You need more than owners and officials. What is the point of fixing a game? What money? Who is getting the money in your opinion?

    People want a conspiracy badly.

I am not going to answer your questions, because I would like for you to think for yourself.

Here’s a better conspiracy for you..

How is it that a multi-billion dollar industry suffers from league wide poor officiating year after year, and yet do “nothing” about it?

Why is it an automatic fine (and usually the most costly) when players and coaches speak out about the officiating?

Why don’t the officials have to talk to the press after each game like the coaches and players? Surely the press would have some questions for them as well, since they largely impact the outcome of each game.. 🤷‍♂️

The problem with fixing anything is keeping people quiet. You’d need thousands of people to stay quiet. It’s not happening. Thats why I don’t believe it’s possible.

Heck, look what happened to Michigan. When too many people know about something it’ll always get out.

You don’t need thousands of people to be in on it. Only the owners, commissioner, and the refs.

You can’t let the coaches or players in on it. They’ll start to not care and will start to half-ass it on the field. Which would be noticed by the fans, and would also lead to an inferior product.

You want a job as an NFL official? Here, sign this NDA, first. Now if we find out that you spoke about any of this, we take legal actions against you, and take everything you own. Or, you can shut up and get paid $250k per year to work 1 day per week for approximately 25 weeks.

Look at the league standings. It’s no surprise that most teams are right around .500. It keeps the fans interested in their teams, and keeps attendance up.

The owners are a collective unit of BILLIONAIRES. Most with very complex businesses besides their NFL team. Do you think that they don’t see “an officiating problem”? They have new rules every year for player safety and to tinker with the rules of the game, but they’re not going to bring up the officiating at all??

At what point do people start to connect the dots, follow the money, and see things for what they are, rather than just saying.. “It can’t be so”

Washington was the 3rd team in NFL history to win their division with a losing record last year.  They should lose out to get a better shot at a QB in next year's draft.

Giants and cowboys were only 1 game back with 1 left to play. Are you sure none of them caught up to WTF?

You could just go be a Jags fan since you obviously love to be doom and gloom about a team.

    Options are available.

YES!! All of my doom and gloom posts!! Please show them to me! I must have THOUSANDS out there, of just pure gloom! While the others are mostly doom! I try to keep the two separated, because too much gloom, and too much doom, in the same place, at the same time.. not good!

But seriously.. are you this much of a dbag in real life, or just on message boards?

Ya a 7 win playoff team that we shutout 35-0 .

We dominated the Jets today who beat Tennessee.

It's a strange league.  They'll be fine. We'll be fine

Sorry everybody!! I forgot that jokes were not allowed here! Won’t happen again! 👍

The 7-9 winner of their crappy division last year. And they've been pretty bad this year. Obviously they are closer to turning the corner to being a bad team then a good team. Take away the special teams play and the Jags actually played the Colts tough today just like the Bills last week. And that's at Indy.

Sorry everybody!! I forgot that jokes were not allowed here! Won’t happen again! 👍

  6. I’m not saying that i/they WANT to trade TE. IF it does happen it will ONLY be due to cost cutting measures.

i will say this.. Should they find a way to land, and keep all 3 LB’s, This D would be nasty.

I haven’t looked at MM’s contract. But you’d think that Beane left a way out after year 2/3 like he does with others. If MM continues to get hurt, maybe they cut bait and walk with TE and JOK.. 🤷‍♂️

  7. For those saying that we wouldn’t get much in return for TE right now. Which players in the back half of RD 1 would you rather have than TE.

Last I checked, none of them were 2x pro bowlers, and some even older than he is.

Again, this isn’t something that I’d like to see happen, but if he did get traded, I believe it would be out of necessity and cap relief moving forward.

  8. (I’m not saying that I’d like to see any of this happen. Just that I wouldn’t be shocked if it did.)

Just a shot in the dark here, so 🐻 with me. All tinfoil hats, smoke and mirrors welcome.

it has recently come out that our GM is looking to trade up. (This I believe)

More specifically for 1 player. Travis Etienne. (I don’t believe for one second that Beane would advertise to the world who he is targeting) I believe that there is interest on our part regarding the RB, however. Take a look at our roster on paper. One could easily believe that a dynamic RB could be at the top of the wish list. (Which makes this a very plausible, and believable lie.)

I do believe that he is targeting the 20-25 range.

If I had to throw a name to the specific target, my guess would be Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. A snippet from

    https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/jeremiah-owusu-koramoah/z6O8Q1jcXp

“Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah projects as an impact defender at the NFL level. There’s an undeniable level of explosion to his game that helps Owusu-Koramoah mask the limitations of his game on account of his stature. An ideal match from a team perspective would be one that wants to stay in their base defensive personnel at a higher than average rate, where Owusu-Koramoah’s versatility can shine brightly against spread sets. There’s plenty of experience playing as a pressure player up the middle and even as a pseudo-third safety who is walked outside the hashes and taking man-to-man reps against wide receivers from the slot. Owusu-Koramoah took a big step forward with his game in 2020 and was in several contests the best football player on the field—he moves at a different speed than his teammates and his instincts to find the football and make big plays is undeniable. The more you watch, the more you love. Just don’t ask him to play a traditional stack role or attempt to work him as the MIKE linebacker for sustained, optimal success.”

Sounds a lot like the type of guy they search out for this defense. (Even the “Do not attempt at Mike”)

Taking things a step further. I believe that Tremane Edmunds will be the trade bait.

I have a hunch that going into this offseason, the FO had a pretty good idea that they’d only be able to keep 1 of 2 linebackers moving forward. We signed MM.

Some will say that nobody will give up a first round pick for a 2x pro-bowler at age 22. I can assure you, somebody will.

One reason I believe that TE is trade bait this Thursday. (And this Thursday, only) is due to the lack of commitment on the 5th year option. True, they’re not due for another couple weeks. However, it’s obvious that they’ll be picking up JA’s 5th. I think they held off on it for now as to not raise any suspicions if they tendered Josh, and not Tremane. Also, leaving his new club with more options and flexibility to go in whichever direction they choose.

    Flame away 🔥 🔥

(As for the original pick at #30? I’m not sure. Possibly a Long Snapper from some DIII school)
