Yeah, well if Josh Allen hadn't had those incompletions, he'd have had a perfect day!

If the Steelers defense just wouldn't have given up those 17 points, they'd have had a better day than the Bills defense!

and if Eleanor Roosevelt could fly, the war would have gone very differently.

Just because I agree with the basic sentiment of something doesn’t make it good. That was trash that a high school freshman could whip out during his walk between classes.

While I have seen this sentiment reflected on TBD I don't recall any other writers discussing fatigue of watching the Patriots win.  I live in Co and have spoken with Broncos fans as well as fans of other franchises (other fans than the Patriots* fans) and there is definitely this type of fatigue amongst NFL fans, I just haven't seen it written yet.  Maybe I missed an article.

  3. Maybe someone brought this up already but the related thing that amazes me is when I watch pretty much any other team and their receivers not only catch the balls thrown to them but also catch some that most would label "circus catches" or catches where everyone is amazed that the receiver could catch it.  Meanwhile our receivers struggle with basics.  If I saw one of our receivers make a spectacular catch I would pinch myself/make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

Where in the hell did the beat NFC teams shtick come from anyways?

I think it was a year or few ago, someone posted that losing the NFC games was advantageous or something like that, thus the running joke... IMO it was funny maybe the first 500 times.

  5. Anyone else seeing a double bind here?  "Throw for over 300 yards to prove to us you are a franchise QB" plus "If you have a big game against bottom of the barrel opponents like the WR then it obviously doesn't count".  If I were JA I would tell everyone to take a hike (actually I would use more profanity).

  6. I can't recall seeing a quarterback with less concern about "padding his stats" than JA.  Probably that is because we have won almost all of them and been  in all of them but something tells me that even if we were to get blown out in a loss JA will never get the memo. As many have noted here, "he is a gamer".   Like the person who wrote the "little dog who thinks he is a big dog" piece.  Of course maybe JA is a big dog and the media and most other non-Homers think he is a little dog.
