I actually think that teams want players to reach their incentives most of the time, and even get them into the game to help them get there if it’s close.Teams can develop a reputation for being helpful or hurtful in these scenarios. Players and agents pay attention to these kinds of things and it has a significant impact during free agency.

I lived in Houston for a couple of years when I was a kid in the 80s. I would’ve gone to the same high school that Ed went to (Westfield), so I’ve always rooted for him a little extra.
The bills rotate their defensive lines so often, at most he gets 60% of the defensive snaps, so I don’t think he’s ever going to have a monster statistical season. Still, the numbers are a little underwhelming, especially since he rightfully gets compared to Quinnen Williams who got drafted in the same year by a divisional rival. Quinnen Williams had 12 sacks last year.
If Ed miraculously breaks out and has 9 1/2 sacks and 12 TFLs, the Bills couldn’t let him walk. At the very least, they’d franchise tag him, and make him play under the tag or trade him to recoup some value - at least I hope.Maybe they secretly like Ed having to play for his contract, though I don’t think I’ve ever read any reports about him being out of shape, not working hard, or being unmotivated since he’s been with the bills. He also seems like a good teammate.
This year I’m hoping that Oliver is finally the monster he was supposed to be. Go Ed! Go Bills!

I wonder if scouts would consider Kincaid a great blocker for a slot receiver. Is he as good a blocker as Cooper Kupp or Jamison Crowder or Evan Engram or THE Beas? It’s probably not fair to stack him up against tight ends when it comes to blocking.
I’m hoping that Dalton Kincaid turns into a way healthier version of George Kittle.

Getting passes from Joe Burrow and Tua helps. I know Anthony Richardson got drafted high as well, but he didn’t play a whole bunch of the games that Shorter played in.
When kids transfer, I think it’s easier to get lost in the scouting shuffle. Brandon being definitely likes to pick players that were five star athletes coming out of high school. This absolutely fit that bill. -
Justin shorter was supposed to be a superstar at Penn State. Off the charts physical traits. He transferred to Florida and I think he got lost in the shuffle somehow. Maybe in the midst of all the Covid stuff.

I thought this look was justifiably gone forever. At least it’s a little less pronounced than it used to be, but it looked so stupid when every team had colors like this a few years ago. No clue why they wouldn’t just keep the collar running right into the NFL logo.

How much of the contract would the Cardinals eat? Could they lower the cap hit for the bills significantly? I would think doing that is worth a higher pick. They would be accommodating the bills and their cap situation.

I think they are going to take Darnell Washington at 27. There is not another player like him in the NFL. He mauls guys in the run game, He can give Josh extra time if either tackle is having a tough day, and just imagine him blocking for Josh on the run. Lots of 12 personnel.

I think he just turned 28. Drafted in the top 10 the same year as Christian McCaffrey. The running back market is flooded. On the right deal, I think he’s worth a look.

Jeudy is a pro bowler along with Diggs if he comes here, barring injury of course, which hasn’t been easy for him. Good enough to evolve into the #1.
Love the Oliver and a 3rd suggestion above. I really like Ed, but somebody making less can likely provide similar production.-

The thing that jumps out in his highlight videos is how quickly he turns and runs up field after making a catch. That transition is quicker than most receivers I’ve watched.

With all of the defensive lineman brought in, I wonder if boogie basham or aj epenesa have enough value to move up in the draft.
We don’t think of them as “veterans” but they are not rookies. Both are recent second round picks.

All the rules are different in the post-season. Being a dual threat puts so much pressure on the defense.

They literally kept a fixed camera pointed at the construction site the entire time so you could log in every day and see how much work was done.
