straight up is astronomical odds against...… I'd jump on that parlay if it was with the points, but without the points I'd would of rather placed that $25 on the Bills to win the Superbowl, I would feel better about that bet

Lol, both teams are a +1350 to win straight up money line. For BOTH to win.. You’d probably have a better chance of seeing a midget carrying a grand piano down the street by himself.. ?? The parlay with the points pays out the normal 2:1. That is why I couldn’t believe the odds/payoff of the straight up wins.

  2. Right now the Jests and Fins are roughly 20 point underdogs. A $25 straight up parlay bet pays out over $5k if they both win. I have NEVER seen anything like this before in the NFL. (I’d post a screenshot of the bet/odds, but I’m “OnLy aLlOweD 2mBs”

I have to admit this game scares me for various reasons

Firstly it's week 2.. and we really don't know how good or bad teams are, unless you're in the upper tier of teams (Pats) or the lower tier (Dolphins).

Secondly, and I know the sample size is small.. but we always have a hard time against the Giants and Eli.  I don't believe we have ever beaten them (Eli Giants)

Thirdly, this just seems like a let down game for the Bills.. Actually feels like early 2015 when we came off a big road win against the Dolphins and we came home to play the Giants, as favorites.. and they handled us.

Lastly, watching the offense of the Giants against the Cowboys..   Eli still seems to have something left in him, Engram can be a beast, and Saquan > Bell

Anyways, I really hope I'm wrong, and this new regime of Bills takes the tone of McBeane - never too high, never too low... and takes care of business

    Go Bills

I agree. My betting instincts keep telling me NYG win this one.

Its the beginning of the league year, and the league tries to keep teams as close to .500 as they can. (So that attendance doesn’t drop for any said team)

look for teams with an 0-1 record, to win at home this week. (yellow flags)

(This does not include Miami. However, I wouldn’t be shocked.)

its usually week 2 or 3 that all the strange upsets happen.

There is nothing on this planet that works harder than AB’s autocorrect.

You ever think that his phone just sits there thinking to itself.. “Damn. What did I ever do to get stuck with this guy?”

Thankfully football pays well, or else this guy would have a hard time finding a job even as a speed bump...

(This will probably get thrown out of court quick. 1) No criminal charges, lack of evidence. 2) Judge- “If it happened once, WHY did you keep going back for the other 3 times!?!”)

I did not see the smelling salt part, and which hit do you think he hit his head on?

I’m not EXACTLY sure which play it was in the 1st quarter, but remember seeing it bounce off of the turf, and thinking “ouch.” The smelling salt was right before the commercial break before the game winning drive.

I thought the league/individual teams now have spotters in the booth whose sole job is to ferret out possible plays that have concussed players and then pull them out?

I thought so too.. but if he says, “nah, I’m good.” Like I could see him doing.. Nothing to look at here.. ya know?

Players and coaches (Adam Gase) hit smelling salts all the time just to juice themselves up a little more. Hockey players are constantly doing it. Not a big deal at all.

Lol, too funny because I could see Gase on some smelling salts! ?? I didn’t know about the quick “pick me ups” regarding it though. Mods can close this thread if they like. Sorry for any stirring of the pots.

  6. I’m not going to use the “C” word here. This is not an excuse thread. I am simply asking if anybody else saw him hit the smelling salts before the commercial break, on the game winning drive.

During the 1st quarter, (12:55, right before his 1st fumble) I saw his head bounce off the turf after a pressure when the pass was gone. Didn’t think TOO much of it, until I saw him hit the salt. Did anyone else catch this? Just wondering..

Not all teams take year to get their acts together under new coaching regimes.  The Bears won 12 games last season under new HC Matt Nagy after winning only 5 in 2017.   The Colts won 10 games last season under new HC  Frank Reich after winning only 4 games the previous season.   The Rams made the playoffs in their first season under McVay and made the Super Bowl in his second.  The Eagles won the Super Bowl in Pedersen's second season.

Compare the rosters between this years Jets and the teams you listed. I’m pretty sure they’re not in the same ballpark. Also, I’m pretty sure the Colts were something like 1-5 before turning it around last season. (With a veteran QB) Sometimes the pieces are already in place and only need the coach to bring things together. I’m pretty sure this is not the case with the ‘19 Jets.

That’s not always a positive, that means theres 32 games worth of film on our schemes and none on theirs

Im pretty sure that they would just check out past seasons of the Dolphins if they wanted an idea of the offense, and any Gregg Williams defense of the past 20 years to get them up to speed on that side of the ball.

  9. I think that perhaps the most significant aspect that both sides are overlooking is the fact that this will be year 3 for Buffalo (2 for JA) in the same system.

For the Jests to think that they’ll just be hitting on all cylinders come opening day year 1 on both O and D, might be misleading...

So I called DTV about 212-1

"Edmond" told me that this is currently a temporary channel, that has no dates/times attached to it. If you receive 212, you should get 212-1.

For those of you that are in-market for Bills games, I asked if he could guarantee that we'd receive the Bills game via this channel during preseason and regular season (currently cannot get CBS due to Nexstar blackout). He could not do this, but instead is sending us a 'free' local channel receiver that we can hook up to our current service in order to receive CBS to bypass the blackout.

If it works, I should be good for the season. Regardless, I will call back to complain about the service the new receiver provides, to see if I can weasel out a good Sunday Ticket deal.

You should call back and raise hell just based on the fact that you have no local channels. Keep emphasizing the fact that due to not having any local channels, you’re not allowed to watch football on Sundays. “Even the worst cable companies, can provide local channels. Why can’t a media giant like ATT???” Request that they fix the inconvenience by giving you Sunday ticket.

Mention the fact that surely it is in some form a breach of contract on their end not to carry such basic channels, and it’s on them to remedy this situation.

Try using nicer words to start off, and if they seem less than receptive, start tearing into them. 99% of the time I would get further by saying please and thank you.

    "I heard that!"

    (should be his tag line.)

JA should have smoked him out of that chair with a 70mph fast ball. After regaining consciousness, and cleaning up some of the blood, JA then should have calmly trotted over and said, “Sorry, that one got away from me. I’m sure you guys have heard about my accuracy issues.” ?‍♂️

Do firesticks get local channels? I’m unfamiliar with them. If so, I will be grabbing one. He was speaking of getting channel 4 (CBS) for opening day of the Bills.

It depends on which service you sign up for, but yes, the ones I subscribe to do. Now, do they all have cities like Rochester? Not typically. However, they do carry all the major cities across the US. So you could watch through the other teams local channel if Buffalo isn’t available. 1 subscription that I have carries the NFL ticket, and the other I’m 99% sure will. (Can’t confirm, bc I didn’t use this one last year, but the set up makes it all but assured that they will.)

Ps, you will need to “jailbreak” the firestick in order to be able to download the apps. (It literally takes 2 seconds to do) Also, if you’re interested in a DVR feature, I would recommend Fire Tv, instead of Firestick.

    That blows.  Sorry, man.

Man, somebody has got to give us a heads up on this.  I’ve had people over for the last 4 years now on opening day and, as situated, it really is not convenient to run an antenna.  75” tv, with the center of it about 9 feet off the ground and 10-12 feet away from a window and pretty damn tricky to try and suspend a line.

Go grab an Amazon Firestick, or Fire tv (if you’d like dvr) They’re like $40-$60. Best investment I’ve ever made. Had DTV for over 15 years. Won’t ever look back. If you’d like to know more about the process dm me. Go Bills!
