Why is it always "overpay" when it comes to a FA? The NFL has billions of dollars and the salary cap is close to $180M per team. What do you think the contracts will look like?

Its the only word these people know so they repeat it like parrots...

McCarron has the upper hand over a rookie having been in the league a few years so I wouldn't judge anything by who starts the regular season behind center.

If McCarron starts the rookie could still be right on track with how the coaching staff intends on handling his development in my humble opinion.

Nah no coaching staff holds out long enough, lose a couple game and suddenly "The rookie is magically ready" He will play the same week one and week six. Put him in there and let him learn, it cant ruin him it will just show you if he has it or not.

I don't think we've met so I'm not you're buddy yet, but as somebody who has been in the college and high school ranks since I was 24, I'm 58, until a car accident 11 years ago, you really make a good point but take Josh Allen who grew up in the sticks . You think he had a private coach. ? (maybe he did, just guessing )Not all of these guys developed enough early and lived in an affluent enough environment to have pro coaches, which are the most overrated job in the industry. Man, many times they teach them things that is just the opposite of what the coaches want. Sorry to disturb you !!

You either can play QB at the NFL level or you can't. When you were younger they did not have as many recourses as they do now for development for these kids. Don't worry the rookie will start and need to start. No sense letting him sit when the only way to learn fully is to actually play.

Coaches in high school are not teaching them to be a pro. They are teaching them to win games in their system. The asterisk being the private and Catholic schools. Other than that you have high school science teachers teaching them the plays for the most part.

No they hire private coaches buddy. It is very disturbing that you think I was talking about science teachers.

Earlier today there were reports that the Patriots had made an offer to AJ. Later on the Boston Globe says there was no offer made. Perhaps the Hoody wanted AJ to go to the Bills and pretended he wanted him?

Even if that happened I like the signing. Hope we get a good QB in the draft as well. Go Bills!

    We actually fleeced the hoodie.
